As Far as i know the breaking ability on a runway, depends on how the slippyness of the runway is set to in each weather, so there could be a mistake in the Custom Sandane Airports surfaces values when its rainy, or icy.
2:14 The very first thing I do, when I start the a flight, is hitting the space bar to elevate the seating position, because I'm neither a 5 year old in need of a booster seat, nor do I have eyes in my chest. I wish we could make the elevated viewing position the default. Oh... and the Aviat Pitts Special needs to be fixed, because there is an invisible barrier in the canopy that makes the proper seating position unobtainable.
You can make your own default viewing position. Just have a look in the keybinds. I forget what default keybinds for it are, but I simply set #1 custom view as my default, and remap my joystick "center view" button to that instead.

Yes, you need very strong winds for the waves too look like that. Also, keep in mind that MSFS indeed differentiates between open ocean, bays, rivers and lakes with regards to the height and size of the waves. Obviously ocean waves will be much larger than river waves even if the wind speed is the same.
As far as I'm aware we are on for tonight at 22.00 IRISH TIME! lol although I'm sure he'll let us know if he's not going to make it. I know he works on Sundays and only got home an hour before his stream last week, he's a busy man is our Gripp!

Maybe you were able to stop so quickly because you had an empty plane, four thrust reversed engines, anti-lock brakes, and a massive headwind? What was the fuel level?
I live in Melbourne and i am thankful there is at least something there now with that mod instead of the abortion that it was before as stock, but yeah I agree, the mod is far from finished.

One question though: I downloaded and installed quatam river airstrip already a pretty long time ago but I couldn't find the airport on my map (in msfs) also when I searched up "quatam" or the icao code that said its called, it doesn't show any results as an airport. How did you find this airport? (Not on the internet but on msfs)
This may be due to the bug in the VFR map. It is mentioned in the Patch Notes for the latest update that opening the VFR map causes a CTD, but the notes don't mention that there is a workaround. If you open the VFR map AFTER take-off it will cause a CTD. There is a workaround: open the VFR map BEFORE take-off, then close the map. After take-off you should find the map opens and closes normally without a CTD.
I might have to figure out how to make my home airport look real, KMNN, there are NO buildings. I can live with taxi lights in the asphalt. Seriously doubt MS will ever fix it, even though there are building in FSX.
And what's the point of such "sexy 4K"? Either get a 3090 or a 1440p monitor? That stuttering is about as sexy as a toothache. The mods are nice indeed though.
He has got a 3090 ordered and on the way so hopefully he will have super super smooth 4K goodness on the way but I think your overstating how bad it is versus the improvement it offers! hardly noticable on my Dedicated 4K monitor.
@@nemisis_wolf How can that be "hardly noticeable"? It's simply painful to watch. I endured for a while, then just proceeded to flick through the rest of the video. Also, I highly doubt the said improvement is worth it compared to switching from 1080p to 1440p. If even a 2080Ti can't handle it, surely the technology came out a little bit early (just like VR). Just wait and see, after the 3090 he's getting an 8K TV/monitor and the history repeats itself... Because, hey, surely 8K is even better than 4K, the number is twice as big!
Hi Get! It only seems to happen when I pan the camera... It is really enjoying I agree. I ordered a 3090 graphics card to remove the issue and improve the quality. I'm No. 45 in the queue with overclockers uk. : )
@@GripperSim Hello! I wouldn't say that it's "only", but hopefully they are swift enough about dealing with the queue. If it wasn't for the stuttering, it would have been a completely different matter. Hope the 3090 helps (although I have a feeling the CPU could become the choke point then...)
I don't think this is Gripps fault you tube currently changed the advert interval on a lot of content reducing the interval time between ads is really annoying and punishing content creators rather than helping, hopefully Gripp will be able to go Add free at some point but I think doing so at the moment might do more damage to his income and reduce the content, but not sure.

Put CQRA in the World map search field (or Departure Airport) If it's correctly installed into your Community folder, it should show up.
