I went to Bangkok twice and while I'm not into nightlife and going to bars, there are so amazing things to see and do in the city. It is actually my second favourite city visited after Kuala Lumpur
Hello I'm Thai and I'd like to suggest that to be traveling to China town it'd be easiest way to get off at MRT Wat Mang Kon station. It's just located right in the center of China town! Hope you guys enjoy Thailand with happy belly :)

@@SpencerjonesBoxing Jodd Fair at the metro Rama9 station is getting very popular but it starts in the evening. To be honest, the whether in thailand is boiling hot if you still want to come to Thailand , i think you better go for the beach in the south or the east of thailand than staying in Bangkok.
@patrapeetapaneeyapan6957 how do you differentiate between MRT and BTS on Google maps 😅 including busses, do they have any specific colors?
Do you suggest getting a daily or weekly pass for MRT and BTS and bus?
•MRT is the metro so it's a white capital letter M on google map
•BTS is sky train. It's sign looks like rainbow(i guess) with 4lines
crossed in red and blue colors.
•bus is not recommended in bkk.
•I always use credit card(visa) as a ticket when commuting MRT. It's easy and accurate. No need to waste your time waiting for long queue for ticket.
•I'm sure the staff at ticket office both BTS n MRT can help you with a pass specific for travellers.

I've been to Bangkok so many times that I've lost count. The two things that keep me coming back are one, Thai food and two, the Chao Phraya (river of kings).

We arrived bangkok two days ago.
I'm returning for a second time this summer. I can say that Thai people were generally Very friendly and nice, but of course you must also be respectful of their culture and identity - make zero discussion of the royalty or politics. You'll see both extreme wealth and horrific poverty, side by side - I saw plenty of insanely expensive supercars while homeless old barefoot ladies in rags walked in the street. The heat and humidity is absolutely insane. But I'm looking forward to returning, and to see more of the city, its culture etc.
We just showed up for 2 weeks. This video helped my beautiful wife on deciding what to do. Thanks very helpful

When you get there if you ask a tuk tuk driver to take you to the best tailor nearby he will know. But I recommend negotiating the price for best quality

Tuk tuk is pronounced as "took took", vowels have a long sound to them
Tuk Tuk is pronounced as took took and not tuck tuck.
Also, the Khosan area is famous as a backpackers paradise since the late 70s and not recently. The area do attracts a younger crowd on budget, but people don’t visit khosan for “adult entertainment” as it’s not a red light distract.
The creator of this video seems like he has only been to Bangkok once or twice at most, as he has gotten so many points inaccurately.
Your so right, I just commented on his pronunciation, but typical of Americans to miss pronounce most English words, that's why it's known as "bastard's English", also correct that he seems like a first time visitor and not really done a lot of research
I absolutely love Thailand and have been there several times (mostly Phuket, tough). But we stopped going there because we are smokers, and the penalties for smoking has become absolutely insane, even at places where you're not bothering anyone. Which is weird, because we've always seen Thais smoke almost everywhere when we've been there.
Thats such a stupid reason to not go somewhere.
@@Mikestah55 That's your opinion. We just went to Vietnam instead - different, but just as great, and we don't risk jail time for smoking in places we're not bothering anyone. So Thailand is now officially dead to us.
I went to Terminal 21 floor 5 Port 21 as you suggested. Your comment about being some of the best Thai food was ridiculous. It's a Mall. Most of the places that sold Thai food there was low quality cheap food. Maybe you liked it because of the low price. After looking at the approximately 20 food vendors (I expected to find more asked on the way you talked), my wife and I chose to eat Sushi because we were already hungry and the Thai food places looked like junk cheap mall food. The Sushi was good. After that we went over to Soi Cowboy. Cool looking place but there were so many Ladyboys at all the bars, that I/we decided to not even have a drink at any of the bars. If I'm going to a place like that I want to look at girls and not dudes with boobs.
I went to a floating market and it was the worse experience during my stay in thailand. The boat drivers only stopped at shops he get commission from and by his family. There was a crocodile show so even when we said just go to the crocodile show he floated us around for more than a hour behore he took us there

As a long term part time resident of Thailand it bothers my ears listening to you mispronounce words like Lumpini, tuk tuk, Siam, Ayutthaya (God, you butchered that), Sukhumvit, etc. Have you ever actually been there???

The best thing I would do if I was in Bangkok is get a plane ticket to the U.S. Thailand sucks. I lived there for 2 years and all I wanted to do was leave and go home. I don't drink. I don't go to bars.
I don't patronize the vast array of whores. I don't like to be hassled out of any money I might have. The HEAT will drive You insane. GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.
