On her vlog, a Korean TH-camr stated that the famous Michelin crab omelette was not worth the 1.5-hour wait. Her video quickly went viral on the web. I've never tried it because it's too expensive for me, but it's become a must-try menu for tourists visiting Bangkok.
I think Thai style omelette with crab should be eaten with tom yum Kong and rice . Only omelette is just not worth waiting . We paired omelette with other dishes like tomyum , stir fry vegetables , fried rice, ham prik ( spicy sauce varieties ) etc.
For me, Jay Fai is a pure street food legend, no doubt. And it is worth trying her food in this life time :) last time that I visited, a table reservation is not available anymore. Anyway I feel happy to see these kind of comments, so next time it will be easier to get a table.
Most of the food shown here is well presented, look delicious, most are family run, the recipes passed down through generations, not overly expensive, I have tried most if not all, it would be nice if someone helps with the pronunciation, still your selections are great, ended with typical sweet sticky rice accompanied by mellow sweet ripe mangoes or custards. The Thai or Chinese foods are the most preferent, these have significant benefit as economic link for the average earners. A win/win situation.
I'll make just a wish: Next year, I'd love to see in the list "Mapk Phed" (Mark Wien's "ka praw" restaurant, in Ekkamai). It's the best in the city and it sure deserves a place!

jay fai is overrated with rude customer service lol. We brought a 1/2 drank bottle of water in after waiting for hours, and was told that it's not allowed. Jeh O Chula however, is cheap, delicious and was probably the best meal i've had in Thailand

Michelin food rating? Can not tell if it is really good unless same food is serve to you from two restaurants to compare. Trusting the ratings is not really accurate...my choice...spicy, salty or sweet...really depends on what you want
