I always loved outtakes after the movie. Thats definitely a trend id love to see come back, especially the Pixar outtakes, those were the best!

The Pixar outtakes are sending up movies that do that. I'm with Gene on this, they're usually terrible.

@@Nathan-gd7xqThey are *usually* terrible, yes, but they're completely off their rocker here--these were hilarious, especially the one with the other actor biting his tongue and looking away to try to stop himself from laughing at Carrey or the one where the woman screams "Overactor!" at him.

Liar Liar is the best Jim Carrey comedy IMO. That's saying a lot.
I think outtakes show how confident the filmmakers are in their final product. It also demonstrates confidence in the audience. And with Liar Liar, the filmmakers had good reason to be so confident.

Gene's complaints about the outtakes are not only way off in general, that he would choose to make those complaints about the single best use of them in cinema history.
So much so that I think of them as much a part of the movie as any other scene.

    • @LukeLovesRose

I’m not usually a Jim C. fan but I like Liar Liar. My only issue with the movie is the predictable ending. Imo, the film would be more memorable if, instead of having Jim C.’s character reunite with his ex, he continued to tell the truth, even with the 24 hour-wish having expired, and admitted that his ex was better off without him and the best way for him to be a good father was to make the best of the time he spends with his son.

WTF, *neither* of them liked the outtakes at the end of Liar Liar? Sure, those usually suck but this one is probably the best set of outtakes ever shown, especially the guy biting his tongue and looking away while Carrey adlibs (so he doesn't laugh and ruin the take). or the "Overactor!" retort.
