- Deltarune's Tea Holds Many Secrets That Show The True Relationships Between The Characters, And Reveal Something Much Darker. Each character from Kris, to Susie, Ralsei, and Noelle have their own tea, that when compared cleverly show us something that most players may have missed, that we will be solving in today's theory of Deltarune's tea.

Speaking of Ralsei's meta-awareness, there's something that nobody seems to bring up: Ralsei's tendency to face the screen during certain moments where he should be facing others. The notable ones are in Chapter 1 at the end when he reveals his face. Rather than facing Kris and Susie, whom he's traveled with, he's facing the screen, facing *You* the player. During Chapter 2's "Acid Tunnel of Love" scene when you can tell Ralsei how you/kris feel/s he'll face different ways based on your choice. When you say that you like Ralsei, he again faces the Screen rather than Kris.
Ralsei seems to not only be aware of the Player, but has several instances where he seems to be directly speaking to them without being blatant about it. He also tries to get Kris to stop thinking about Spamton Neo and the unsettling similarity to how We are controlling Kris as our own puppet.
I read this and was like "oh my gosh their right, this is awesome"! Thanks for bringing up these points with Ralsei facing the screen to address the player, and for what he says about Spamton Neo, that's great evidence Unclaimed Username!

Another interesting tidbit is that at the end of chapter 2, Ralsei seems to be aware of saving the game, as he tells Kris/us to do so.
kris themselves being confirmed to have a deep liking of susie just feels so right to me
kris and susie are like my favorite friendship duo
lmao
Kris and susie are relationship goals but in a platonic way.
i like to think kris likes susie because she doesnt really listen to anyone and is a free spirit, quite literally what kris wants to be
susie will indeed become an #4r3-
Wait... Susie says: "Tastes like apple juice" and Ralsei says: "Tastes like blueberries"... Apple juice? Like Kris in light world? And Blue Berries? Like Kris in the Dark world?
That does fit.
@Dariel Rojas That's true! I totally forgot
@Dariel Rojas Kris cross "Apple" sauce
@Dariel Rojas That's...actually kinda scary, considering she is appearently a faceeater according to her dialogue.
i did thought of that too...
I kinda wanna think Ralsei is more than just a possible antagonist. Maybe he is, but not going against Kris and the other's, but against us. He probably knows that if they don't do all those positive things like hugging (even if it's cringey for Kris) the player's other choice is literal genocide and making Kris the worst person possible.
My theory is that Ralsei is trying to make Kris go along with all so they won't suffer. It would explain why in the other route you can't check on what Susie is doing, therefore Ralsei can't have a private conversation with Kris. Because we already took the bad path and Kris is getting more and more aware of our control, we're making them do horrible stuff completely oblivious to how this could affect Kris' mental state. By making Kris gain more and more knowledge we're making them more and more miserable. Ralsei wants Kris to be happy, even if it means he has to hide stuff from Kris so our control ends faster and easier for them.
This makes me see the Snowgrave route in a new light. Throughout Cyber City is one of the few times Ralsei isn't in the party, and it just so happens that this is where the player finally has the option to cause a genocide route. To think, if he were with you, he could tell you not to use IceShock. I can't help but imagine that the entire time he was with Susie, he must've been worried, hoping the player doesn't do anything terrible with Kris while he's away. He usually wants to stay by Kris's side to make sure the player doesn't do anything stupid.
If this theory is correct, then for players like me, players that play the game the best possible way we can think of, that want Kris to be free, that want to find the vessel we created at the start of Chapter 1 so we can use it instead of Kris, Ralsei is actually helping us.
@vibe central Kris's low health for Ralsei tea leads me to believe he's unsettled by the fact that he resembles Asriel, and seeing Ralsei makes Kris uncomfortable because it reminds Kris of how he misses Asriel
Imagine a sans that never had to make a promise, and attempted to take action.
The real mistery is why the addison has the flavors about characters
**_The internet knows everything about you_**

The character needs to be present in order to buy the tea. The addison extracts their flavor on the spot.
You come to the guy and dip yourself into the tea
It's gamer tea
@@jjQlLlLq that sick vegetable gamer bathwater
Another note is that when Kris drinks the Ralsei tea, Ralsei says, "I'm happy!" despite Kris having no reaction to the tea, you'd think somebody like Ralsei would at least be a little bummed out that their friend had such a neutral reaction to them, it almost makes me wonder if he's trying to keep Kris at a safe distance for whatever reason
It feels more like since Ralsei waited his whole life just to meet them that he's kinda lacking in knowledge on emotions so a neutral reaction would please him. Think of it this way, you see no one your whole life in order to wait for a prophecy and have no interactions whatsoever. You'd feel pretty good about a neutral reaction to you, right? At least they don't hate him and that's good enough for someone who literally hasn't interacted with others. Also, he has spent so long on his own that he doesn't understand sarcasm OR what being like himself means. In conclusion, goat boy lonely for so long that neutral is good enough for him.
Also consider: Kris met ralsei yesterday.
It's not that Kris doesn't like ralsei, Kris maybe just doesn't know him that well. Everyone else in our party we are somewhat familiar with as we come from the same town
The dark world is still INCREDIBLY new to Kris. It's like meeting someone the first day of class at a new school. They're friendly and help you get around to your classes but you don't know them well enough to call them a friend
But thats just my interpretation
And they started to make friend with Susie yesterday too, yet their friendship toward her is much stronger. I don't think Kris "hates" Ralsei, but they definitely don't like him as much as the player can make it appear. Kris doesn't like hugs, as stated by Asgore when you see him in Chapter 1, so when you're making them hug Ralsei, it doesn't make them happy, and during the discussion with Susie at the end of chapter 2 regarding the festival, if you chose Ralsei as the person to go with, Susie comments on Kris sounding confuse when saying it, implying again, that it's not really something they want, but that the player is forcing on them.
@@bdletoast09 It is kind of implied in the game that Kris might have been looking or at least thinking of Susie before they even met, which would make their bond much stronger, while on the other hand, as far as Kris is concerned, Ralsei is just a weird goat dude that kind of looks like his brother.
Susie met Ralsei at the exact same time Kris did, yet Susie seems to like Ralsei more than Kris does. I think Susie's presence may discount that idea just a bit.
@@room2144
Or maybe it's because they're different people 💀
@@room2144 Susie likes everyone. All the tea (except her own) heals for 120
The only thing I got from tea flavour texts is that everyone love Susie
I'm less concerned with Kris' reactions and more concerned with Susie's reaction, to be honest.
Notably, her reactions are almost identical for Kris, Ralsei, and, most notably, Noelle. Same healing, she says almost the exact same thing for all three, and she even causes Ralsei to try to get her to drink slower for all three.
This similar reaction implies that she feels the same way about Kris, Ralsei, and Noelle. That last part is potentially bad news for Noelle, because it tells us that Susie most likely does not reciprocate Noelle's feelings.
Also, shame we couldn't get Berdly tea, would be interesting to see how Kris and Noelle would react to that. The existence of Snowgrave implies that we aren't getting playable Berdly any time soon, so we aren't likely to find out.
"Susie most likely doesn't reciprocate Noelle's feelings" I mean, Susie literally just realized people would willingly be her friend like, the day before, its probs just she doesn't feel any romantic feelings for anyone right now cause she doesn't feel like anyone would feel the same, so she's never given herself a chance to have a crush. Heck maybe she does have feelings for Noelle but she just sees it as friendship as that's what Kris has shown her about being friends.
@@marina_ida8172 I'm not saying she couldn't start to reciprocate Noelle's feelings later on, I'm just saying that the evidence tells us that as of right now, Noelle appears to be firmly in the friendzone.
@@Missingno_Miner lol that's fair, but tbh I don't think Noelle ever thought she'd be able to get close to Susie in the slightest, so at least she knows she can get closer to Susie lol.
@@marina_ida8172 Yeah, I do think things are heading in a direction to where Noelle is comfortable simply saying what Rudy said to Mrs. Holiday upon meeting her. At that point, depending on what direction Toby decides to take things, either Susie will reciprocate, ask for time to consider, or awkwardly try to let her down easy.
If we can get Tea for every Teammember regardless of their timeperiod or contribution in there, where is Lancer Tea or Starwalker-tea?
Omg when I saw that the town was named after me, I was like "Hah that's funny!"
I never stopped to think that it meant that Ralsei _knows my name_ ... !!
(Now I'm imagined Ralsei saying something like "Friends! Welcome back to KAINTOWN!" and Susie like "Yeah we're back! ... By the way, who is KAIN?" HAHAHA)
If that turns out to be the case in a later chapter, then Susie would say something like “Can’t believe you have a town named after you, Kris.” if you name yourself ‘Kris’
@@steveishere8808 I think you cant name yourself Kris tho
@@NotASpyReally actually yes you can
Kind depressing when you realize the name the player puts in is also used for the thrown away vessel
@@AndromedaNull No? I mean, they can be the same, but they can be different
I think i can probably guess the reasoning behind Kris and Noelle's reactions to the Ralsei Tea:
1. At the point in the game where you can actually give Noelle the tea, she doesn't know Ralsei, therefore obviously she doesn't see anything in the cup.
2. Kris just met Ralsei a day ago, but has known the other lightners for a while. Also Ralsei looks like their brother (and his name is an anagram of Asriel), who Kris has been living the shadow of for their entire life. AND they met in a dark world contained within a school's supply closet. It's kind of understandable that they wouldn't immediately like him.
I mean, if you saw somebody which reminds you an awful lot of your brother. And having knowledge you AND your new "friend". Wouldn't you also be cautious?
i honestly think kris is just conflicted because he looks like freaking asriel
if YOU went into a closet and mysterious world and found someone who looked a lot like your brother and knew stuff about you, you’d probably be a bit cautious. but also happy
tbh i have a headcanon that ralsei is how kris wishes they were seen by others
which would make it extra weird seeing your ideal self as a separate entity
As someone who deals with 2 siblings, seeing a clone of one of them would not satisfy me in the slightest, it would feel like theyre trying to replace them and thats something i wouldnt be into at all
So i guess i kinda prefer the theory that kris wants to like asriel and thats what ralsei is (even if its still really fricking weird)
the 3RD sentence makes sense and it scares me
i think asriel and ralsei looks so different when u ocmpare them noelle doesnt seem conflicted
and i do believe ralsei has some meta awareness but like nothing to cause harm with. probably does know about the soul, probably is telling kris to just play along for now as its needed to seal fountains, dunno.
also headband theoryyy
Yeah I've been thinking maybe ralesi is like, kris's monstersona or smth personified, what with maybe being kris's old pair of horns and all
I think that Ralsei is going to turn out to be a Anthy Himemiya type figure: an unassuming seemingly passive observer who turns out to be in league with the antagonist, but not out of their free will. The concept of free will is already emphasized in the game with Kris and the player but i think that it also applies to Ralsei as well, just being the designated sidekick character who gives exposition and having some meta awareness, but not having any power or control over it.
Revolutionary Girl Utena reference!
It wouldn't be the first time Toby references "flowery swordswomen" in this franchise.
Ralsei having meta knowledge makes sense since Sans seems to have it too and Ralsei is some form of Asriel.
My theory about why Noelle can't drink Ralsei's tea while Kris and Susie can is that Noelle isn't really "into" this world, if that makes sense? I think the dark world is at least to some extent a fantasy created by Kris who was lonely and maybe even depressed after Asriel left. Susie was just as lonely with no friends and presumably a broken home so they escaped into this world together and it became their thing. Noelle has her own problems with her family but she doesn't seem to need this like Kris and Susie do. She thinks it was a dream and the Darkners are just fantasies to her, Kris and Susie are the only "real" people she knows (although I'm pretty sure at one point she makes a side comment about Ralsei looking like Asriel) so they're the only ones whose tea she can drink.
I think this also somehow circles back to Don't Forget, assuming it's Asriel/Ralsei addressing Kris.
"When the light is running low
And the shadows start to grow
And the places that you know
Seem like fantasy"
This is probably referencing Kris becoming lonely and depressed after Asriel left and creating fantasy worlds as a coping mechanism
"There's a light inside your soul
That's still shining in the cold
With the truth"
In this context the "light that's still shining with the truth" could mean Kris' free will and their true self still being in there while their soul is being controlled by "the cold", aka the player.
"The promise in our hearts
Don't forget
I'm with you in the dark"
This could mean a promise Asriel made to Kris to be there for them and now he's literally with Kris in the dark as Ralsei, probably as Kris' manifestation of that promise since the real Asriel isn't there for them anymore. Maybe in a way Kris is trying to "guide" the player through Ralsei to prevent them from killing enemies which would explain why Ralsei insists that we should go by without killing or we "might not find the results favorable"
Another thing is that Lancer and Rouxls both turned to stone in the cyber world because they don't belong there while Ralsei was perfectly fine. I don't think it's because Ralsei is some sort of evil overlord but because they're most likely based on things Kris and Asriel used to do together, like playing cards and board games in the supply closet and browsing the Internet at the library. It looks like the third chapter will be TV based which they probably watched a lot together but Kris apparently hasn't touched the TV since Asriel went away. "The places that you know seem like fantasy"
Just my thoughts, I don't know if any of this makes sense
It depends on metasubcontext
The last section about how it might be based on things Kris and Asriel used to do together actually kinda makes sense ngl.
A lot of stuff throughout chapter 2 makes me doubt that it's just some pretend world.
I once read a theory on why Lancer and Rouxls turn to stone in the cyber world but Ralsei doesn't. Roughly summarized because I have a deep fried brain, Lancer and Rouxls are cards and cards within a computer lab look oddly placed. They turn to stone because they aren't supposed to be there. Ralsei is a prince from a storage closet and anything can be found inside a storage closet.
Conclusion, Ralsei is too powerful to be stoned.
Theory: Ralsei is telling kris what he imagines Susie is doing and it’s just that Kris doesn’t know Ralsei other than that they are a pacifist. For all kris knows, Ralsei could be a 60 year old who smokes 50 cigarettes a day and just looks and sounds like a teenager.
Agree
ralsei smokes 50 blunts a day
Blunt
I don't think it's physically possible to smoke 50 daily blunts and sound like anything less than a rusty robot.
ralsei does smoke about 70kg of pure weed per second so you might be right there
Susie is used to Kris wearing green = apple
Ralsei only knows Kris in the dark world = blueberry
Noelle is an old friend = cinnamon
The other two are more shallow? Based on Kris' color scheme, while Noelle knows about the pie, something that cannot be seen on the surface.
Also, Susie says that Kris' hair smells like apples

Ah, the tea theory, aka the nice detail that some people had took a bit too far just to say Kris hate Ralsei. ^^;
When in reality they are neutral about him at best.
As for Susie some people are confused about why Kris seems to like her more since we saw her pretty much bully Kris the first chapter.
And I think is because Kris liked her from the start, also might feel more close to her since because they are similar, both seen as creepy, having issues socializing, problems with parental figures (?)*, Ect.
*We don't know how's life inside of Susie home as for yet, but I think the fact she didn't called home and seems to be outside most of the time might means that she might be mistreated by her parents.
Something to remember is that we and Kris may actually have the exact same experience with her. Her dialogue in Chapter1 heavily implies that she barely interacted with them before.
@@lpfan4491 Yeah, they likely never interacted until that moment, but I think Kris liked her anyway even if they never interacted.
Maybe they got interested in her or something, but either them having trouble socializing or because of the soul, they never could try engaging in a conversation with her.
@@janiradariasmorales7918 I meant it moreso as people overblowing the negative experience Kris had with her when the only diffrence here is that we didn't get physical feedback and Kris did.
@@lpfan4491 Oh, I understand now.
Yeah people tend to overblow stuff like this.
And I think I recall a few people saying that they prefer Susie being a bully or that she "changed" too fast.
I feel they ignore the whole deal with her acting like this in the first place.
I feel like Susie is homeless and her parents work overtime to make ends meet so thats why she doesnt like mentioning them
I just love how Susie is the one true protagonist with the biggest character arc, starting off as a recluse and a 'bully' and ending up with loads of friends.
[I think the ending might be The Player vs. Susie...]

@@thej3780 she has a harem lol. I wonder why "harem" is given that definition. I'll have to investigate
I have a theory about the prophecy and I would love you to make a video about it if you think it makes sense and has points that I missed/debunk it.
So at the very beginning, the vessel creation, I remember hearing about a "connection", I assume it refers to our connection with the DR world (even if not, I do think the theory is still valid)
The prophecy states that "banishing the angel's heaven" is the end goal of the trio
Noelle is being referred as an "angel" and she hears your voice and obeys your command in the snowgrave route
Just like how an angel obeys God.
The player can erase entire timelines with the press of a few buttons, can't actually die for good and technically has the entire universe in whatever device they are playing on. The player is likely the God.
Spamton in his NEO form in pacifist talks about a "heaven" ("heaven, are you watching? It's time to make a very [specil] deal")
They want to take the soul of a player to become a player themselves to escape their fate as a puppet
Their knowledge comes from the man (implied to be Gaster?) so he plays a role in this too.
But...
The trio's goal is to "banish" you, severing your connection to this world.
So you are the final boss in both routes and the true antagonist
Unrelated note, the name "Asriel" is similar to "Azrael", the angel of death.
Also, (this is a bit of a stretch) the prophecy states that the trio consists of "a human, a monster and a Prince of the dark" and Asriel is at the very least aware of dark worlds (he has a room in queen's mansion) so the real trio might actually be vessel, Noelle and Asriel (also the snowgrave final fight could be that trio battling against the original trio, would be a very climactic battle)
If you do make this into a video please do credit me, thanks.
I really like your theory! It would be interesting if the true trio was the Vessel, Noelle, and Asriel! I heard something about the trio being different than what we think on reddit I believe as well. As for the Player being God that seems to make sense, and tying it to the Angel's Heaven with the one they're banishing being you the Player sounds great! Before I wasn't too sure on who they could be banishing, but it possibly being the Player would be a twist, and makes sense after Snowgrave! I'll be sure to cite you if I end up using this information/thoughts for a theory Yitu TG !
Hey did you know Lancer is also a prince from the dark.
@@pablopereyra7126 I don't think so, he is referred to as a jack, as in the J card in poker
I think a key part in it is if the vessel would even count as a human for the sake of this. Because even tho it was designed after humans(some headcanon the fallen humans from Undertale), it's not and never was. It was created as a kind of interdimensional ghost.
Now, of course one could have an argument about if becoming a spirit would overwrite the previous species-identifier of a person, but there is nothing there as it was created as such.
@@lpfan4491 it takes sense when you take in consideration that making the player a god would also made toby fox a god, the one who created everything, so there will be no difference between the vessel and the other humans

Bruh moment
Ralsei ain't evil
Dang it's just a theory chill 😂
Yeah, ralsei knows that we can delete the universe by uninstalling the game
7:59 I think this point gets a little more interesting because of Ralsei’s behavior in the Snowgrave route. As soon as he gets the chance he tries to do the whole “let’s imagine” thing, which doesn’t work. It seems to me like he’s frantically trying to get rid of the player so he can talk to Kris, because he knows something is very, very wrong. He even slips in that bit about the Roaring early to skip through the Queen battle, meaning he’s trying to move everyone along before we, the player, can do any more damage. There are a lot of details like this throughout both chapters that hint toward Ralsei hiding things from either the player, Kris, or both. Small things like the doors we can’t go through in the dark world, bits of knowledge he hasn’t told us, etc. And how’d he transport himself from Castle Town to Cyber World. As a Darkner he can’t move between the dark and light worlds, because he exists as an inanimate object in the light world. Can he move directly between dark worlds? That has some implications and raises more questions. Plus, it’s a bit of an odd detail to leave out. Most likely, the main dark world is connected to the other dark worlds through that huge door. That would explain how we moved from the main dark world to the dark world in the unused classroom without knowing it. And if the classroom dark world doesn’t exist anymore, what’s behind that door? And then there’s the implications that these dark worlds, or at least their inhabitants, existed before the fountains. There is a lot of mystery surrounding the Dark Worlds and their lore. Even what we think we know just raises more questions. Ralsei seems to be the key to this. He is certainly a lot more complicated than he seems. Wherever Toby takes this promises to be quite interesting. (And no, I don’t think he’s some twist villain. No way it’s that simple)
Also, Ralsei isn’t the only one who is at least somewhat aware of the player. Noel hints at Kris’s voice not really being his at a few points. Then there’s that bit of dialogue in the long puzzle room-“Kris is the only one who knows how weird I am. It’s not fair, you know? Everyone knows how weird *you* are.” She can’t be addressing Kris here, because she references him in the third person. Plus, the parenthesis and how she is talking seems to suggest she is not talking directly to another character. “You” can’t be herself, either, because that would create two contradictory statements, which is why these two lines confused me at first. Plus, it’d be weird to shift from talking to herself as “I” to “you” in that situation. The “you” she addresses here is probably the player.

i hope deltarune slowly becomes a psychological horror
Spamton was introduced in chapter 2 and he made the most realise that this game is becoming depressing in it's own way. I personally think the whole deltarune will be about kris trying to get rid of us, so yeah psychological horror genre really fits in there.
to be fair kris has known (or at least known OF) all the other people for at least a while before the game starts, and just meeting a prince from another world that looks exactly like your brother is a little weird for him. keep in mind, he has only known Ralsei for like a day and a half when they would get tea.
I really liked this theory. I always felt a bigger connection to ralsei than the rest of the deltarune cast. I even reloaded the part where he ask us if we wanna know about what's happening to suzie/noelle. I said I didn't care (although I did want to see it), but he almost forced us to watch it. Almost as if he's scared of us not being "invested enough in the game" breaking the illusion.
Ralsei feels like he's playing a role and is trying super hard to be our "best friend".
Wich I totally accept honestly, I love my fluffy "totally-not-Asriel" boi ;3
Before starting the video, I'll say this:
Combined with all the suspicious stuff surrounding Ralsei, his tea being empty leads me to believe that he's the Deltarune equivalent to Flowey.
Main difference being that Flowey showed his true colors immediately, while Ralsei seems to be keeping the secret up for a lot longer.
I thought the tea being empty for Noelle is representing that he's a perfect stranger to her. They have no dialog between them aside from her asking to help with the mouse bucket.
@Annistar so Kirby v2
Susie probably thinks Kris Tea tastes like apple juice because of the apple shampoo in the shower. Kris smells like apples because of it
And Susie sniffs hair for some reason
That is such a good point! And probably the true reason why. Thank you ShadowGolem86!
I feel like this can be used in future chapters to measure relationships between characters in the future. Could be interesting if there is an enemy that works like a doppelganger, replacing a teammate, and you could instantly reveal it by giving them a character tea.
7:17 At least you are trying and I can't tell you how much I apriciate that.

Meta moment; can’t forget how you can get Noelle to drink Susie’s tea and heal her some hefty 400 hp
Well since if kris drinks noelle tea he gets 70 hp and if kris drinks ralsei tea it’s 60 hp, it’s very good for someone who met somebody a day ago (3 years ago for us) and even better since kris is a shy kid.
Kris being "a weirdo" and shy, as you say, seems pretty fitting to enjoy being around susie (since at the end of chapter one, he gets to see that susie see him as a friend as she protects him of the king, and also he sees firsthand the evolution of susie all around the first adventure to the dark world.)
We also that ralsei knows the players presence by telling us to press the X key to run in the tutorial stage
We all must help the algorithm!

i think that everyone else just get the impresion of rasiel while kris has the jealousy he has to arsiel, because rasiel is the past version of asriel being a cute crybaby who doesnt want to fight while arsiel now is more grown up more like an adult, and kris dislikes loseing the cute young version of arsiel kris recreates him as rasiel.
My theory: Ralsei wasn't supposed to join you in the Cyber World.
-He appears seemingly out of nowhere, without you bringing him over
-He doesn't have a cage or a room in the mansion
-Ralsei and Noelle have the same party role and healing and pacifying moves
I think in the "original version" of the story, Ralsei was supposed to stay in your town after chapter 1, and Noelle would have been the party's healer for all of chapter 2. I don't know what the "original version" would have looked like, or how Ralsei could have changed things, but it definitely feels like Ralsei is... trying to stay in the story and stay close to Kris?
It's also possible that the prophecy's "Prince from the Darkness" was meant to be Lancer, and not Ralsei, given that Lancer is definitely the prince of a kingdom/card set and Ralsei has only referred to himself as a prince without much evidence.
Lancer is prince of spades while ralsei is prince of darkness
Accurate
In my playthrough, Susie got chalk from Noelle even though I never had Kris tell Noelle that she eats chalk. I'm not sure what's up with that...
You told noelle in chapter 1
@@fandubindo1891 I didn't. I told Noelle Susie's nice. I've heard the same thing happen to others as well.
It happens if you talk to noelle about susie in general, I said she was nice and still got chalk
Maybe she knows because of Alphys...? After all, Toriel says that Alphys told her a lot about Susie and when she leaves to wash her hands Toriel asks Kris to leave the chalk alone. So, maybe Alphys knows that Susie was stealing the chalk, encountered Noelle after we talked to her, they talked a little bit and on the topic of the chalk Alphys lets out that Susie has been eating it this whole time. Then, Noelle has the idea to give her a box full of chalk and so. I don't know how it would play out if you don't talk to her. Maybe Noelle never encounters Alphys or maybe they don't talk much above a "hi". Maybe the topic of the chalk is never given for any reason, I don't know
I just wanna point out that Noelle does in fact give Susie the box of chalk regardless if you talk to Noelle in chapter one
thats not true
Not true, you have to talk to Noelle in order to get that little extra flavour text. She does NOT give you the box if you never went up to her house to talk to her. I don't even know if you've played the game but your knowledge is incorrect.
I just realised! When you start the game and complete the lil' questionare, it asks what your favourite type of food is, so say you entered spicy for example. what it be such a stretch of the imagination to believe that Noelle tastes cinammon and a strangely spicy aftertaste
That would be such an incredible touch of detail!
I'm pretty sure the option wasn't "spicy," it was just _pain._ Though, I guess that's kind of the same thing...
i made my name W when playing deltarune because I though it was a joke...
WELCOME TO W TOWN!!!
Plot twist: Ralsei is Kris' remaining point of view to Asriel after these years.
OKAY TOBEY MADE IT CANON THAT NOELLE IS *LITERALLY* THIRSTY FOR SUSIE
AND TOWARDS EVERYONE ELSE OMFGIASFELFEBREHBER
I mean, when pairing this theory with that other one about Ralsei being a piece of Kris's imagination (how his horns may be those that Kris wore as a child). I strongly believe that the reason why Noelle doesn't see Ralsei is... i'm not sure but i feel like i'm onto something.
I just feel like there's something there aside from "Noelle hasn't met Ralsei", there's something about these two that i want to put together. I also find it interesting how Ralsei reacts to Noelle's weapons, if you show him the SnowRing he answers cheerfully as always. But if you show him the ThornRing he just says "...", this is really weird considering how he reacts to everything else that is prickly in a happy way.
Thanks for reading this far, if anyone sees this, please say hi.
hi
Actually, I was quite excited that Noelle's tea only heals Kris for 70HP. Noelle is probably the only kid, besides Asriel, to be kind to Kris for a long time. The time Kris hangs out with Noelle is also much longer than Susie and Noelle, so I originally think that Noelle's tea should heal Kris more than it heals Susie
Strong Tea Theory I’ve noticed too from that chapter.
But I never thought that during Ralsei telling the player to imagine Susie to control her character. That Ralsei is talking to the Character Kris off screen and that the town is named after the name the player input
🤔🧐👍
pretty cool vid, commenting to help the algorithm
"Noelle is actually tasting the additional flavor of the player"
tea-pose
2:37 could also be snails, we know toriel..
"Tea!!,have a cup of tea!!"- some insane creatures
I feel like we're ignoring the much bigger issue of Ralsei's tea just straight up disappearing for Noelle. That's a little more concerning to me then "Kris doesn't like Ralsei's tea 😱" like bro at least Kris can DRINK Rasei's tea
Pro tip: do NOT, I repeat, do NOT EVER under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES watch this video
immediately after watching Tea and Consent
Your vids are very underrated
Imagine if the teas for you and your real life friends were real and when you drank your crush’s tea it healed ♾ hp.
I choose to believe that kris does feel strongly about ralsie but is trying to hide it harder than he's trying to hid their feelings about the others cuz my weak little heart cannot handle the idea that kris doesn't like spending time with ralsie
Of course deltarune will have the same ending aside from slight variation but maybe there's a certain style of neutral where the player can make the choices that kris is msot likely to make?
Deltarune will have the same ending, as it seems: kris getting rid of the player. However the settings of the ending will be most likely different according to the snowgrave. For example, kris is free, but noelle is having a trauma about our manipulation and berdly is dead.
Alright the castle rename thing is pretty telling!!!
noelle says kris tea tastes like cinnamon, alongside a strange aftertaste. cinnamon is often used to hide cyanide, which tastes like almonds, which has some pretty cool implications
underrated
Also fun fact that I haven't seen pointed out any where. In chapter at the very first save point if you look closely the name on the file is "Kris" but when you save it changes to the player name
What A Deep Tea-ory
If you take note, kris is only character who has only one tea with 120 (this being susie tea), wich with even his neighbor and friend noelle doesn't have. This means that Kris could have problems reaching out to people and making friends, and he gets to enjoy Susie company because he sees they are somewhat similar, oh, and also, she is really cool, how could you not like her?
But hey, that's just a theory.
Neat video! Thanks for uploading!
Thank you sagacious03, that means a lot!
Very.
Very.
Interesting.
Noelle and Kris have a history, to say Ralsei should be more important to Kris is arguable
Maybe ralsei's tea doesn't heal kris so much because the player should be thinking that ralsei is sus, and he is actually protecting kris, and the player would probably not like that, reducing the tea healings
Saratown? Serotonin
I apologize in advance but I had to say this.
And that’s the tea.
Ok so, how i see things now... Ralsei could be the plot twist everyone is expecting but, he will forgive us or kill us (maybe) depending on how "good" we were... It's not specified that deltarune won't have alternative endings.
There are many routes to that same ending
@@sahilhossian8212 yeah but that same ending varies for example in chapter 1 if you spare everyone, darkners "help you" with the king but if you harm everyone susie uses the pacifying spell in the king instead.
About the Noelles reaction to Ralsies tea, as she finds it empty I've got to a weird idea. It looks like almosy no one in Cyber World can actually remember Ralsei no matter how much they see him. Excluding Butlers. And combining with the fact no one knows how he go to the Cyber World... something is there
well to be fair the dark world of chapter 2 is set in a cyberworld/internet and because he is ralsei he is a Princess of darkness and has no connection to the internet through the dark world no one knows about him there.
Ngl when I saw CHARAtown (yes, because I put the name chara) I almost had a heart attack
wait im probably just dumb but i just noticed now that it was mentioned
ralsei only knows susie and kris for like a day, he is happy of finally having friends(which is why he gets 120 hp with both character teas) but doesnt know them deeply which is why the flavors are derived from their main colors rather than anything else, he only knows a tiny bit about noelle so he doesnt get as much hp and the tea flavor is more vague
susie is hyped af at finally having friends and being able to go on cool adventures with them so of course she gets 120hp with every tea, kris is apple juice because kris uses apple scented shampoo(theres apple scented shampoo in their bathroom and susie even mentions it once iirc) and since susie sits behind kris in school but has just begun to know them thats the smell/flavor she first would correlate to kris, ralsei is marshmallows because he is sweet and his fur is white(and maybe because of the flavor of dark candy too?), and noelle is eggnog because her whole family's theme is about the holidays(and maybe its related to that time noelle gave susie a candy cane pencil at school furter cementing that as related to her) so all of the flavors she drinks are derived from stuff she has experienced about the character
noelle has a crush on susie so of course she gets a ton of hp, she doesnt know ralsei so the cup looks empty, but kris tea heals her 70hp and tastes like cinnamon with an aftertaste, the 70hp is because they knew each other(they used to be friends) but that relationship was either broken or slowly left behind so its more than not knowing like ralsei but less than strong friendship like the other charaters), and the flavor is based on her old memories about them, the aftertaste is either the soul or the bitersweetnes of that happy past left behind, so all the flavors she feels are related to the relationships she has with the characters
kris is happy about finally having a friend(since it seems theyre usually alone with his childhood friendships fading and his brother going to college) so susie tea gets 120hp, kris staring is probably them just trying to freak her out because theyre a known prankster who has made noelle cry by scaring her, noelle tea is 70hp because of the strained friendship and ralsei is only 60hp, kris is harder to figure out than others because there is no reaction and no telling about the flavor, but I think the flavors for kris are actually based on his feelings towards the characters, ralsei tea could be the lowest because he reminds them of their brother who everyone loves and always talks about like a perfect child, that paired with the fact ralsei is pretty much someone who is always about doing the right thing(like an idolized version of asriel) is something that might create resentment, or the fact that kris used to want to fit in by being a goat monster too and ralsei reminds them of that dream, or maybe they just don't trust ralsei after knowing him for like a day, that paired with the player seemingly loving him just makes them even less inclined to liking him (i just noticed kris tends to have a bit more reactions and personality when susie is around)
And thats a theory A TEA THEORY
So it’s like Wayside School’s person flavored ice cream.
Ralsei is just Flowey, but not evil.
people who think kris doesn't like ralsei when his tea recovers more health for them than noelle, who ralsei is literally a stranger to
I think Kris likes Ralsei but not as much as the player may think, just sorta neutral/a decent friend; for Noelle, it seems to be that they like her as a friend, and were good friends before, but have become estranged after some event between their families. For Susie, perhaps Kris finds her to be very relatable.
I like how none of them are egotistical and only get 10 hp from drinking there own tea
Ralsei looking mad sus right now
I think the castle town name might be more for the sake of it being a hub world for the game and it just being named that because that’s what the profile is named
When Noelle drinks Ralsei's Tea she says: "There's nothing in here," probably hints that Ralsei doesn't feel anything about Noelle.
They never have one on one dialogue with each other, they never even talk to each other during chapter 2. Notice how literally other branches of dialogue when having others tea for each character, Noelle drinking the Ralsei tea is the only one that doesn't really want anything inside the cup. They don't have any chemistry with each other and never even talk about each other other than Noelle mentioning Ralsei looks familiar.
plot twist: ralsei is telling kris what happens in the next chapters so they know what to do
Well, Ralsei is clearly a representation of the younger version of Asriel so I think that's why he's represented as an odd character because he's not real anymore.
ok, this is cool and all, but hearts donut and choco-diamond theory when?
I look into those! Thanks for letting me know I am oof boi!
Kris looking slobbery he likes tea
the grape juice from susie tea could also be saying that she has a sour personality
