I put a thin cloth over the drip line to filter even better and cut it up for the smoker when "the big junk" finally clogs it up in a dozen or so meltings.
Thanks for sharing…I’m about different ways than most and this/or something like it is my thing…I’m tornif this or a fish tank 🐝ing a brood chamber as ideal for me…I hope to do the tank on my TH-cam channel!!! Its too complicated to explain the Tank plans….better to keep an eye on my channel!!
Actually to 🐝 honest I expect to fail at bees and fail & give up…& learn that I need to fill more basic needs like take better care of me..although I expect someone else can do the fish tank idea much better than I ever can/could.

I see in another comment, you are correct...the paper towel laid down can be used as a final/fine filter, and then sold as a fire-starter assist packets (NOTHING goes to waste!)

Betterbee sells a huge one all stainless that can even hold a bunch of whole frames all at once inside.

Love mine,but roll some paper towels down on the bottom and up the metal filter and makes it perfectly filtered
