Bought the Glock 43x MOS and picked up a RMSc Glass 4 MOA. This was a college graduation gift for my son. Properly mounted it using locktite on the screws and it looked great. My son took it out to shoot it the first three rounds hit a 8" steel plate at 15 yds. Then it would not hit anything. The dot "bloomed", getting so large it took up half of the window and you had to depress the muzzle towards the ground to even see the massive dot. Removed the sight and the dot was still huge. Returned it to shield on June 11th, 2024. Just got a notification today (July 13th) that it is being returned to me. While it was getting fixed I went out and bought another identical RMSc. Exact same problem. I can understand one lemon in the bunch, but two with the same problem? I am finally sending the second one back on Monday. I hope they fixed the problem because it seems like the perfect CCW sight for a compact pistol.
Bought the same G43X w/RMSc…added S15 3rd gen mags and mag release… and the plus 3 extensions from the Glock Store. Plus a threaded precision tactical barrel. So now I have 18+1 on hand at all times on my EDC. All in a smaller easy to use and conceal
any feed issues at all with the S15 mags? My local range master is suggesting to 'not' use them... he's against anything aftermarket 'in' the gun. Outside bolt-on stuff like optics, lights etc no problem.
I purchased the Shield RMSc 4MOA....easy install, love the optic on my 43XMOS. The co witness is a plus. Shield also provides a rubberized cover for the optic. Great package all the way around.
I got the exact same set up. Came that way from Glock. It's a solid little optic , I just wish I could override the auto brightness , so I can turn it up at times , but it's a decent optic..... My astigmatism doesn't let me see a crisp dot , but I have the same problem with the RMR. So that's just me ....
@shaunmccreedy6121 holosun 407k or 507k. Basically, it's the same optic, but 507k has different retical settings to choose from, and is slightly more expensive.
Considering this very combo from Palmetto. Question > > > being the sight come mounted is it a good idea to remove and loctite the screws or just take for granted that has been already done.
I want to co-witness if my red dots fails. The Glock store charges $100,00 to cut off those nubs so the Holosun will mount. They make an adapter plate but then you can’t co-witness your iron sights. I don’t like the shield because of the auto dim bummer. I want the 43x mos but now I’m leaning toward the 19 compact it’s just about a half inch longer
Cyelee Cat-series will direct mount without a plate and co-witnesses the factory sights. I have the Cat X Pro but it’s a battery hog. I’m on my third CR1632 since March Also if you want a half inch longer 43X check out the 48: 4.1” barrel in the same slimline X-frame
I don’t care for the RMSc’s battery compartment underneath the sight. I got the Cyelee Cat X Pro (which is basically a HS507K clone) which uses the RMSc footprint. Got a battery drawer and I don’t need to re-zero my dot after the included Chinesium battery died after three months. Put a fresh Energizer lithium and it’s been good since 👍
@rce4726 The RMSc is the ORIGINAL compact mini sight for slimline pistols. So popular, that gun companies have built guns around it. The latest to the arsenal is the Glock43x and G48. Proprietary may have been the wrong word. Just ment that the 43x mos uses it for direct mount. Thanks for the feedback.

@bennwj man sorry your having issues. TBH I ended up selling it. I didn't really like the controls. Good luck.

Sounds like the perfect EDC. 👌 I also use the Shield arms mags. More is always better.

For what it is I do like it. Not a big fan of the controls, but the auto brightness dose a good job. Enjoy.
Thanks for viewing everyone. Hope this video helps. Shoot on.....

Same about the auto brightness. Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks for the review champ. would you buy it again?
@MyRealEstateDOJO TBH, probably not. There are better options out there.
Which are the better options?
@shaunmccreedy6121 holosun 407k or 507k. Basically, it's the same optic, but 507k has different retical settings to choose from, and is slightly more expensive.
@@FireBoxCampaign Do you real think Holsun is better "child RMSc min'?
@@MyRealEstateDOJO having used both, yes.
Considering this very combo from Palmetto.
Question > > > being the sight come mounted is it a good idea to remove and loctite the screws or just take for granted that has been already done.
You make a good point. The optic has not come loose, but, Mmmm, I might want to check anyway.
Yes you should mine came loose after a few hundred rounds 😊
Nice detailed video keep up the good content
Just an FYI, mounted a Holosun 407K and a Sig Romeo Zero Elite on my 43x without a plate.
really, it was my understanding to 43x MOS rear post would not support the holosun, I will have to investigate.
Nice
Thank you sir.

@@-1Patroit. check out my xmacro video. I personally think it's a better option. Thanks.

oh, I have a RMSC footprint red dot, ohhunt RD U1. but need to add a adapter to mounting glock 43X MOS.
Im not sure what that is? Rd u1?
@@FireBoxCampaign yes ohhunt RD U1.
Very informative!! Thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!

@garrettlundy3959 I have a cyelee optic the ghost. It's still in the box lol. I ended up selling the RMSc for that reason.
I think they sell a shroud that goes around it for extra protection
I know sig romeo has one too, I have that on my p365xl.
Over Priced Red Dot.....
Compared to what. I've seen them as low as 200.
@@FireBoxCampaign
They are $ 400.00
On there website
Rmsc proprietary to GLOCK and shield? LMAO. Please check facts before you speak about a topic you're not sure about.
