The brutal truth is that most men do not get compliments. Many men would consider it a good day if you don't get insulted or dirty looks. And yes, we do sometimes remember that one small compliment we got years ago. Sad, but a sad reality.

Men do get insulted and mistreated more than women do especially in public, Women are also more loved by people more than men are, and most people look at men as creeps and it makes us feel bad about ourselves a lot, but all we need is one compliment from a random stranger and that will keep us going for another 5 years, it doesn’t even have to be anything to crazy just say “I like your shirt” and that’s enough for us men.

In high school there was an assignment to compliment a classmate. They were assigned a person... they literally had to compliment me. I still remember it 25 years later. It was the last time I've heard one from someone not related to me.

As far as the compliment thing, if we get one, most men will remember years after the fact. It was a moment where we felt like we were being acknowledged and appreciated for something… anything. Outside of a family member, it is quite a rare occasion for most of us. Some of us have learned to simply say: “It is what it is” and keep things moving.

The worst part about the lack of compliments is after many years of not receiving them, we often don't believe one when we do actually get one. It can get to a point where a compliment will make us feel worse because we have developed a lack of self-love and believe that the person providing the compliment must be either making fun of us, doing it because they think it's what they should do and it's not genuine, or doing it out of pity.

About the compliment thing - I used to be very proud of my legs - they were always muscular, and toned. One day, I was watching videos on youtube talking about guys receiving compliments, and I remembered something that happened to me in 5th grade - there was a girl that I spent a lot of time with, my family even called her my 1st girlfriend. We were in the class together, and I thought I would try flirting with her, and I told her he had nice legs. She said 'thanks' and walked away, chuckling with a friend about it. Later that same day, she said the same thing to me. I honestly felt complimented about it.
I only realized recently that she was mocking me 'catcalling' her, in an attempt to teach me not to do that. It literally broke me when I realized it, and that the only thing I really had any pride in myself over was an attempted lesson on 'catcalling' that went completely over my head. Almost 30 years of living a lie. Now, I can't even process a 'compliment'.

Eh, it is what it is. Complements are rare, insults are the norm.
Just look at the huge reduction in marriage among men, we are leaving it in a mass exodus cause we get nothing out of it but simply used and abused.
As for myself I don't think I've ever been complimented outside of family.

My entire life i was insulted like this from any type of people, kids, teens, adults, and so on (most of the m were girls/women). Now i have no confidence and i'm afraid of social contact and i enforce to not believe what these people say. Once i did a favor to a girl with whom i worked together, she was so happy and hugged me, i was just about to cry. I would give everything i have (except for my computer, Tolkien books and my organs) to experience this once again.

  • @theoutcastplays6635

0:57 As a guy, I don't get compliments unless its from a family member or close relative which lets be honest, doesn't hit as hard as a random stranger with a genuine heartfelt compliment or someone i'd want to hear compliments from. Because of this there are plenty of days where i've felt like I'm living in a world where I'm invisible to the opposite gender and even had moments where I'll text other people just to get a response because it's triggered my phobia, Athazagoraphobia. Stuff like this is also why I chose a gamertag of theoutcast way back in my highschool days. I'm in my 40s now and I have to say, it doesn't get any different or easier when everyone has their own families and lives, it actually gets worse. Double that if we aren't a social extrovert, or someone that gets attention because of our physical appearance too.
2:14 Some dudes will just give up everything and go outta their way to help a gamer girl if they hear a female voice. It's bad, very bad, cause no one ever gets better playing games that way and dudes just simp hard thinking that will get them somewhere.
2:52 When we are vibing to a bunch of songs and that one song comes on that we didn't even ask for. Like go away song, skip it, don't wanna hear it and it's annoying.
3:40 if we don't get proper blankets or a place to sleep, we will literally cover ourselves with anything we find. Won't even ask for something if it's available cause too tired or something.
3:50 Can't relate. The beaches here don't have sand, they have gravel like rocks or patches of grass. Also at some point, you just don't lay on your front because you don't hide it by burrying it in the sand lol
4:38 uhm.. hes just over thinking it, like hard. It says salt, salt goes in it, It says pepper, pepper goes in it. DONT EVEN CARE if it's wrong. Cause I'll know which ones which.
6:01 This is why its very important to wear underwear. It keeps things from sticking. I highly suggest SAXX or B3NTH undies for this.
6:31 No matter what, its gonna go everywhere. Getting a perfect stream is not always possible and the last drops always happen.
7:05 Readjusting is a thing, if you're not wearing the right clothing, too tight of pants or just simply didn't put on underwear. Again, get yourself some SAXX or B3NTH, keeps your junk in place and zero sticking.
7:28 this dude covers alot, so here it goes. The shower thing, have done it but don't anymore. Rom coms, nope, movies or tvshows that allow us to feel emotions or some sort of way, yes to watching them alone, its the only time we can express ourselves or work thru issues we have with out being judged for it. Morning wood, leaning tower of piza, yes thats a thing, angles that's all I gotta say about that. Deodorant and especially anti perspirant are terrible products for anyones armpits, I stopped using along time ago but then again I prefer showers, body washes and things that just smell good. As for peeing in a bottle, you have to becareful about which bottle sizes you choose, cause you never know how much you'll have to go. Also if you're peeing in a bottle because you can't find a restroom or bush, then you're ok, but if you're doing it cause you're too lazy to get up... you deserve a swift boot to the ass. I'd better not find a pee bottle, poop sock or cumsock in your bedroom of all places!!

Another thing I want to throw out there (not related to this video at all) is that I had a dream last night where you were in a Sidemen Sunday. Their smell leaves a few days later and left is only the memory of the fact I got flowers.

@@hheerrooiixx I of course see and share your point, but I personally feel no need to receive flowers at all. Even at my funeral. Some information for anyone interested:
The urethra has a low point that doesn't empty correctly if standing up straight while peeing.
Sitting down and leaning forwards are the best way to empty the system completely.
I prefer to sit as it feels more drained than doing it standing up.
To get a similar effect standing up, you need to stand close to the bowl and lean with perhaps a hand supporting you from the wall behind the toilet.
If you've felt moisture and/or noticed staining of the underwear, you haven't drained your system good enough.
Repetitive full draining and other natural pleasurable prostate "exercises" are positive for prostate health.
Careful touching also, but with proper guidance and research beforehand!

When it comes to peeing standing up, it's much more satisfying and leaves a man with a sense of an emptier bladder. So...no, I think most men do not sit down if we can avoid it. Plus it's target practice.

    • @JohanHaagg
      @JohanHaagg 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

True, but more guys should sit down, specielly if you are 30+ years old. Sitting down more or less completlemy empties the bladder, while standing up dont. Which creates a pressure on the prostate, which in turn can cause a lot of issues. Even can increase the risk of prostate cancer.
