Saw Jeff Healey at Alpine Valley, great great show. Stevie Ray was standing on his tip toes behind the amps staring in awe while Jeff played his set. SRV came on afterwards and tore the rest place apart as usual. This next year at Alpine Stevie left us, Jeff is gone now too. Thank God there's players like the great Phil Sayce.

I was there as well, ...... Jeff was awesome as the show opener and killed it as always, then little feat just killed it, a LOT of people on stage putting out a massive wall of sound, ..... I honestly was worried how Stevie Ray was going to be able to match such a huge sound put out by little feat, but then he came on opening with House is a rockin ...... and it was like nothing I've ever seen. I knew at that moment I was witnessing one of those transcendent moments in music, I imagine what it was like to see Hendrix walk on stage...... Stevie had the "magic" .... not just his playing which was ferocious but it was more about the aura about him ...... his persona was bigger than life and truly otherworldly...... Everyone was standing, and nobody sat back down his entire set....... I've never seen that before or since. God rest all who have left us....... Phil Sayce is incredible and while maybe not unique or so original, he is absolutely ALL IN on what he does do, just a ferocious attack on the fret board.

It doesn't matter how many times I see Jeff Healey play, it will always blow my mind he is able to play the way he does and sound INCREDIBLE while doing it.

Dec 6, 1999, first time I saw Phil play, by accident at a Sunday night jam in Aurora Ontario. No idea who he was, after he had played for 10 minutes, I took a black and white photocopy ad for his appearance off the wall and got his auto. safely tucked away in a photo album. When he told me he jammed at bar in Toronto on a weekly basis I was blown away that I would be able to see him play full sets, no cover, 3 full hours every time. Jeff even popped in for a couple songs one night.

I remember the first time I heard you play and sing this with Jeff in Ottawa... I kept looking at Bungie that day asking him if you were for real. You were brilliant then and I love watching your career blossom! All the Best to you Philip.. Your friend Terry

I saw you guys playing in Denmark all thoose years ago, in a smaller pub in a town called Randers, and it was great! At some point in the show you, Philip, used your guitar cable as pick and whipped the hell out of that guitar... I'll never forget that.
    thank you!

You were gr8 with Jeff Healey, but you are meant to play with Melissa. The two of you just have some kind of connection. I don't know what it is?! Love you solo too when you get all "bluesie" with it. Your dope dude.
