bro what did you even do? let the thing cool down a little if your trying to tin your tip. your tip will last a lot longer and not be so crusty. you want the tip to be silver when your done. i kept waiting for you to do something, but you didnt do anything lol.
Sadly, the electrician with 60 years of experience didn't teach you how to solder. (You never use the iron to CARRY solder to the work. You use the iron to HEAT the work until the WORK is hot enough to melt the solder.)

Very fine sandpaper will clean tip in a few seconds.
