I think this was a masterpiece for me. Having never heard of them before I had to stop the video to go download the album, check out their other stuff, and will actively seek out new stuff from them in the future. I’m hooked. I also like to get a little somber sometimes, so the ending worked for me. I’m a sap.
Great review, this is definitely AOTY for me as someone who loves metal, edm, and pop. The album felt so familiar yet I've never quite heard those genres blended together so seamlessly which made it feel like a very unique, fresh experience. I also must agree with you that alot of these songs really do grow on you over time which for me personally is an extremely rare thing. I'm the type of person who can usually identify how much I like a song on the first listen but this album has completely thrown me for a loop when it comes to that. All in all I think this album is a masterclass on how to mix modern pop/edm and metal together and I can't wait to see the heights that Windwaker reaches going forward.
Seeing these songs performed live was such an awesome experience. I had never heard of this band before and became an instant fan last week seeing them during Northlane’s headline tour. Perfect blend of so many genres and an overall fun album.
I love every song on this album. Juliet is such a good closer IMO. It connects the theme of the whole album and makes the album experience a perfect 10/10.
Got to see them live on the Northlane tour, they were amazing live and great dudes to talk to. I ended up being able to get a picture with the band, me and my gf which was awesome. Overall great dudes making great music.
Somehow only came across this as the album released, oh boy I love it when an album this good releases and it’s all fresh and new. In top 3 for album of year already for me
I really dig this album. I saw them in Toronto just before it came out, so it brought back that live energy feeling for me when I put it on. I have the vinyl coming tomorrow
Great review! I'm digging this combination of electronica, metal, rap, . I'm really glad I got to see them live (I just wish they had more time / support to handle technical issues - hard to be the first band of the night). Venom was a new track for me, it has a very Childish Gambino sound to me... anyone else?
Great album and also fun to see you listen/review this stuff! To me this to me feels like a modern day Linkin' Park, particularly the first 2 albums. Obviously the metal aspect, but also the vibe, the cleans/raps, the screams, but especially the blend with Hip-hop & electronic elements. Loved it!
Completely agree with your rating. Unique enough to be a high Delicious but I didn't feel like it was quite to the level of Masterpiece. I believe the last unquestionable Masterpiece album I heard was Sleep Token's "Take Me Back To Eden" and I can't foresee many bands being able to match something along those lines. But looking forward to the ones that do
This absolutely matched Sleep Token's album for me, and I've been a ST fan since Jaws. I argue this has just as much variety, if not more than ST and imo they pull it off incredibly well. They are definitely less refined than Sleep Token but I think in time they can definitely measure up, this is incredible, especially for their second LP.

Thanks for this review of the album. Because if this video i discovered the band!! And its not the first time you accomplished that.

Saw these guys in concert and they were so damn good. Can't wait to hear more in the future from them
That was class, loved the Hypnotised, Venom, Tabula Rasa sequence of tracks, real breath of fresh air!
Love the honesty. Your one of us bro! Metal/ hip hoppers 😊
Awesome band, awesome album, and awesome reaction!
I look forward to seeing more from this band 100%!
I love your review and love the Windies! So proud of what these boys are achieving. ❤
Proud Mum watching from Australia. 😀

Nice! I’m hoping they come to London sometime soon.

Yeah it’s very very good indeed
Oh snap, that breakdown in Hypnotized is pretty similar to the riff from Puzzle Box by Haken. Which is super sick.

Can you believe I am only just listening to this now. I have been missing out , what an album. So original
No such thing as too late though. Welcome to the party!
Liams growth as a singer and screamer is something special

@@mikeormoab hypnotized to me shows they def have some ST inspo. Fucking phenomenal track
Just recently ran into them, I really like the Wall for message and also just the opening is amazing
I instantly liked Infinity - got me bouncing ! wonder your take is after couple of listens
Definitely has grown on me a bit since!
Really enjoyed that.
I saw them on Friday in Baltimore on their tour with Northlane and others. Was a damn good show.
If you enjoyed tracks like Venom I found it really similar to a band called Dropout Kings, exact same vibe
Steve have you not listened to intertia yet? Australia owns metalcore atm tbh.
hi, it would be interesting to see your reaction to the album Ice nine kills welcome to horrorwood part 2
not sure if you have heard of the band what lies belows, if not id def reccomend their songs sleepless, suffer and misguided light
I have heard a song of theirs actually. Misguided. It wasn’t quite interesting enough to make it to this channel but it’s available on my Patreon.
@@SteveOGRock ah fair enough
Venom and Sirens are 🔥 but the whole album is also just pure 🔥😂 don't make us choose
Haha yes indeed! So many bangers.
Tabula Rasa and Get Out are just 🤌
