Ragnar was the show period.
And I think killing Ragnar gave a new beginning to the story as his sons came forward and took charge, the thing I absolutely despise is Ragnar and lagertha breaking up. That shit made me so mad...

oh my gosh! I thought it was just me, everything started going down with Ragnars depression, they could have stretched Ragnars power way more episodes I think.
Ragnar's death was absolutely shocking, yet it left me curious to know what will be the pay back.. and Hurst did the rest. Can't wait to watch season 6.

Ragnar didn’t really come back tho. For me the show got better without him lol he made the show funny but when he left it became more dark an deadlier
Without Ragnar Lothbrok the show was sooooo boriiiiiing. The whole time I have been fast forwarding just to see him again. He is the crazyines, lunatic, bravery. We all want to see at least for most of us.....without him....you know.

I have faith in Michael Hurst. We have to give Alexander Ludwig and Kathrine winnick , Clive Standen as well as others credit for how well they portray their characters! There have been good episodes and season 6 will make Vikings go out with a bang

I of course was super sad he was killed off. But after a smidge of skepticism in season 5, I was quickly invested again by King Harold and his brother and Bjorns arc. I wasn't displeased with the series at all. Thought it quite epic actually. Missed it so much when it was over I started watching it again. BTW, I recommended doing that. The story line is so much richer, you catch things that are foreshadowed that you wouldn't have caught in the first watch. Especially predictions from the seer.
I have watched all of the season's it was sad that Ragnar died, but it continues with his son's, brother. What got me ticked was the time that was taken between season's being made. The time spent between season's the audience moved on the other program's. They spent crazy amounts of time between season's. That was the loss of the audience!

Got and vikings were my shows and they end just a year apart from each other both ending with season 6. Got needed to end but vikings I feel like it just started. Yes I agree ragnars death was a mistake but I do think as a whole this should have lasted. I really thought this would be like the walking dead in terms of longevity I mean it’s rated I think 95% out of 100!!! The audience seems to have rated this very high, which leads me to believe their is another twist to the real ending

So I start watching after a few ep was interesting,till Ragnar time but also Ivar and Byorn did a great job so when a lot quit watching I continued/finished then watched again 5 times complete. Disappointed when was over .

I would've watched season 10 if Ragnar hadn't died. I'm still gonna watch season 6 because I kinda like the Bjorn Vs Ivar thing but I definitely wouldve liked it more if Ragnar was alive.

As per my experience I watched both got and vikings, my favorite is vikings, I enjoy all seasons of vikings but got I really force myself to watch first 3-4 seasons then it felt okay to watch depending on 6,7,8 seasons.
I only a week ago started binging on Vikings. And I've stopped at Ragnar's death. I tried the first episode of season 5, but couldn't go on. That's a wrap for me. The show died with Ragnar

i think vikings became better than GoT as time went by but because it wasnt shown in HBO. that has made all the difference but vikings never went dull and game of thrones went down big time on the last season.

I think the show kinda died with ragnar but i think it was kept alive by ivor i do think ivors death wasnt a good death i understand why he was killed but i think they could have made it better
I watched until the very end of season 6 and for me, none of it was more intriguing than that of season 4 and prior. When they killed off Ragnar the show began to grow boring. Then they killed off lagertha and bjorn and it got worse. Ivar, hvitserk and Ubbe didn't carry the show the way the greats did. Season 5 and 6 I felt forced to watch, but now it just feels like wasted time.
To the director of Viking , you have made a mistake of your life by making Ragnar out of the show !! Still I feel sad for that scene .. Brutal and pathetic direction ..
The show ended cause we ran out of cool characters to follow. Only two characters left worth following would’ve been Hvitserk and Ubbe and their stories all but ended.
This show was about Ragnar and his sons. Without them there is no show.

Ummm. This is the first vid i have seen explaining that the sons of Ragnar were just not interesting?? Every person ive spoken to has said that all around Vikings was amazing and i agree 100%. The story that was told after Ragnars death was fucking epic. Showing Bjorn Ironside and Ivar the Boneless clashing along with the story between King Harald and Bjorn was amazing as well. This vid is purely opinion and im pretty sure that this opinion is in the minority because i know the majority loved the show as a whole.
Never be another show like GOT and VIKINGS. Sad loved them watching
Funny I like the show better after season 4 A....Ivar and Harald carried seasons 5 and 6 and those are my favorite seasons.

We all know the series floped after season 5 after they showed a cripple walk through a field filled with highly skilled fighters killing each other and managed to kill one of the most skilled fighters on the island.. What a joke 😂😂😂
An ending that failed miserably to peak anyone's interest... A series that started of very well until the last two season that were just boring and unmotivating/interesting to watch as a snail crawling to its next meal... 😂😂😂
