I’ve been watching a lot of your videos since I came across your channel and all of the content you make has been a joy to watch…I just got an 06 LMTD V8 4x4 and I’m so stoked

Totally agree on the road trip comfort. Something I was hoping for and was very glad to confirm about getting my '08 V6 in April '21. Even after putting on General Grabber ATs, it's still quiet and comfortable for multiple long days of highway miles. By comparison I'd be completely exhausted after a single long day of driving my lifted XJ (RIP), even after putting lots of hours and thousands of dollars into making suspension solid AF-the noise and on-road busy-ness would take a toll.

Nice setup, recently got a V8 4th gen as well. How do the basic Dobinsons compare the the Bilstein 5100s on and off road?

In my opinion in offroad situations: Bilstein is really firm at lower speed such as below 10mph than softens up above that speed due to the way they are valved. It's a rough ride if you are crawling around rock gardens.n
Dobinson is medium stiffness the way its valved and really predictable offroad because the valving don't change like bilstien. Dobinson do seem to cause more body roll on switchbacks.
If I were to choose either one. I'd go with Dobinson again.
On road is pretty similar over pot holes and such. Dobinson has a tiny bit more body roll around bends but that might be due to a lower spring rate I'm using with the dobinsons. I found that dobinson yellow is much more firm than dobinson IMS.

One thing I'm super happy about with my v6 4th gen is that I have 2wd, I don't like that the v8 have full time 4wd

There are positive and negative about both systems. Biggest thing for me is that I can be in 4lo while offroading and turn like a 2wd with the transfercase unlock. People have to make 2-3 point turns on tight corners and all I have to do is press the transfercase button than make the turn without backing up 😄

Dude, I used to live right next to where you’re parked in Colorado. I rode my bike there all the time!

Any info on how you wire the atrac cut off switch to the booster?

I accidently said brake pressure switch. It's actually the brake fluid level sensor that I tapped into. You can google it and find the location. The level sensor has 2 wires going to it. Cut one of them and wire a toggle switch in between. Turn the toggle switch off and it breaks the connection. That triggers a code in the abs module therefore turning atrac off. Cycle the ignition switch to reset the code and atrac starts working again
