I didn't think the mpg figures sounded too bad at all ?! Most of us in real world driving would be ok with over 40mpg on a petrol and 56 on a diesel, no?
I bought a KIA soul 2020 for my wife as a bday gift. Ever since, shes coming home everyday late from work, there are full of hand marks, white stains on the seats, mostly at the back and funky smell. Does warranty cover these problems, due to delays and poor staining materials? Please help with advice?

to the carbuyer channel - if you test the fuel consumption of a car, you should point out the consumption at city speeds and highway speeds.
14.69 km per litre is ~6.81 litres per 100 km. in Europe at least that's how we measure fuel consumption and that's not good. it's more than a BMW X3!

***** for both, especially diesel. honestly, if im not mistaken, even the thirstiest x3 does 47 mpg which is more mpg = less lt/100km = more fuel efficient
It does 5.5 5.7 l per 100km on average. I've got one, filling the tank every 9 days and my wife drives 120km to work every day Monday to Friday. It's a cracking little thing

Don't like the color. I guess I would like this one better in black or silver, but then ofcourse: If you are the person that likes a black or silver car, you don't go and buy a Kia Soul.
I would never buy one of these, but I do respect them and the people that do buy them. It has personality. Astras and Golfs don't have that much these days. so yeah, it is nice to have cars like these on the roads.

+Xtwonine That is 41 miles per imperial gallon. An imperial gallon is ~4.5 liters while a US gallon is ~3.8 liters. In the US, the 1.6 liter Soul is rated by the EPA at 24mpg city and 30mpg highway.

The headlights are nowhere near a BMW, the grill has no similarity to the split iconic grill of a BMW. Maybe you are just blind or a troll. Pick one.

KIA seems to be really desperate to have a higher and more desirable brand image for more profitable pricing on their lineups but they have kept failing so far.
How do you explain the success it's had in the biggest market then? KIA is doing amazingly well in the US, Russia and China and you know for a fact how demanding and competitive these markets are. Every big car company targets the US & Russia (and Chine as of late). They sell their most expensive and well equiped cars over there.
This is the ugliest car up to this date, kill it with fire, quick!

Well KIA is building a quite strong Brand being fairly new, so for family and mid range cars is really not that bad a brand at all. One should also not forget that a former VW designer now leads KIA - They have IMO progressed at an remarkable rate over the last 8 years. They also won several RED DOT awards among other awards. Off course KIA can not have a big Brand heritage that will match much more established car makers, but for a "new comer" the KIA brand is doing rather well.
HesteBremse Because KIA is selling cheap car in the past, now they are struggle to improve their brand image. Maybe they should follow Toyota, create new brand (Lexus) for higher market segment.

훼음훼훼훼 Nope, i just use Toyota as example because they are related. Where in fact, in the last few years KIA has been improved and start to sell good quality and reliable car with impressive design. I can say they are even better than any Japanese car nowadays and even match with VW. However many people still do not realize this and still think that KIA is a bad car. That's the reason why I said the only things bad is the badge. They need to improve their brand image and make a subsidiary company is one of the strategic marketing that they might do.
