    That is ludacriously large for a 200watt panel!

    • @ChaseTheWeekend
      @ChaseTheWeekend 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Possibly, but compared to what though? It's smaller than the Kings 200w fixed panel, and only 175mm longer than their 160w semi-flexible, a tad bigger than the Hardkorr 170w and a lot smaller than the Enerdrive 200w fixed panel. If there is a panel stating a much higher wattage in a smaller foot print I would be very skeptical about their claims. Let me know and if it's not too expensive I will buy it and test it out. Thanks for watching!

    A few years back, on our way back to Perth, we camped up about midnight just off the road and got up really early, packed up the swags and headed home. 8 months later I got my swag out and the entire thing including the mattress was BLACK with mould. The condensation from my breathing caused the mould. I threw everything out and bought a new swag. DOH ..!

    • @ChaseTheWeekend
      @ChaseTheWeekend 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Damn that sucks. Mould is a real pain. Always a good idea to air out the swags when you get back home. I do mine every few months even if they haven't been used. Thanks for watching!

    Make up your own 12v socket charging point, and make it accessible, that's that problem solved. As for the gas bottle, there is an adapter available so you can run a 9kg gas bottle for longer use. The Cons in this video are easily overcome. I have also been looking at the Joolca hot water system. While the Aquacool has the battery and gas as part of the machine, which a plus it doesn't have much pressure. The Joolca has the battery, gas and pump as separate items, that need to be attached everytime, it also has good pressure with the larger pump I think it was 2.6L a Min maximum with large pump. There are lots to consider between the two brands, one is a all in one unit with poor pressure, the other seems to be a pain in the arse to set up, but has excellent features and pressure.

    • @ChaseTheWeekend
      @ChaseTheWeekend 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah, ideally you'd have a 12v socket close by to plug in. I haven't seen the adaptors personally but lots of people have mentioned them. I wouldn't be refilling the small bottles though as they are not made for it but being able to use a 4.5kG would be sweet as a lot of people already carry one with them. Haven't used the Joolca one so not sure. Depends on what you want to do, if you are on the move and limited space and don't mind a slower shower then the Aquaheat would be the go or if you ahve the room and time then the bigger unit would work too. I prefer to have minimal things to set up as most of our camping is on the move, rarely do we stop somewhere for a few nights. Thanks for watching!

    What was your tyre pressures? What gear did you use from access road? and at the beach side?

    • @ChaseTheWeekend
      @ChaseTheWeekend 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey, we normally run between 20-25psi (mostly 25) but depends on how high the tide is and how soft the sand is, sometimes may need to drop a little lower. Coming on to the beach I think I was in 2nd-3rd low and then swapped back to 4 high range when we were on the hard sand. Always best to drive to the conditions. Thanks for watching.

  • @louiskudlak2241
    @louiskudlak2241 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Yeah kings have taken alot of negative criticism over the years but I think their gear is getting better all the time, I’ve had some kings over the years and has still lasted till present day, got some spotties recently and they are great but didn’t cost me the earth like some big (overpriced) brands, got a roof top solar panel still going years later, kings winch still working 4 years on

    • @ChaseTheWeekend
      @ChaseTheWeekend 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah, some of their stuff can be a bit hit or miss but as a whole their quality seems to be on the up. To be fair though, you can't get too much wrong with a glass solar panel, China have been making them for a long time now and are the masters of them. I have seen some pretty terribly made panels that surprisingly still work quite well but these Kings ones I got are really quite well made and have been performing excellently. My brother-in-law had his monster winch for well over 5 years before it died. Kings is great for people wanting to get in to 4x4ing and camping and not wanting to break the bank and also great for ordinary stuff that you don't need to spend big buck on like LED lights, cast iron gear and bits and bobs. Thanks for watching Louis!

    The Kings "Anderson Style" plugs are crap. The pins are very weak and wear down very quickly. Had to replace all mine on a folding panel and the MPPT charger as I wasn't getting a decent connection.

    • @ChaseTheWeekend
      @ChaseTheWeekend 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agree, they are not the best. Might be ok for connections that don't get disconnected and reconnected often. Problem is genuine Ando's are stupid expensive. I picked up 100 off Ebay years ago and back then it was around 50c a pair and still better that than the kings ones. Thanks for watching.

    Hi, thanks for the review. I've been looking at getting one of these, my current set up is a 20l container that I cover in a black bin bag, leave in the sun until it warms up, then use my Kickass self contained shower in it. Your clip has persuaded me to get one but I'll get the 3/8" to DOM hose so I can use my cooker bottle and probably buy the AC adapter as a previous comment suggests. Thanks again.

      100%. Most of that happened only in that few weeks of storms we had. It's a great spot up there, there's a heap of inland tracks, walking and driving, you can do and you can walk all the way to the north point, where we stopped was as far as you can drive. 385 Frankston Dandenong rd Dandenong south Mark Not friendly when it comes to customer service Frankston Dandenong rd with the manger Mark he was a total nut. I bought 2 x 700mm kings drawers 5/10/2024 took them home decided to open one for the time being to install to the vehicle. I decided to upholster the edges of the draw so it don’t look bare. Today 18/10/2024 decided to to open the second box and noticed it wasn’t the same colour grey. At that time drove Back to the store Frankston Dandenong rd store and spoke to the store manager Mark about the situation he did not cooperate with me at all by insisting that it’s the same colour trying to make me look that I was colour blind, after a while he admitted it was deferent shade and started handballing the whole matter with a bunch of excuses. I also stated that the draw was rusted in some areas and said due the the modifications which was carpet glued around the edges. He was referring to the policy that they will not take anything that’s being modified. The batch numbers were all the same but the shades were different. I wanted a solution I wasn’t aware of the other draw being different colour . He Did not resolve the problem until a called the POLICE hoping it won’t escalate in a bad way at that moment he decided not to talk any further. While later he approache me in a suspicious manner and asked me why am I still around and said I did called the POLICE and I replied YES i did to Mark. He disappeared very quickly. POLICE DID eventually came no tha it was necessary as I knew the outcome. But jus to make it look bad in the store while people were shopping.
I’m not happy with their attitude towards customer crevice. I will no longer be a customer for kings 4x4 store and many others will follow after posting sharing negative reviews all over facebook twitter and so on.
Thanks kings for really looking after your customers in such a bad manner.

      I have them and i also have the new 300w black frame version. Using victron 100/30 solar controllers, i get 195w from these 250w solar panels, and 255w from the new 300w version. The 300w is not only smaller when folded, its also lighter. The only downside is that the legs dont really have enough height adjustment. Im on the sunshine coast Queensland and its first week of December, i found that at the positions available i get 235w from the 300w but if i lay it down a bit flatter, i get 255w. The 300w solar panel also requires 8mm² solar cable if its 6m or longer. I had 4mm2 solar cable at 6m and it went down to 225w, 6mm² cable from kings i got 240w and with 8mm² cable i got 255w, but going up to as big as 16mm² there were no further gains. Hope this helps 😊

      @@ChaseTheWeekend ha, yeah we always get a fake spring for a few days, but it's been pretty average so far, tons of cold wind off the mountains. Looking forward to some warmth
