Congrats on taking part and finishing considering you had the flue. Great effort! Just wanna say thanks for posting these videos. It's got me motivated to give enduro racing a go as well. I've started exercising daily and my 300 EXP TPI 6 Days will be arriving this week. Pretty pumped!

So was your GoPro broken? I use the Pro Shot chin mount, you should check it out. Less chance of catching the camera on a branch and gives the best pov in my opinion.

I'm out in Nevada, so this hare-scramble is out of my range, but want to get into riding/racing like this. I also ride a KTM 300. Great video, helped me to understand the way hare scrambles and things work, what the pace may be etc. I think I might take a shot at The Virginia City Grand Prix. Cool video
It's funny tho cause I ride in the woods so much that Nevada would be a cool change of pace lol. The desert, rocks and wash outs would have to be fun, and dry! Man it gets so nasty out here and wet that I'd love to do some good single track riding where it's nice and dry.

We'll find some practice sections for the bar wiggle to get through the tight trees more easily. Good on ya for staying strong and pushing through the second lap.
Im glad you picked up on that! half of those wiggles was the Flue, the other half was inexperience.

I have been looking at the recluse! It looks like its about $800 for this 300. Its gona have to wait a few months but its on the list!

Razz on Bonesaw for me! Lol that guy is a beast! Been keeping track of his vids too. Im going to play around with some different mounts this weekend and see what i can come up with. I have an original gopro and its kind of bulky.
haha will do! Chin or under visor works the best. I have clearance issues with the visor mount running the hero 4 with the battery backpack.
I have a chesty, handlebar and a bunch of sticky mounts. Ive seen alot of guys lose cameras using just stickies. Thinking about trying the sopro front mount so i can talk and can be somewhat heard talking.

Give the proshot chin mount setup a try. It gives a great view for dirt bike videos and it keeps the camera out of the way from being knocked off or out of place.

I remember my 1st race lol. I was thinking I had some skills until about half way through. It’s mentally tiring and physically draining to say the least. The difference was I was down south in the summer on a 100 degree day. Lol.

That sucks you wasn't 100% for the race. I have lucked out and have not been sick for a race. I really like the terrain that race had. That drone view was sweeeet.

Nah i think you did real good om on the singel track dude. pro tip is to try to stand up on the bike in upphills and on the singel track! You will have a better flow on the bike and wont get so tired!!

How to get into the racing scene ??
First thing is first, you need to become an AMA member. www.americanmotorcyclist.com/
They will assign you a temp Number, and you can take that number to an Event near you.
What state do you live in?

Nice. So All you do is Join AMA, Bring the Temp AMA number and show up to one of these vchss races. Here is the Race schedule vchss.org/vchss_flag_intro.htm . Come early, like 8am and sign up / Pay entry fee. Bring a Helmet boots gloves. And you are ready to go.

I hit a tree hard there last year. Bent my front brake rotor and broke my headlight, plus ruined my bid for a 40+C class win. Nasty hit on the shin swelled up 2 inches off my leg. I love riding in Hawaii now, but I do miss VCHSS. I won Pipsico in J class back to back 2014 and 2015. Love that place, don't miss that one. I was trail-boss for the Eastover Race last year.
