That would be badass if you could piss Johnny off so much that he takes over V's body and throws the crew overboard or something.
There is much better dialogue, but you need to be johnny friend to unlock it, it's a real farewell, very sentimental and Johnny calls V by his full name for the first and only time in the game.

Yup, insanely emotional dialog, and then u see how jonny V changed, v and jonny changed each other to the better, crazy storytelling ngl
4:25 great facial acting, really sends emotions through. almost can feel Johnny's sorrow, anger, disappointment and sadness.
I don't wanna lie, but I think they made all facial expressions using software called JALI, so it's not real actor's expressions.
V really throws Silverhand into the blaster. This shit is just sad

I always find myself doing the don't fear the reaper ending simply because I rather go out on my own terms alone.

I can't imagine anyone speaking to Keanu like that, I'm glad i choose the good endings and had a great time with Johnny.
In next playthrough I’m definitely going to be hard on Johnny and have worst relationship with everyone except Arasaka and NUSA.

It really sucks that you can't ask Johnny if AI Alt is really the best choice after you witnessed what happened to So Mi, especially if you visited Cynosure.
We know she (mostly) keeps her word, but on my first playthrough I was seriously expecting the worst. After opening a backdoor to her and V thanking her for the help, I shuddered when she said "Are you sure about that?". Not all AIs are mass murdering devils, but they are all devils nonetheless. Dealing with them is never a good idea even if some are somewhat fair.
Damn I could never do this ending. I hope there is no achievment for this

Not like the sadness in particular, but every ending has an achievement. So you can more or less end this on a happy note with Johnny. Not despising each other.
pretty sure your relationship with johnny makes it different, when i did thin ending it wasnt this harsh
I never saw these dialogues because my relationship with Johnny was pretty good so we ended on good terms. Still makes me sad seeing it happen

I hoped there was an ending where you could give johnny a body of his own using the relic. Man this sucks.

There's no ending where V achieves his dream and survives. V wants to be a legend, just like Jackie. And to do that, he needs to die, just like Jackie.
The game builds up to the Temperance ending being the canon one - either that, or the Devil.
Dex asks you a question at the start of the game; quiet life, or blaze of glory. In this ending, you choose the quiet life - in the Temperance ending, you die in a blaze of glory, saving a friend of yours.

I had dialogue similar to this since I didn’t call him my friend in the oil field. God I hated it. Weighs so heavy here.

This isn't roasting, it's just evil. Abusing the man you're about to murder. He's not even a narcissist. V sounds more like a sociopath himself in this dialogue.
Johnny is a mass murderer of innocent people, still. He killed 750 000 people with his nuke, 99% of them civilians. He never feels guilty about that really and would do it again. If your V doesn't wanna let it slide, hating him is the way to go. So what, if he is cool and fun to be around.

How did V kill Johnny??? She just wants to live like any person would want. This was the safest and most reasonable way to survive. Are you saying you’d let someone like Johnny stay in your head?? Johnny did tons of bad things and to V, not everyone’s going to be so forgiving especially living with their literal abuser (yes Johnny is, let’s not forget their first meeting).
V was right about Johnny and always will be. It was always too late for him to change (considering literally nobody could even see him).

@@misternoobie for me he said sad shit, about how he’s going to miss this and things, about how we could’ve gotten help from rouge or the aldecaldos and he said “promise me something (then u answer idk what but i do) promise me you will never stop fighting, good night Vincent, today was a good day” when they sedated v, like a proper goodbye, man did my depression skyrocket after that

@@net343It's interesting, in some ways it's less sad because Silverhand really did finally get one actual choom that could "stand to be in the same room", which really IS what makes it so heartbreaking- that choom ended up being the one who made the choices that got him killed.
This one is just sad because he got another "chance", and it was all for nothing in the end. He never had anyone that he didn't push away, fight with. And he'll fade into history more and more with every passing year.
Had 85% relationship and still got this version of the talk... Wtf??? I was pissed. Did I go through the whole game with a bugged Johnny relationship????
i think it has to do with your actions in the oil fields or chippin in. similar requirements with don't fear the reaper if you want a different dialogue.
@@misternoobieyep it’s a common misconception that people think that reputation effects don’t fear the reaper/The tower but it’s actually how you treat him in the oil fields, chipping in and at the pstis Sophia hotel
I love this roasting, gonna play my next playthrough pissing him off and getting this ending.
Just feels right because originally Johnny had the option to steal V's body while V couldn't do the same in return without dying.

And besides that, how could they not feature Johnny? I mean the literal conflict of this game is him inhabiting our head, but even then V still has the spotlight for 85% of it, and rightfully so since they’re the main character
This just in, terrorists have literally zero emotions or conscience. He genuinely believed the ends justified the means, that's observably not true since nothing was truly accomplished at the end of the day but it's not like he did it for fun.
@@frigid_metal9545 I'm not sure what you mean. Johnny says to V that V's "conscience will catch up" to him in re: removing Johnny Silverhand. V is not the terrorist in this case, Johnny is. In terms of what Silverhand accomplished--it's the advancement of corporations, particularly Arasaka. He gave them very good reason to increase corporate security and control over Night City. I doubt Arasaka would be as focused on corporate defense without Silverhand.
@@PrismaticGeyserr The game encourages you to side with Johnny multiple times, despite Johnny being a despicable terrorist who killed hundreds of innocent people and put the world at risk by instilling a nuclear winter; not to mention the ramifications of giving Arasaka an excuse to further fuel its corporate military capability. Separately, he murdered Alt by pulling her cable out when she was jacked in.
When Johnny comes back through V and forces V's hand to meet his former friends, all of them back up Johnny despite Johnny being a menace to them all 50 years ago. In this ending, V is in a coma for a life-changing surgery for two years. In those two years, all but two of his/her friends abandon V. I find this to be a huge stretch, almost like the writers of the game were trying to force you to side with Johnny.
The entire Rogue/Kerry sidequest bothers me, also. There are no options in the game to preserve your consciousness, you can only choose to take the yellow pill and let Johnny wreak havoc, or you have the option of telling Johnny "I don't want to help you now [with Rogue or Kerry], let's do that later." The game is designed for you to side with Johnny, instead of carving a path out for V.
Other parts that bothered me is throughout the game, you have little ability to tell Johnny off, or take the blue pill to prevent him from cutting into your consciousness.
I feel that the game would have been better if Johnny was kept a side character. In the early demos, it was hinted that you could have picked one of three engrams--Silverhand, Blackhand, or Saburo--through the backstory system. Instead, that system was removed and the storyline was designed s.t. options that are approved by Johnny end in a positive note (storming Arasaka/siding with Cunningham, or staying with Panam) while ones that focus on V's safety (like the option ending in PL) are portrayed negatively.
@@JordanMills1932-ix5ix Sorry on reread I somehow seem to have misread the original comment, I thought they were saying johnny is a hypocrite since he himself had no problem killing countless people in pursuit of his goals, which is not true.
Johnny does care about people, he was just so deluded that he thought that the people killed in the OP were worth the lives it would save in the long term, even if he was probably wrong (altho it did end the corpo war).
Granted, this is only going off of what the game tells us, which according to the original books and adventure packs was significantly distorted by Johnny's narcissism, the old version of soulkiller used, the fact he had been ripped in half by Adam Smasher's shotgun and was bleeding out as he got soulkilled (which by the way was done by spider-murphy not arasaka), and the fact he was in mikoshi for 60 years likely resulting in him reliving his memories over and over distorting them further and arasaka messing with his head (how the hell he got to mikoshi is unknown though, since his engram should have been in the possession of spider-murphy and rouge iirc).
