I always wonder if its surreal to see others building your designs. I love the track saw takes a lot of the worry away of trying to getting that perfect cut.
Did you use a pattern for this or make up your own Galley area? I really like how yours came out. I think I may try to copy this unless you have some measurements I could use? Great job on the build though!
The grand question is do we use plywood from Home Depot or european cabinet grade 60 inch by 60 in 9 or 12 ply plywood? Cuz that's a big diff in price..... measure twice cut once!
great video! two questions: 1) is this based on the Shawnee Hills' design? 2) no insulation at all? isn't it going to get condensation inside in colder temperatures? Thanks for sharing your build
Yes it is, I modified it with the roof. It has 3/4 insulation thru out. You can check out my other video q&a I go through more of the details. My parents non insulated teardrop doesn't get condensation but you have to keep the trailer window cracked. You have to do that anyway to keep from dieing.
Looks great! Love these timelapse videos! Just a bit of a technical question: it looks like you're screwing the plywood together with some of the screws basically going in parallel to the plies -- without a Kreg jig or any blocks... I also thought this was a no-no for reasons of holding strength and pullout. Thoughts? Thanks!
Thanks, I'm predrilling and by no means counting on those screws to be the main supports. I'm gluing every join as well where two plywoods coming together I'm inserting a 3/4x3/4 piece gluing it and screwing from both directions. I hope that makes sense. In the video I' haven't got to any of the reinforcements yet.
@@thekevinjustice I think I may of captured it. I was being lazy and not setting up the camera recently. I just got the walls insulated, reinforced, interior wall installed and roof put on.
@@slyexpeditions6579 thanks I'll check him out for sure! The only thing I gotta ask are the joints where the plywood meet mitered? I've never made these types of joints yet just curious on if they are and how challenging the were?
@@b_inspired9542 I only used biscuit joiners on the wings by the galley. Every other spot has a 3/4x3/4 wood going into every corner where plywood meets with glue and screws going into both directions. You'll see this in my other videos.
Superbe musique et un travail d’équipe formidable 😊👌
Bravo
awesome music and great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome!! How did you connect the plywood sheets end to end? Pocket screws?
Pocket screwed, biscuit jointer and wood glue
Love the design can’t wait to see it finished. 👍👍
nice work dude :D wow i´m from germany i love youre projekt
Thanks :)
nice hand made
It is still so weird for me to see people build my camper, it’s like some sort of weird Deja vu. Btw, how do you like the track saw
I always wonder if its surreal to see others building your designs. I love the track saw takes a lot of the worry away of trying to getting that perfect cut.
I was gonna ask if this was the shawnee camper. Its my favorite design. I wanna build it this winter.
Good music 👍🏼
Thanks
Very cool. I'm curios about one thing. How did you attach the side extension part at the rear? Couldn't tell what you joined it into.
biscuits. with a biscuit jointer
Well I would like to thank you for the introduction to Ben Howard. 👍🏼
Check out "oats in the water" that's the song that set me out to find out who played it.
Good job 👏🏻👌

Great work! When are we gonna get part 2? I love this design.
I've been enjoying some holiday in CO. I'm ready to get back on the build so hopefully something very soon.
Sly Expeditions awesome. CO is a haven for adventure. Looking forward to it. Subscribed!

I got it from a local fine lumber yard that has high end 4x8 sheets.
Very good. I wish I can see the final look once done 🥰
You and me both brother :)
So no framing or insulation? Just plywood assembled together?
It's fiberglassed and 3/4 foam insulation
I want to do something like this except make it a slide in truck camper

What is the circular saw your using? I looked I got the makita saw guide but was sure how it would work with a non makita saw.
Wen plunge saw

Wow, what a cool video. Great job on the project! Did you draw the plans out yourself or did you have a guide with measurements?
Shawnee hills the guy that commented below sells the guide. I modified it slightly to meet my needs.
Real men don't need plans measure 2X cut once
@@slyexpeditions6579 I thought it looked like Shawnee hills'. Do the plans come with a guide for the actual trailer as well?
@@andrewmalbright No it does not, just the wood box. He actually recycled a trailer for his build.
@@slyexpeditions6579 thanks. The trailer.is what's going to be a sticky wicket work me to build. Not sure how to go on that part 🤔
How can I get a blueprint for this camper

Surely already asked but: plywood thickness?

They are shawnee hill blueprints. You can get them from him.
