The presentator I’ve seen before. He always did a good job in showing this unique camper. But, man he has found his stride lately. In my opinion, he is now on fire 🔥 and should definitely help to move a lot of units this year. Good job 👍!!!!
In my eyes, the only "problem" with the presenter is so attractive. He's got terrific eyes, eyebrows, etc. that are soo distracting. And I'd love to know what all the artwork on his right arm means. I distract so easily. This 75 yr. old grandma says thank you. Oh, and he is doing a stellar job!
Was thinking the same thing. A thin 1/4” or 1/2” birch plywood with lift struts may also provide some added insulation below the mattress. Adding some rails to attach duffel bags or even some netting above the bed.
Well done, Tribe Trailers. Capability and feature rich, what an amazing camper trailer. I stopped by the LA location earlier this year to check this out. I believe the young mans name was Carlos, really nice guy and gave us a complete tour and demonstration. The production ready version looks even better. I noticed on the website, the floorplan indicates a "Hatch to Roof Top Tent" but I wasn't able to make that out in the video or any of the images. Interesting. I've added this to my very short list of future options. Cheers!
Seems well thought out. Had a few suggestions: (1) On Board Air: Would be nice to have 1 forward and 1 aft compressed air port for tools and airing tires up. (2) Rear facing camera (3) Red light option. Not at the main control panel but at the individual lights especially outdoor lights. White light attracts bugs and kills night vision. Red light not so much.
there is on board Air 2:00 as well as an access port! a rear-facing camera would be awesome! more options for red light would be nice, agreed, but I am happy to let you know the outside light strip above the kitchen area is a red light strip!
I see the kitchen and awning is now passenger side vs the one we saw at OX Mtn West. Sean was a great dude to chat with and described everything in person and was just as enthusiastic. I can see his passion for the unit. Some good suggestions here in the comments but some stuff could be diy “mods” as well. Thanks for the call today Sean. We’re seriously considering this unit so hope to be in contact soon.
Only issue is the bed. If you could manage to have the "extra bed" meet at the same level as the main bed I think we'd buy this in a heartbeat. It's just too small for two adults to sleep comfortably together. Otherwise the camper is very nice.
Couple of observations - Why aren't the holding tanks completely enclosed? The insulation wrap looks like it would be exposed to the elements when driving. Another is that a bat wing canopy would make more sense due to the kitchen area being away from the door. Also, is there a manual crank option in case the roof lift mechanism fails out in the middle of nowhere?
Yeah, it’s $55000. Where can I read more about profiles of overlanders? Is there a basic assumption that they are all really wealthy? Do Overlanders Finance their adventure rigs over 7-10 years? Are units like this used primarily in front country camp sites but they allow the owner to fantasize about what they “could” do?
Can the unit self-level? I think I agree with some of the other comments - perhaps changing the bed suspension for easier access (no rails) would be a great update. Overall, this looks really well thought out. Nice one!
I’m buying this trailer as long as the price is not ridiculous guys. I know this is not going to be cheap by any means but I am praying it is not ridiculous. I feel like I’m going to be let down but here is to hoping! Great trailer regardless and I love how much hard work everyone did to get this to production.
Figured that out by going to the webpage finally. And 55k is a good price in my opinion. I’ll definitely be checking these out in person as soon as I can, thanks.
@cqbninja3045 seems like my comments are disappearing. You really think this rig doesn't look Chinese made? Look at every component especially the toilet. ROA has a floor model for 34k
Like this idea and one that I'm contemplating. One thought though is the shower/bathroom and kitchen should be switched so you would have a pass through from the indoor kitchen to the outdoor instead of have to go around the camper or inside if you need something
I thought that was a strange "feature" all round. The fridge slide and slide-out kitchen are under there when packed up and the space is only there when they are extended - so you wouldn't really be wanting to access from inside anyway. Maybe if you were snowed in you could access the fridge etc but it would be a 1%er in my view. I agree with Davejg below just put the bed on struts and forget the grates. I think that would give you some access to the smaller passenger side storage. Overall it's quite innovative and noticeably different to the options (what we call hybrid campers) here in Australia.
Now if only there was a longer version so I could take more than just my wife and I. I love these pop up hard tops, easier to drive but has the space when you need it.
If you’re going to do this, just do an overland build on your truck and get a rooftop tent on it. Then you can have space for five people. Three in the trailer and two on top of the truck.
So if I want something from the fridge in the middle of the night (or weather is poor), the mattress has to be removed, or folded in 3rd (with the bedding), take off a grate, open the lid (in the "wrong" direction), and reach down at an uncomfortable, if not impossible, angle from either atop of the folded bed or kneeling on the metal grate? Or go all the way around outside? Hmmmmm. Why not switch it with the AC under the small seat that I probably only need to access on rare occasion?
This is a really nice walk around very good descriptions and quick efficient showing. I am disappointed in the size of the bed. The length is fine but it is two inches thinner than a Double, which is already to small for me and my wife together. We need a queen minimum which is an extra 8 inches wider.
The grates under the bed seem open to the elements. Would there be a draft (or heat) from this area? Also seems like when cooking the smells might travel towards mattrees…. ? Just my observation. Trailer looks great though
I have and obi product. I would be curious how hard is it to order parts if something goes wrong ? I know dealing with Obi in Tempe az is terrible. Their facility is very limited with parts. They wait for conex container shipments to fill up b4 they ship anything, which in turn means very long waits. I hope Tribe has better parts accessibility than Obi does. If not, its just going to cause bad blood with their clients.
I want an electrified version of this. Mini split and induction burners instead of gas/diesel. Lithium battery upgrade over AGM and if its very cold I can use an electric blanket
This is the best compact trailer yet, has it all love that there is 2 kitchens and full bath, love the outside shower too! Great for 2, good for 3 or 2 small kids in my case that would be for my grand kids . Do they sell these gems in 🇨🇦🍁?
Regrettable I would have to pass on this model year due to propane use. Maybe 2026. It needs to be totally electric/diesel. 3 sources of energy is not the industry anymore. ✔️The diesel cabin heater is perfect. ✔️Make hot water diesel too. ✔️Make the cooking induction both places. Single inside, double out. ✔️Add more battery power. ✔️Fill the roof with all the solar you can. Power is your friend! ✔️Add an option for a in-cuboard microwave. Women like a quick and easy dinner for the family in a pinch after a day of driving! ✔️Remove the propane tanks & make the diesel tank bigger. ✔️Steps on the back need to better thought out and a grab rail. Some of us have bad knees. ✔️Add an option (or make it standard) for a strutless awning 270 Deg. Pass side awning & rear entrance door. ✔️12V - AC??? ✔️As a woman, how do I carry the spare off the tire mount let alone trying to put the tire back up! ✔️Loose the black water and go to a casset toilet. Then add more drinking water. Dogs, kids use a lot of water especially if no creek/lake is close. Love the first design. You need to make it more extended stay. I live in the trailer capital of the world, Elkhart, IN and have done consulting on RV's b4 retiring. You're on the right track! This is an amazing first production year build! You definitely have a good niche for backcountry adventures! God bless!
Well this looks like it will be cold in a winter environment. Specifically the aluminum slots under the mattress., (it may not be that bad) as the shell is hard sided.( I personally would want to rent one and try it in January in oregon) in some below zero Fahrenheit weather. I don't think it gets that cold in Australia. But what do I know
First I want to thank you for putting the inverter outside and not underneath the bed. At least some EMF will be blocked. Why no one things about the EMF they will be sleeping over I don't get. Second, general question overall, why is it that trailers install an outside kitchen and an inside kitchen. I see that as such a waste of usable space. Either cook outside or cook inside. No need to duplicate something, especially when space is at a premium. If you could answer me that I would like to know.
As I always rather cook outside, I use my inside kitchen when the weather is bad(rain or wind). Would be great if someone made a kitchen system that could be used inside as well as outside all in one. But I haven't been able to find a camper that has something like this. If you know of one please let me know.
very True, and great idea! @jmrdrgz Like Cody said the inside kitchen Is used for when the weather may not be optimal, or for a quick cup of coffee or bite in the morning. While the outdoor cooking is great for when the sun is shining and the weather is good!
Like comparing apples to oranges. This is an offroad trailer intended to be used off-grid. Not at some RV park. You cannot take a 30' Airstream to the places I would take this.
the solar charger can charge lithium batteries, four-person sleeper would refer to two adults and two children, and yes you can access the inside with the top down!
If you overland, you know things will always break. Our trailers are designed to withstand trails that other campers could never imagine. This trailer has zero appeal for a normal family. The inside is painfully boring and AGM batteries is absolutely the wrong choice for any trailer. The beds do not seem well designed at all……so you are suppose to hold up the mattress with one hand, move the aluminum and access whatever you need from below????
Given the size of the camper…a waste of space having an inside kitchen. Perhaps a 270deg awning so that you can cook in the rain or just make sandwiches.
All I have to say is you can't really tell much about anything because the dang video looks like it's something from TV back in the 70s. Maybe it's just something with TH-cam. Will check out the site.
The outside is great, the inside look like a penitentiary

Get rid of the bed support grates and replace with a single hinged with strut support.

Nice that there's a small kitchen inside. Great for bad weather. Kind of a bummer you have to completely tear up the bed to access the storage area...
Great little trailer but the tanks hanging down below the frame makes them very variable on the trail.
