Sports Day - SPARTANS 2024

The enthusiasm of Sports Day extended into yet one more day of sporting events, all aimed at making it ‘fair & square’ for everyone alike. The extended ‘SPARTANS 2024’ was held on 19th February, at the Ajman Police Sports & Shooting Club, with all its sporting formalities. The Chief Guests for the event were Major Khamis Fairouz, International Match Referee, Ajman Police Shooting Club and Captain Muhammad Al-Raisi. The UAE National Anthem & Quran Recitation led the way to the Principal's welcome address and the introduction of Chief Guests. The March Past, which showcased unity and coordination set the tone for discipline and decorum. Signifying the traditional initiation of the sports day, our seniors carried out the torch relay, igniting passion and strength in every sports person’s heart. The torch was perched on its pedestal, after which the oath-taking ceremony took place. With the declaration of the Sports Day Open, by the Chief Guest, the events of the day unfurled. The Welcome Dance by the girls, the Hula Hoop Drill by our little kindergarteners, Flag Drill by the Primary, Karate skills by the milder gender and the Pyramid by the boys. What grace, synchronized movements, coordination, tactful moves, power, and stamina were seen. The adrenaline was high, the cheers were deafening, and the atmosphere was electrifying with energy and grit, as the sporting events took place! Winning isn’t necessarily succeeding and losing isn’t necessarily failing! It is all in the game of true sportsmanship and taken in the true sportsman spirit. So, while the winners were adorned with medals, the rest cheered on. Great indeed. The Teachers too had their share of excitement as they partook in their sporting events, with the students cheering them on. As we reached the end of a dynamic day, it was inevitable that each athlete, irrespective of winning or losing, had shown incredible sportsman spirit. The sporting day ended with an inspirational note of thanks, hoping that the memories of this day will motivate everyone to strive for excellence all the way through.
