Great review (as always) and great floor plan. 2 things I HATE about the Travato are 1) no external water connection, so you are forced to fill the water tank and run off of the tank and 2) the water tank is relatively small, even for a class b.
Likes: 1. I love this floor plan! 2. Ladder and rail system. 3. Rear door curtain rod. That should be standard for all class B. 4. Lots of nice touches and features. Dislikes: 1. Price. Price. Price. 2. Price. Price. Price. Recommendations: 1. Add red and green light color options for bed light. Different light waves perform better or worse depending on the activity. Red is great for reading. Winnebago and the RV industry is ruining vanlife with pricing designed, imo intentionally to make Class B vans out of reach for many customers. Their manufactured price bubble will collapse, and it will hurt those buying at these prices, manufacturers' employees, and RV industry workers. When manufacturers raise their prices to have comparable prices to luxury Class Bs, it causes a cycle for luxury brands to raise their prices. Eventually, this price bubble will pop. Winnebago is a great brand. Its not Airstream or Grech Rv. I knew the Adventure Wagon price would drive other Winnebago Class B prices up to justify its price. $200K is insulting and absolutely disrespectful. Please read that Winnebago execs. Sure You can afford this, most people can't. This will go from the top selling to not real fast.
Additionally, for that OUTRAGEOUS “Let’s Go, Brandon” PRICE, ALL Winnebago RV’s Should Be Four-Season STANDARD AND BUILT TO LAST ON OR OFF ROAD OR ALL REPAIRS ARE PART OF THE PACKAGE! Exclusions: Knucklehead Owner/Operators. 😄
Same complaint that I have with most of these vans - the manufacturers think every van has to accommodate 4 passengers. That 2nd row seat is just wasted space for many of us. There are many van travelers who are only a couple or solo. Why does nobody want to make a van for us?
I'm in the same boat. Looking at a vehicle for only a couple and something like the Thor Sequence/Tellaro K floorplan seems to make better use of space
Our Promaster's passenger swivel seat's sensor went out. When it is screaming at you, you cannot put the van in gear. Worse, if you are already running and the sensor goes west, if you have an accident, the airbags will not deploy! That is a safety issue that needs to be fixed. Fortunately, the swivel was covered under the extended warranty. I am also 5'10" and the driver seat does not go back far enough to drive comfortably. The seats are not particularly comfortable on long trips.
"Our Promaster's passenger swivel seat's sensor went out. When it is screaming at you, you cannot put the van in gear." All of the 'safety' systems in vehicles today shits me to tears. It's never ending beeps and alarms and blinking lights all causing you to stop being able to use your vehicle for its intended purpose. They drive me insane. My next vehicle will be old and I'll do it up. Tech is supposed to improve our lives not make it unbearable.
I’m sorry but the price of this small van is the same as some really nice class A motor homes out there. For me personally I would want to have a lot more space and be a lot more comfortable in a bigger motor home. But other people may want the opposite, and that’s perfectly fine, everyone has different opinions and tastes. The tv in this van is on a swivel but can it swivel enough so that the people sitting behind the cockpit can see the tv? Just curious. I watch a few TH-cam channels of people that live in Europe. And they go to every RV show out there. And they give tours of the different campervans and motorhomes. And a lot of the vans are really really nice! And when they say how much they cost I was floored. There was a particular one that if I were there I would have bought it because it was awesome. It was 78,000 euros. Which is $83,000 US dollars.
So was that really a freezer on the bottom or just storage? Porcelain toilet, if not can you factory upgrade? I pretty much love it! I will be traveling single.
I walked through one of these at Hershey this year. I am 6'3", about 220, and was surprised to find that the bathroom seemed to be more than roomy enough for me to use as well. That said, Winnebago really needs to step up their cabinet game if they are going to charge that much. That is Ikea-quality stuff at best and Coachmen eats them for lunch in that regard. OTOH, Winnebago is the only one that I have seen that offers a floorplan like this. If you want a *safe* riding position for a third passenger in most other makes/models, you have to go with a rear lounge setup and then you get very, very little storage in the back and no good way to carry anything big.
Good review. I say this all the time and hope someday the dealer will listen.....The two passenger seats are a tremendous waste of space. Think of all you could with that space. Most B vans are for couples or singles. Not families. Use that for an extended bath or bigger fridge or hanging closet or sooooooooooooooooooooo many other things. Maybe make it an option for the seats if there is some demand but it truly is a waste of space.
Is the driver's seat limited by the lagoon mount location or is that as far back as it will go from the factory? Also 5'10'' and expected this problem with the KL due to the kitchen placement but thought the GL would offer more room.
The rear bath model seems to have much more room, the one featured in this video has a small weird shaped bed and if you are taller than 5'6" you cant stand upright in the bathroom
Just an FYI, you are not supposed to climb the ladder when it’s mounted on the rear door transport position. You can only climb the ladder when it’s mounted to the roof rack on the driver side. The rear door mount is a flimsy upper metal bracket and a single bolt on the bottom, both mounted to the door skin. It will damage both the door skin and the mount.
Hey Matt an Becky hope yall are doing great? This class B van by Winnebago is awesome. Is that a bunk over the driver an passenger seats? Does that air mattress lays on top of the seats or is that a loft over the seats, please let us know? Thank you guys for bringing us the best class B vans on the market today. Your number one fan Leonard Nelson from North Carolina.
Thanks for watching Leonard! No bunk over cab for sleeping on this Van. The air bed blows up and lays across the two front seats and converts this area into another bed.
Why would anyone pay 162k for this is beyond me. You can get a smaller Class C for 50k-60k less with way more to offer by a mile. Or 162k buys you a Class A that's pretty decked out. The pricing on this makes absolutely no sense.
The chassis alone is about 70k the Volta system is about 20k - build and labor isn’t cheap. A class c or a in this price point is going to be built on a cheap box with no high end lithium battery system. Nor as nimble as a van.
I like so much about this van that, if I were designing my own custom van, I would imagine it being very similar to this one. My favorite parts are the corner bed that folds away, the corner bath with decent room for a Class B, and best of all is that Lithium package. However, I dislike that front bench SO much that I would never, ever, ever consider this van. For me it's a huge waste of precious space in a very small unit, and that makes it a 100% deal breaker for me. 👎
agree - and at least the original G had a bed conversion for that area that could take two and the murphy bed had the froli system which looked far superior - the bed here looks cheap and uncomfortable
The upright driving position applies to all Ram vans, so it's not an unique flaw of the Travato. The big bathroom is nice. By the same token it is robbing too much valuable space when not in use.
Hi guys! Great review as usual 😊 Can you do a review of the Renegade Vienna & compare the build quality to the Winnebago View please? Im so confused lol I need your opinions. ❤ Thanks!!!
Pretty sure it used to be because the Travato was cheap and widely available. Now? Well you're probably getting 40% off MSRP so without the volta option it's only around 120k.
Those second seat are cheap and hard to sit on....need 12 volt AC...no heat vent in the rear for sleeping....insulation is spotty.....cheap puck lights....they have that shallow sink in all their B vans.....best B bathroom...solo traveler...
Do you have to use the curtain to take a shower outside? Depending on the people showering you might get a few dollar bills. Matt in bed with Becky, where is Andrea?
Bring back the exterior water fill. I don't want to open the back in cold/hot/rain and lose temp just to fill water
Frige needs freezer. Microwave needs convection. Don't want previously mentioned water fill.
@@bwtawnyThe freezer is the drawer below the fridge with vertical divider; would be nicer with ice maker since no shelf for cube trays.
Great video Matt and Becky and so glad to see you Becky....
Becky you are just the greatest! You tell it how it is don’t hold back. AND keeping to showing the awning as I asked you to show them. Thank you!!
Thank you! I appreciate your support! 😊

@TeleOfficial_MattsRvReviews OK so what is it? Is there an upgrade to the water fill situation?

@@randyebastian8186always a douchebag that has to ruin everything by making it political
No one pays msrp. Not even close. 35-45% discounts on current yr models is the norm.
Great video, make me feel like to get one, but I think the price is too high
Same complaint that I have with most of these vans - the manufacturers think every van has to accommodate 4 passengers. That 2nd row seat is just wasted space for many of us. There are many van travelers who are only a couple or solo. Why does nobody want to make a van for us?

So this is in my top three vans. If you could get this on a Ford transit. It would be my number one.
I like this Class B and love the refrigerator and bathroom. It’s a great size! Thank you Matt and Becky!
I really love the Travato (both floor plans). I can't see many people being able to afford $1200 monthly payments though!

Thank you for the support ❤
I wish someone would put this same floorplan on a extended sprinter or transit.
Not wide enough nor boxy enough. Love sprinters over this for sure. But the Promaster is wide and boxy.
Love winnebago. If there is less window, I wish it was a sliding screen door instead of the roll-up screen.
These prices are completely detached from reality...

Becky's like- " look at the other person"! 🤜🏽
Also the ample seats up front and nice huge table.
Great video. Becky really knows this van from front to back!
So was that really a freezer on the bottom or just storage? Porcelain toilet, if not can you factory upgrade? I pretty much love it! I will be traveling single.
Yes it’s a freezer. No toilet upgrade from Winnebago, but our service center can install one for you.
Love it! Becky: this one, but maybe 2yrs old to keep the cost down??

Only thing I don't like about the van is to many windows. Thank you for the review, it was great.😊

Nice features for a B van. Priced a little high. Like the floor plan.

I can’t stress enough what a bad idea it is to hook your pet to any vehicle. It’s not that hard to find a different way.
Great video. Love the reviews Becky and Matt You are hilarious
No front step on the bumper?
A solar generator is a must have for long term camping.

The Bayside SS by Chinook is by far the best with it’s dry bath!
How this got to be the best selling class B is beyond me.
Bandaid, Becky
Wow, even Promaster Class B's out of reach for most.
I don't get why this is the best selling B van,i fell that there are nice ones out there.
Pretty sure it used to be because the Travato was cheap and widely available. Now? Well you're probably getting 40% off MSRP so without the volta option it's only around 120k.
I see Becky took a punch. 😢
I fell out of a Van!
How much of $220k is price margin?
Has to be close to 50% surely. B vans like this were selling new for under $100k only a couple of years ago.
@gooble69 absolutely. Pre pandemic this van (without lithium) would be under $100K.
This question is for matt or becky Does general r v sell grech class b Rv
Yes we do!
Is there any in Ocala Florida
Frankly, I rather buy the Grechen there around the same price range, and better amenities like that king size bed in the back
Not enough storage. Overnighter not a long stay van.
Some folks stay for weeks and at least one person I know has lived in his 59gl for five years.
Those second seat are cheap and hard to sit on....need 12 volt AC...no heat vent in the rear for sleeping....insulation is spotty.....cheap puck lights....they have that shallow sink in all their B vans.....best B bathroom...solo traveler...
Becky, sup wit your chin!
BECKYDACHIN
That awkward 69 😂
Crazy high MSRP - no wonder the industry is crashing.
A little long most of the people driving this thing will probably be closed to 5’10 lol😂 or above
Sorry but I think the KL version is better.
not good for the price😅😅😅,tooo tight driving seats
Only 170 thousand million dollars
Does not have ACC. I think none of the Winnebagos actually do this year
Yes this does have a roof mounted A/C!
LOL....ACC= Adaptive Cruise Control@@Becky_Milarch
Definitely didn’t read that correctly!
Ridiculously overpriced.
BIG DISLIKE: Can't use the bathroom at night when the bed is down! Sally sez so! Surprised Matt did not catch that. It's a deal killer.
Winnebago as always is low quality but is priced for the wealthy.
It's kind of funny that your sponsor is for a product that is not usable in this RV. Kind of useless since there are no slides!
Sponsor portion I agree. But who wants a slide in a van?
My only dislike 💩 position. Pee only toilet. I like everything else for a b class.
Becky looks real high mileage
Matt you didn’t need Becky she wasn’t as knowledgeable about the van
🤡🤡👈👈
Do you have to use the curtain to take a shower outside? Depending on the people showering you might get a few dollar bills. Matt in bed with Becky, where is Andrea?
