I remember as a kid, we were only able to eat fast food once every 6 months. I am Filipino and I've always had to eat whole foods. And I hated it, but my parent's mentality was to eat or starve. Thanks for these videos, they help people be thoughtful about what they put on their bodies. Just so you know, I am on my fitness journey, it's expensive and it requires lots of patience, but with these quality videos, it helps me keep myself consistent.
We didn't even really crave fastfood where I'm from, it was once every couple of months and even then it was for some special ocasion (birthday/school year ending). It's not good to say just no to your kids either, if you don't give them fastfood once or twice a year if they ask for it they will have some eating disorders down the line (the more its prohibited the more you crave it type of thing). It honestly disgusts me that there's parents that give their kids fastfood pretty much daily. You shouldn't have kids at that point. You don't have to be rich to give your kids some proper meals, one of the staple childhood foods where I'm from is a boiled egg that's mixed with some bread, french fries with sunny side eggs and cheese (real white cheese), fried peas with garlic etc. It costs less to make proper food for your child than fastfood. If you have kids but you won't spend an hour every couple of days to cook them some real nutritional food then your kids need to be taken away from you. Even just bread with tomatoes is better than daily fastfood. A whole chicken can feed a family for days, and it's the same price as just one fastfood order
Joe, you should 100% do a video on "takeaway" ready meals you buy in UK supermarkets... DECEPTIVELY high in calories. I got an indian takeaway box for 2 from M&S the other day, admittedly I ate 60-75% of it, but it came in at 2200 calories, making the portion for 1 person easily ~1375-1540 calories, blowing most of these US fast food restaurants out the water.
think you also should consider it was all just about one item, most people don't just order one burger comes with fries, sauce and maybe a milkshake easily dubbeling the calorie intake of just that 1200 calorie burger
