From what I have read, the owner (Ed Ellis) didn't have to shut down the operation but he did because he couldn't convince Warrington County to pay for his debts by buying a segment of track that was in an adjacent county. I read a quote that essentially said he was too cheap to fund operation properly. It's a shame. I live in Tennessee and back in the 90's a man who privately owned two short lines put everything he had into running an excursion train on one of the lines for several years until he absolutely couldn't afford to do it anymore. So I don't get why a mogul who has enough money to restore locomotives can't cough up a few dimes to keep his tourist line going. Oh well. At least the urbanites will get a nice hiking trail.
it is sitting in a spur on the HMCR currently. they own 3 more b39s but this one has not run once since it was acquired. it maybe be a parts unit but idk

RIP Saratoga and North Creek Railway

What will happen to the BL2? I know the B39-8E 8524 went to a short line in the south east if I remember.

robin hood is it still around to this day? I’m thinking about purchasing them both the 52 and 56 but haven’t seen either.
Tank cars gon, railroad out of business, and rails coming up soon if not already done. So sad. Another good rail operation gone from New York State.
Great video and location
Nice video, but a little sad too.
Any talks of anyone else buying the trackage to operate a railroad? What's gonna happen to all the tank cars they moved up north for storage?
NYS wants those cars removed. I believe there may be a plan to do that.
Cats01 I certainly hope someone is going to buy that Railroad I want to see those Delaware and Hudson schemes keep running
The line is currently owned by warren county and they are looking for proposals
@@patmeaden good I hope everything works out
