double bass vs bass guitar - can you play double bass on a rock or pop gig?

When you’re living a double life on the bass guitar and double bass, you’ve got to think about the types of gigs that you’d play on double bass - would you do a rock/pop gig on the double bass? That’s a great question and one that’s worth considering. Expectations around genres can be restrictive, but there may be some validity in them too. Are we going to let that hold us back?
