Check for pressure in the upper radiator hose when the truck is cold. If that hose is rock solid you have a blown head gasket, hope that helps some!!
I think you should color match the grille. Just leave the bumpers chrome. I think it would look sharp. 🤘🏻🇺🇸
I agree it's too much chrome in one area.
well the 5.9 inline 6 can use a baffeled off cranck case and blown through the valves. it can run klotze 2 stroke oil injected into the inttake with vro and so it resembles an poppet valved 2 stroke on klotz mixed with diesel for total loss, cummins can be made into a mean 2 stroke

I like the chrome but that blue will be a very hard color to color match in my opinion. Plus I agree it’d be too much blue

A solid 2 Step Compound/Polish with a nice Ceramic Coating will make that paint glow like the sun.
I love the idea for the Cummins but please make sure it still can tow the amount of weight that it can now or more. Please put bed liner in bed

For the Cummins, may I suggest color matching the door and tailgate handles as well as the mirror arms with chrome caps on the mirrors themselves
The enthusiasm that comes out right when you start a video along with the cool builds is something that makes your channel my favorite!
I think the chrome goes good with the wheels
Well you have all those metal rad hoses which makes the cooling system more ridgid since the rubber would usually expand when you hurt a head gasket on our trucks so now it's trying to find the weakest link in the cooling system and leak any compression from combustion out of the system... headgaskets are just starting to go time to break down and pull the heads have them planed and valve done and stud the block and bolt the heads down with type c gaskets and then pour the coal to it
I've had that same fitting brake on 2 different trucks while going down the road glade you where about to find that. Currently still have my hose looped across to bypass the heater core 😂😂
I have basically the same exact truck except mines a 6.7 and was considering color matching also, but for now it will stay chrome... also all emblems etc off it and does looks a lot better that way.
Damn that dodge is super sweet. I have a 2019 Bighorn. But would much rather have the Cummins. Looking forward to the build.
Those 99-07 trucks are NOTORIOUS for those stupid plastic connection points breaking. I had a 99 1/2 ton let loose in traffic one day for no reason. They are a booger to get out but just hose clamp the stock lines onto the flared metal tubes of the heater core once they're removed. I absolutely would not put the factory style quick connect/snap connect style fittings they are completely un-needed.
I’m all in when the 5.9 goes up for giveaway. Those rims are gonna have to go though.

Been watching for awhile now, live a little bit north in Williamsport and have an lbz day cab too. Another way to check head gaskets is if you can crush the upper radiator hose with your hand on idle you’re head gaskets are fine. If it’s puffed up and hard to squish like a thick ballon it’s time to look at head gaskets. Nice trucks hope to get mine like the mini max soon!
I wouldn’t color match anything, just keep it the way it is. Dodge did a good job of that stuff.

Color match the door handles and mirrors, leave the bumpers chrome. Maybe do something with the grill but for sure needs the black color matched

Please tell us you are ditching the black door handles for color matched ones, but leaving the mirrors black and the bumpers chrome.
Take the headlights apart and color match the inside of them
Then do mirrors and grill.
Leave the rest chrome

that blue looks perfect i would keep it exactly how it is dont do any color matching at all the chrome works perfectly jack.
Same thing happened to my LBZ. Over the winter they got a cold drip but looked like it was leaking out of the head at first.
Your HGs are seeping for sure. Excessive pressure in the cooling system from blown HGs causes coolant leaks
I agree with your statement about color matching, BUT, I think the door handles and tailgate handle should be body colored. The bumpers are fine in chrome. I’m really digging the change in content from the Duramax stuff. OBS 7.3 build next???!!!!! 😬

This truck looks awesome! Performance wise, I’d say build the trans, bigger injectors, turbo, head studs
Keep the Chrome parts chrome, but color match all the black, like the door handles, mirrors, bed latch and front bumper lip.
Just pop those fittings off the heater core to the metal ends and hose clamp the heater hose to that metal end directly, the factory style ends will just fail again

Only paint match door handles since there’s no more black
Do a Laramie front bumper leave the rear bumper chrome and do a Laramie grille and get rid of the orange reflectors in the headlights
Get the chrome paint matched to black would be a great contrast with the blue
My duramax blew that fitting off while I was driving just take the quick coupler off and put a hose straight on it with a worm gear hose clamp
So having both the Duramax & Cummins what one is the better one ?
Very very common for those fittings to break. Mine broke and had to go buy new ones

Laramie Front Bumper color matched with chrome center. If I can do it you definitely can did mine grey with center black looks sweet!
I think you should make the Cummins super off-road. Like 5 light bars, big off-road tires, skid plated, tire rack things. That would be sweet

You can put a u shaped elbow and bypass it if the heater core is bad.

Oh yeah that damn heater hose connector. I’m sure you might know by now but that’s a common problem on these trucks. I just had the same thing happen with my 03 Silverado around the end of winter, but your lucky lol mine broke while I was driving the girlfriend to class! Sitting in traffic and steam started rolling out from under the hood, gave me a mini heart attack I thought something was seriously wrong! Anyways long story short it SUCKED, basically after about 10 minutes the truck started to overheat slightly and I didn’t want to take any chances so ended up having to push the truck 1/2 mile to the closest store where I got a few gallons of water to mix with the coolant I LUCKILY had in my toolbox to refill the cooling system. Before I refilled it though i screwed around with the heater hose for a good 20 minutes getting the broken fitting out and then connecting that end to where the heater core outlet hose connects on the water pump, bypassing the heater core so I could fill it back up and drive home without loosing anymore coolant. It was quite the pain In my f-ing a$$, not to mention I had to drive 40 miles after this with NO heat whatsoever.. & it was about 29 outside if that.. when I got to the parts store I made sure to get a spare connector lol.. When you replace it make sure to get the black connector! The white one is the old problematic style that will basically soften as it ages until it falls apart.

My LMM just got the head gaskets redone! Mine blew the gasket right at the back of the head at cylinder 7!

I had the same problem with my 2000 Silverado heater core twice. but instead of it dripping it just exploded on me while driving lol

Never pull moldings off - how you lose paint - get fishing line and cut
fishing line & not to forget to put a lil bit of heat from a heat gun on what ever moldings or lettering or etc,. as well............
I wish I had the money you spend in a month. Nice trucks 👍. When I pulled my molding off it pulled the paint of the driver door. I was so pissed.
