Hi Friends! How many of the 24 movies I mention have YOU seen? Let me know! And yes, I am the WORLD'S WORST match lighter. I didn't edit that part out, though I almost did. I figured you all need to see that LIFE is like a match sometimes - something you just have to keep at in order to succeed! Or that I'm just a goober. You pick. 😁 🥰 xo J
I would love to respond with the number of movies I’ve seen off of your list, but that’s an impossibly at this point. Frankly, I’ve now played this video 7 times, and I fell asleep each time a few minutes into it. I’ve seen you fidget with your matches a couple of times though. 😂 I want to say this video is the reason I put on ASMR. It’s the perfect combination of quiet talking and crunchy noises. I don’t watch ASMR to get “tingles”. I watch because I have terrible insomnia. ASMR can help me get into a relaxed restful place; which is important when I average about 2 nonconsecutive hours each night. I want to say thank you because this video has relaxed me so much over the last 2 nights that I’ve fallen asleep with each view. Unfortunately, I don’t stay asleep for long after the video is over, but by restarting it was right back to dreamland. I haven’t had this much sleep in a very long time. Thanks again for sharing this video.
@@jenhildebrandt8772 I’m so glad the videos help a bit and you can fall asleep. Now…to keep you asleep. 🤔 I appreciate you and thank you for sharing this. ♥️♥️♥️
I’m praying for your son, I struggle with Crohn’s disease myself, and it’s one heck of a challenge, but he will be okay, he’s very strong! And I hope all is well for him, you, and your family. Sending love ❤
Oh gosh - I'm sorry. This can be such a rotten struggle at times, I know. Thank you so much for your kind words and prayers. I truly appreciate them. 💝

Gosh - we love the hardware store! It's hard to describe to people! When we have guests staying with us, we usually end up in P'ville and taking them to that store! Are you snowed in? Thank you so much, Kirsten! I truly appreciate this. I was just showing my husband your channel a couple of days ago (and he isn't one to watch many YT videos unless it's a repair tutorial or something to do with aviation!) and we so enjoyed watching/listening to both you and dear Joerg! I told him that we're going to up and move to England and fix up a nice cottage. He gave me the wonky side-eye! Lol! So I guess I'm going to live vicariously through you. ;) So glad to "meet" you! I feel so comforted by your videos. I really feel like we have known each other for years even though we haven't. I truly appreciate you and all the love and energy you put into your content. You make a difference to so many of us and mean so much.
Jeannie, you look radiant in this video! I don't know if it's the lighting or your make-up but it really makes your eyes look sparkling 😊✨ And thank you for this relaxing whisper video! I have a few busy but also exciting weeks coming up, so this is just the type of calm energy I needed ❤
Wishing your son all the best. My daughter is unfortunately very poorly with ulcerative colitis and chronic arthritis. I nearly lost her at 15 years to toxic megacolon, she pulled through but had all her large bowel removed and her rectum. She’s now on a treatment that’s chemotherapy to try and prevent her becoming completely disabled by 40, so I know exactly how your son is struggling and how you are as a mother. On a separate note, I’m definitely going to invest in the tortilla wrap warmer! As for the films you like, your a lady after my own heart, especially the Monty Python films 😂. Blazing saddles and Christmas Vacation are my favourites! So funny 🤣 I’m so glad your video was recommended in my feed. I’m now a new subscriber. You are a very attractive lady, your beauty is really mesmerising. This video is really soothing, you’re fab at ASMR 👍. Thank you for all you do to help us anxious none sleepers like me ❤x
This was so touching to read. Wow - I’m so glad your daughter is able to get good treatment. It’s a daily struggle for my son. 😑 And yes - great movies! I’m so glad you’re here!
I'm 36 and I LOVE 'Blazing Saddles'. It was one of my Dad's all time favorites. A lot of your favorites are mine as well, especially 'Dances with Wolves'.
I'll have to watch this in sections bc there's no way I'll get through the list of movies without passing out. You also never fail to make me laugh, celebrating ourselves and our quirks and little struggles, even with matches 💕 thank you for this, and good night part 1!
@@JeannieBASMR truly makes your soul so endearing! And I'm back for attempt #2 trying not to pass out on the list! I'll start 5mins further in each time but i hate skipping the match lighting... 😂 Crackling candles are a nice touch. Ahhhhhhhh i just love your whisper so much 🥰😴
Thank you for you recommendations...I've seen quite a few. Down with the flu but you made it better. I kept falling asleep and rewinding but managed to get through. Bless your son.
Sending positive energy into the universe for your son, dear lady. On a side note the match lighting part was adorable. Sending all my love to you and your family.
22/24! Babette's Feast is one of my all-time favorites. I watch it every 1+ years and I find that dubbing English (I normally just put on subtitles) works nicely with the Danish dialogue. I agree with your opinion about Pan's Labyrinth (amazing film yet disturbing). Congrats on 60K! Your videos are top-notch. 🥰
Thank you for this, Samantha! So glad to hear you feel the same way about PL - amazing, yet disturbing. And Babettes Feast - haven't seen it in a couple of years. I think we need to see it soon!
Glad you like them! I do a combination and I’m glad you enjoy the longer ones! I often second guess myself wondering if my ramble will become too boring. But I guess in ASMR that’s a good thing.
@@JeannieBASMR I’m a delivery driver so when I have panic attacks, I go to your page & choose the longest one! You’ve really changed the game and inspired me to stop being so ‘stuck’ if you will.
Thank you for you're videos,I find them all very comforting. You have such a positive vibe and it's helping me get through some tough issues . I have been diagnosed with severe anxiety and ptsd. As I am the grand old age of 55 I can relate to the film's ,especially python and wow, blazing saddles ! The campfire scene ! I look forward to watching more of you, good health and happiness to you and your family. Love from the UK .
You're not the only one who wishes they had made another Home Fires! I remember when it got cancelled back when it was first on the telly, and it was such a bizarre decision given how popular it was. As you say, it was really unfortunate to leave us hanging on such a cliff hanger. Such a good series, so fingers crossed they revive it at some point :)
Sending lots of light and love to your sond and your whole family! I really hope he feels better soon❤️ thank you for another fantastic video! You look stunning as always and just radiate elegant grace 😍✨
Hi Jeannie, This was a great video idea! We share so many movie favorites. I love the whispers. I'm sure it can be challenging to speak for so long in a whispered tone, but thank you. Surprisingly, I hadn't seen this video from you yet even though it is showing as 2 years old. My plan for some of today includes resting and relaxing with some true ASMR ❤
Wow! I usually don't really like whispers but I wanted to hear which movies you liked... and for the first time, I got instant tingles from whispers! So funny 😄 Loooove the comforting mood you create in all your videos, I really needed it 💕
Awesome! Thank you! I haven't normally been a "whisper person" either. But sometimes I'll hear one that works for me. Glad this does for you as well, dear Marie! Thanks for trying it out! XO J
jeannie i truly appreciate the fact that I found your channel :,) I’ve been having a couple of rough days (physically and mentally) and you feel like an oasis!!
I love the crackle of the candle just off screen - sounds like heavy rain dripping off a gutter. 😊😴 Until you got to foreign films, I'd seen ALL the movies you mentioned! I'm probably closest to your youngest kid's age, but my mom was pretty thorough in my film education growing up, making sure I didn't miss all the great films from her growing up and young adulthood. Some really great ones, I see why they're your favorites. ☺️ Pan's Labyrinth is such a bittersweet movie memory for me - my dad invited me to see it with him in theaters when it came out, but at the time as a young teen I thought it looked a bit weird and wasn't familiar with watching subtitled foreign films, so I decided not to go. A few months later, my dad unexpectedly passed away. Having seen it now, I really wish I'd gone with him and had a chance to talk all about it. It's such an interesting and visually incredible film with a lot to unpack, and I know my dad and I could've had great conversation about it. Even if it had been terrible, I wish I'd gone with him just to spend some time together. Now that movie serves as a reminder to take every moment I can with my loved ones, no matter what the time is spent doing. It's also a movie that's just right up my alley with all the creepy and disturbing bits, lol! I'm a BIG fan of creepy and horror media that explores big questions of human experience and fears. Thank you so much for sharing, it's so lovely to feel like I'm having a little chat to start my morning with some coffee and soothing quiet time 😊🥰 Lots of love to you and your family, I hope your son's symptoms improve soon!
Thank you for the great message! And yes, sometimes we wish we had done something we didn’t take the opportunity to do. We’ve all done that. And that’s how we learn and grow in life. I love that you see the importance of appreciating loved ones. That’s awesome.
Jeannie! I learned so much about your personality through these movie choices! THE JERK is my absolute FAVORITE! I’m in my 30’s and my dad definitely taught me to appreciate Steve Martin’s ridiculously strange humor 😅
Hello lovely Jeannie! First of all: sending best well-wishes to your son. One of my good friends has the same condition and also goes through waves where it can be debilitating. Hoping his condition stabilises sooner rather than later. On a happier note massive congratulations on breaking the 60K subscriber mark! I didn’t realise you’d grown so much as I’ve not been on the channel for a while as I’ve been so busy with my work as Cabin Crew. I’m sure you’ll know how it is with your husband working in the aviation industry for many years! I’m back in the UK for 2 weeks before coming over to the US for another round of trips, so I’m spending my time catching up on all my favourite ASMR channels. It’s so lovely to see you like and respond to the many comments you now receive. Sending all well wishes to you and your family and hope that your channel continues to receive the growth it deserves! ❤
Hi Kyle! Thank you for this wonderful message! It was so heartwarming to read! And yes, I know the crazy schedules of flight crews! All I can say about that is “seniority rocks!” Right?! Lol! I appreciate your encouraging words so much. Thanks again, dear Kyle.
Wonderful video, so relaxing. The masks and embroidery thread are my faves - super crinkly sounds. I’ve watched quite a few of your fave films Jeannie - so funny you mentioned Monty Python - so silly but hilarious. As a Brit, I love that you watch some of our dramas too. Yes please, part 2 would be great. Love and light to you and your son ❤
Dear Jeannie, I watched Pan's labyrinth and it deeply moved me, I had to cry in the end ... along with Life is beautiful and Dancer in the Dark the movie that had the biggest impact on me - the history behind the grotesque fantastic images is even more terrifying. Scandinavian films are awesome, love the dark humour: there are so many great movies out there beyond the blockbusters. By the way, I always wanted to tell you how wonderful you and your channel are, Maria, Rebecca and you are my all time favs. Thanks for your commitment, your lovely personality that shines through your videos ,your open- mindedness towards different cultures and for sharing your life with us.I wish your son all the best - I hope he will be better soon ♥️ ...morbus Crohn is a bugger but hopefully there will be a treatment or cure for it in the near fortune. This is one of my favorite videos! I really appreciate your movie recommendations-particularly the foreign films (Babette's Feast 🎉).Additionally, I often return to this video when I have difficulty getting to sleep-for example last night. Thanks so much for the calming presence that you are providing. Moving is one of my least favorite things to do- I hope that everything goes well for you and your family-including your 🐈🐕! 😊

I adore your channel Jeannie! Thank you for being here. I especially love your whisper videos and I hope you add more from time to time. FYI I used to spend time as a teenager in Placerville occasionally working for my Aunt and Uncle at their record shop...Nancie’s Records! They’ve been retired for some time now, but when you mentioned Placerville it brought me back to some great teenage memories. Hugs to you! 🤗💜

Also Momma J…. I loved, loved, loved this one. I am going to watch some of the foreign movies you listed. And OverBoard is amazing. I watch it every time I see it on :)
I love listening to your videos. My sister and I laughed so much about the lighting of the matches at the beginning! 😂We both struggle immensely with lighting matches! You did better than both of us! We also identified with the “lost cup of tea!” 😂🤣 I cannot tell you how often that I have set down my coffee or tea and gotten busy and “lost” it somewhere!🤣. Most importantly, I want to let you know that we will be praying for your son. He had a remission for a few years. But it came back worse than ever. I'm so glad you've found something that works. He is still trying to find something that will. Hugs to you!!!
Great video! I like a lot of the sames films. If you like dark comedies there is a Danish film from the early 2000's you'd probably enjoy called the Green Butchers. The Jerk is one of my all time favorites. I used to quote lines from it and Caddyshack all the time. 😂
We are far away Jeannie , we come from different countries but all these experiences of pain , suffering , dying , crying in life tragedies remind us that we are the same , regardless of all of our differences that most world goverments like to emphasize to make us think we are all apart and disconnected from one another but we are not! , We are just one energy in the form of a temporary body , I love to keep listening to you and know you more it's like entering in a little window's world of calmness and lovely atmosphere . Lol! So I guess I'm going to live vicariously through you. ;)
So glad to "meet" you!

@@JeannieBASMR Thank you so much, that's so kind! Hahah, LOVE this. Please say hello to your hubby.xx
Thank you Jeannie for treating us with your calming whispers) you are so nice and charming ✨
♥️♥️♥️🥰
Monty python is hysterical!
I feel so comforted by your videos. I really feel like we have known each other for years even though we haven't. I truly appreciate you and all the love and energy you put into your content.
You make a difference to so many of us and mean so much.
This is so sweet to read as I wake up and sip my coffee! Thank you so much!
I’ve seen 22 and agree about Outlander. It fizzled out for me too. Thank you for a lovely video. I’m ready for days of movie watching!
A candle tapping or tapping on objects while whispering for part 2 would be amazing!
I ADORE Pretty Woman. I watched it at 30 finally, but I watched it like 10 times so I made up for lost time. 💕 Julia Roberts is just so REAL!
🥰🌸👍🏼
@@JeannieBASMR ❤️💕🥰
Jeannie, you look radiant in this video! I don't know if it's the lighting or your make-up but it really makes your eyes look sparkling 😊✨ And thank you for this relaxing whisper video! I have a few busy but also exciting weeks coming up, so this is just the type of calm energy I needed ❤
Thank you so much! Hang in there, shrimp!
The matches debacle is a perfect example of why I love you!
🥰♥️
That W.W. is a wood wick candle!
Praying for your son and also, thank you so much for the gift of such an enjoyable video. I love your content!
Aha! Thank you for that info. I didn’t know that when I bought it.
Thank you for always being such kind energy, Jennifer.
Your taste in movies is so refined! 👌😍 My parents showed me all those foreign films growing up, I love them too!
Awesome!
So funny 🤣
I’m so glad your video was recommended in my feed.
And yes - great movies!
I’m so glad you’re here!
I'm 36 and I LOVE 'Blazing Saddles'. It was one of my Dad's all time favorites. A lot of your favorites are mine as well, especially 'Dances with Wolves'.
Thank you for your kind words, your whispers and the time and effort you put into your videos. They bring me and so many others so much comfort. ❤️
Thank you for this! 🥰♥️♥️
@@JeannieBASMR of course ❤️
I'll have to watch this in sections bc there's no way I'll get through the list of movies without passing out. You also never fail to make me laugh, celebrating ourselves and our quirks and little struggles, even with matches 💕 thank you for this, and good night part 1!
My quirks are too numerous...you'll start to see this! Lol! Hugs, darling!
@@JeannieBASMR truly makes your soul so endearing! And I'm back for attempt #2 trying not to pass out on the list! I'll start 5mins further in each time but i hate skipping the match lighting... 😂 Crackling candles are a nice touch. Ahhhhhhhh i just love your whisper so much 🥰😴
Congratulations on 60 K!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 You look really Pretty Friend 🥰🥰🥰 plus Love Your Cozy House 🏡 I will keep Your son in my prayers 🙏🙏🙏
Oh, thank you, sweet friend! I appreciate this so much. Hugs to you, Lori! ♥️
I remember watching Life Is Beautiful in my English class last year, tears were definitely shed!
I've seen 10 of the 24 movies you listed. I'll probably check out some I haven't. I love movies, so I'm glad you talked about your favorites.
Love that you enjoy good cinema 🥰 Thank you for sharing Jeannie B.
🥰
Thank you for you recommendations...I've seen quite a few. Down with the flu but you made it better. I kept falling asleep and rewinding but managed to get through. Bless your son.
Get well, Edie! Hugs to you!!
Sending positive energy into the universe for your son, dear lady. On a side note the match lighting part was adorable. Sending all my love to you and your family.
🥰 Thank you! 🔥
You create such a relaxing atmosphere!
Such a wholesome and peaceful channel. Loved this 💗
Awesome! Thank you!
You're very pretty! And the crinkles are great. Prayers and best wishes to your son.
Just wanted to say I REALLY appreciate when you create these longer videos🧡
Glad you like them! I do a combination and I’m glad you enjoy the longer ones! I often second guess myself wondering if my ramble will become too boring. But I guess in ASMR that’s a good thing.
@@JeannieBASMR I’m a delivery driver so when I have panic attacks, I go to your page & choose the longest one! You’ve really changed the game and inspired me to stop being so ‘stuck’ if you will.
Your videos are so comforting! Good thoughts for your son. Crohn's is a rollercoaster. 💗
Oh! By your name I would bet you know this too well. 🫤 Hugs to you!
Those wood wick candles are always so cool since they crackle
I was afraid it was going to be too loud on the video. Turned out to be ok. ;)
All done with class, now time to relax with Jeannie 🥰
I just love your YT name! Lol!
Prayers for your son, hopefully it all works out in the end.
Hi Kevin - thank. you for this lovely message. I hope the videos continue to bring you just a bit of peace!! XOX
Right?! Why did they do that! It was such a great program!
Sending lots of light and love to your sond and your whole family! I really hope he feels better soon❤️ thank you for another fantastic video! You look stunning as always and just radiate elegant grace 😍✨
Thank you, dear Ella!
Hi Jeannie,
This was a great video idea!
I am so glad that you liked it! It’s always fun to see my “old” videos pop up 😊
2:24 … ➡️ why we love her so much 😄💚
Lol!
Ooo three seconds in and I’m already loving it. Definitely going to listen to this before going to sleep 🥰

I've seen almost all the movies you mentioned and love them!
Whispers, crinkles AND movie recommendations? It doesn't get better than this! 😊 Also, "keep going" - so simple yet so profound, how well put. 😊
Thank you! ♥️
jeannie i truly appreciate the fact that I found your channel :,) I’ve been having a couple of rough days (physically and mentally) and you feel like an oasis!!
Thank you so much, Mariela. I hope things ease up for you! Sending you a hug! ♥️
I love the crackle of the candle just off screen - sounds like heavy rain dripping off a gutter. 😊😴
Until you got to foreign films, I'd seen ALL the movies you mentioned! I'm probably closest to your youngest kid's age, but my mom was pretty thorough in my film education growing up, making sure I didn't miss all the great films from her growing up and young adulthood. Some really great ones, I see why they're your favorites. ☺️
Pan's Labyrinth is such a bittersweet movie memory for me - my dad invited me to see it with him in theaters when it came out, but at the time as a young teen I thought it looked a bit weird and wasn't familiar with watching subtitled foreign films, so I decided not to go.
Thank you so much for sharing, it's so lovely to feel like I'm having a little chat to start my morning with some coffee and soothing quiet time 😊🥰
Lots of love to you and your family, I hope your son's symptoms improve soon!
I love that you "get it!" Lol! XOX
Greetings and hugs from Germany!😍 PS: Monty Python rocks, The life of Brian was my teenager's life delight!
Thank you so much for this! It truly means a lot to me to read this! 🇩🇪 ❤️
I loved monty python. I watched it with my dad
Thank you so much, Sarah!!

I love the crackling candle from the beginning!❤️
Yes Jeannie!! I feel the same about Outlander. Just cannot get into S5 😢 Love your videos.. Thanks for helping me sleep ❤
Yeah, it became so…contrived. Thank you for being here! 🥰
My brother has crohn’s and pretty much all we do is worry/stress out over him.
It’s nice to hear that someone else knows what it’s like to watch someone struggle with the disease.
It’s so rough for all - the afflicted as well as those who love them. ♥️♥️♥️
That is so cool! Thanks for sharing that, Gina!
Love your taste in films, my own favourite is A Tree Grows In Brooklyn , it gets me every time, the little girl in that Peggy Ann Garner is outstanding and received a special oscar.
All the best to you Jeannie and congratulations on 60, 000 you so deserve it and more.X
Yes! I love that movie, too!! Thank you for your support. It means so much to me!

Wow, this is my favorite asmr video ever 😍 the tortilla warmers gave me tingles all over my spine!
I have Crohns. It’s a booger. I pray he is much better. Thank you for your channel ❤️❤️
Aw, it definitely is a booger! He has started a new biologic that we are hoping helps kick him into remission. My very best to you, dear Shawna. ♥️
Also Momma J…. I loved, loved, loved this one. I am going to watch some of the foreign movies you listed. And OverBoard is amazing. I watch it every time I see it on :)
Finding this channel has been a real treasure ✨
I’m so glad, Alexander. 🥰
I know it is so difficult for you as well because as we all know., seeing your kids in pain is far greater than any pain that you could endure yourself. Thank you so much for your beautiful and thoughtful content. You are a blessing. Take care and God Bless. 💕💕🦋🙏
Thank you so much for this, Cheryl! And hi to your sister as well!

He had a remission for a few years. But it came back worse than ever. I'm so glad you've found something that works. He is still trying to find something that will. Hugs to you!!!
Your fully whispered videos are my favorite!❤️
Oh thank you!
Hope your son gets better soon🙏Love the background Jeannie. So exited for this video👏.
Sending love from The Netherlands😘
Thank you so much, Wendy! Hugs back to you!!
I wish your son could get better and have more strenght to keep enjoying this life , He has for sure a marvellous mother .
PS : I can totally relate with your challenge trying to light the match ! Sometimes it seems impossible 😂😂
Thank you for a most beautiful message!! This really touched me!
I’ve been waiting for a whispers only video from you! Thank you. Love all your work, you’re amazing and sending prayers that your son feels better soon. C
Thank you so much, Caroline. This means a lot.
100% agree on your opinion of Pan's Labyrinth. We kept waiting for it to turn around and it just got darker and darker. Well shot but beyond disturbing
