Putting trash in metal bins keeps the wild animals tearing up the trash bags looking for food scraps. The lock is just reassurance to keep the door closed because some of these animals are smart to open things especially trash cans with lids.

This was an awesome lawn care vlog, Fill. Once again. Alongside you and your wife. It’s nice to get out of town, and visit places from other states to get the full experience. And that metal bin was to prevent wild animals tearing those trash bags up, cause those animals are very smart to open things up. The Airbnb hosts who put that metal bin out there are clever for keeping the trash bag safe, locked, and secured. Would’ve done the same thing if I was a host. Can’t wait for more vids 🔜.

Just got back to WA after spending the winter in Henderson, NV. First time we’ve done that. Some of the video looked VERY familiar. Not very many lawns in southern Nevada. There landscaping generally uses leaf blowers. Just blowing a few leaves out of all the rocks. 😁
Glad you and your wife worked as a team. Fun to see you having enjoyment from the warm temperatures in winter. That first house looked nice and neat, a treat for all. Second house looked good as well. (Chuckle, the third house done and not shown.) Thank you for the beach views. Getting up to leave before traffic started was a very sound idea. (Fresno is a hot place in summer I think.) Might have bandaided the equipment bags with duck tape until home.... That was interesting that you arranged for a washing place for your equipment on a normal basis.

Very interesting. I lived in California for 4 years many years ago. Carlsbad, Fallbrook and Oceanside areas. It is a different world out there. I hate round a bouts! Dumbest thing ever invented. You sit longer than you would while waiting for an opening than you would at a light! You are right, the views are breath taking but I could not wait to leave after 4 years. I needed to see the four seasons again. I didn't like having cook outs with the neighbors on Christmas! Locking trash bin is probably to prevent bears from getting to it. Lots of wild critters out there. Now go wash your truck! 😃

I really loved the views and palm trees. I was born in California and spent my first 8 years there. That was 60 years ago. Now I'm in Wisconsin facing another winter storm warning. How did this happen? Oh, yeah. Stupid parents. 😂😂😂

YEP..Im here in California by Knotts Berry Farm, and YES our CALIFORNIA DRIVERS ARE CRAZY!!!! Just be glad you were NOT out here if it really started to rain😮 and YES they will STEAL YOU BLIND OUT HERE. Glad you got to see some of the sights, and usually out here, IF you don't keep up your lawn the city is usually knocking at your door with a ticket or some kind of citation. SO glad you both made it home safely, bet your glad to be home...lol..can't wait to see more of your videos.🎉😊

Dumpster diving is very common all over California and most businesses won’t have it. Also bears and wild cats to name a few.

Born and raised in California, bought our first house in North Long Beach (Spanish stucco, similar to the first one you did)! Retired to PA 8 years ago and do not miss California at all! You’re lucky your equipment wasn’t stolen! Beautiful yards, great job!
My husband and I are in our 60s and 80s and own a corner lot and we use a push mower to do the grass

Yeh, my area loves the roundabouts...some are 1 lane many are 2. Guess it saves them electric bills for street lights, but MAN, sometimes you'd have a better chance to move with the light! Glad you got to do some sight-seeing and enjoying the scenic sights. Spring WILL get to Oregon, soon
The one good thing about California is you can mow just about all year around so we welcome you fill try coming to the bay area san Francisco we have plenty of nice places here

I know most of the places you stopped 😊. I grew up near San Francisco, spent holidays in Fresno and vacations in Southern California. Moved to Eugene, OR in 2000 and near Seattle in 2005. I miss the weather and the views,but taxes and idiotic laws make me unlikely to return. Locks on garbage are for bears…..

Just an FYI. I'm in Davie Florida, west side of Fort Lauderdale Florida. Lawn service was functioning across the street, quiet dead end street. A van pulled up alongside the lawn care trailer, 2 guys got out and offloaded all the guys equipment into the van and took off. We have it on our security camera, but the equipment is gone! Locked up guys, or have strong easy to use insurance 😎😎😎 I told my family about me watching Fill with all his equipment just sitting out there. It feels bad inside to witness crap like this.
I was thinking the same thing about how quickly his equipment could grow wings. There was so much theft when I lived in California. People want to make a quick buck. I had my car broken into when I was flying out of SFO. They broke two of my windows and took my most important bags. Lost so much and my passport. Ugh!

Hey man. I’ve been a landscaper in LA for 15 plus years and let me tell you it doesn’t matter what security system you wanna put on your bed. These thieves will take anything and everything! I’ve heard of whole vans and trucks being stolen to never be found again. Worst part is the police department doesn’t do anything about it. Every day it’s a gamble.
Never go to California for that many days.There lots to see.Have fun.There big time thrives big time.
