- Preface - This video was actually the 2nd video we did 5 years ago but it was done without explaining our steps in full detail. We wanted also to film it better for everyone to see the proper cutting angles of the avocado. We hope you like it more than the original.
Dragon Rolls are quite popular all around the US but they also come differently; some places use BBQ eel inside or on top. We use shrimp tempura inside and top it off with thinly sliced avocado.
In today's recipe we show you how easy it is to make this dish but that's because we have everything ready to go. It's something you can certainly do at home so give it a try! Let us know how your Dragon Roll turned out!

About Master Sushi Chef Hiroyuki Terada:
Master Sushi Chef Hiroyuki Terada is one of the top Japanese Chefs in the entire world and the most popular Japanese chef on TH-cam.
At age 10, Terada learned the basics of sushi from his father and then went on to attend RKC Chef's School in Kochi, Japan from 1987-1989. He soon earned a nickname for his fast knife, attention to detail, divine presentation and ability to create new dishes and accents based on traditional Japanese cuisine. After graduating RKC Chef School, he was called to serve under Master Chef Kondo at Yuzuan restaurant in Kochi, Japan from 1989-1992. Mr. Kondo is the master of Kansai style cooking, considered to be the high-end of Japanese cuisine. Chef Hiroyuki Terada is using the Minonokuni Matsu-1573 210mm Yanagi. Super Blue Steel. Can also be used for breaking down whole fish and chickens. But normally for slicing, sashimi, vegetables, meat etc.. This is Chef Hiro's custom specked knife.

***** where I live all avocados are refrigerated so if you bring them home you have to time it really well and I constantly fail

Yesterday i've had sooo much Sushi in a All-you-can-eat-Restaurant and it was delicious. Today i see once again a Video of you and can't stop thinking of eating Sushi.... It's like i wil never have enough of it, never get sick of it.

You make everything look so delicious and beautifully presented on a plate. Just like my Dad when he was a Chef. He use to take great care when making our meals and presenting them on a plate. My Mother too is a wonderful cook. My Mum Elizabeth cooks Spanish food. love always
Great job as always! :) i have to try this one out. I usually make what I like to call a red dragon roll which is similar to this. Same thing pretty much, I just use spicy shrimp tempura and cucumber and avocado on the inside and the on the outside tuna and avocado and I finish it off with some spicy sauce or eel sauce depending on my mood lol :)
can we get recipes for ginger sauce/ spicy mayo etc?

i think i would only be able to try the salmon or tuna and the urchin maybe. Also i dont think i cou;ld eat whoel bite. portions are too big.

Wow, at first while watching I thought "Man, this looks so simple. I COULD TOTALLY DO THAT" But then Terada-san whipped out the avocado and sliced it super thin and then blew my mind with the presentation.

Dragon Rolls seem to change with the region. When I moved to Florida, they were very different than in NY. In NY they're an eel roll with avocado on top.

I mean they're a bunch of made up rolls with made up names anyway. Same idea as American Pizza, they just started giving things names and some of the ingredients became associated with the names but it does change from store to store.
