Well the best advice I can give ya is to look up some "shoot" interviews with Pro Wrestlers wherein they break character. Look into Jim Cornette's podcast wherein he talks about some that he's worked with or others that have worked with a him or a her. Some of them led addictive lives such as former addict Jake Roberts whom isn't the angel that he portrays himself to be. Others, while hated behind the scenes such as The Ultimate Warrior (the late great Jim Hellwig) mainly used their brief uber popularity as a means to an end to become much richer then you might have presumed. Some like Ric Flair I believe _LOVE_ their celebrity status and _STILL_ wanna wrestle as opposed to retire. Almost as if they have a death wish to die in the ring. Some like others all are over social media giving their opinion, rather Blue or Red. Others seem kind, down to earth plus oddly adore their fans. I mean I'm not even a John Cena fan but hasn't he granted over 5,000 "Make a Wish Foundation" dreams? Check it out. So it all depends on the athlete. On his podcast The Undertaker (real name Mark Calloway) seems like a cool Houston, Texas based dude that enjoyed his travels & overly long career. Others seem _FAR_ too burned out traveling North America, Europe & Japan on overly long tour dates though, and seem to have their pills & alcohol addictions that screwed them for live in between surgeries though. So I guess its a give & take on a person to person basis? 🤔
How does one even muster the energy to care about the outcome when the people who are at each other's throats in conflict are so obviously some of the worst, most shallow, greedy and disgusting people on the planet?

I don't doubt that Vince McMahon is a depraved and horrible person. Vince is a visionary and an whacko. Even in the 90’s, as a kid, when I’d see him talking normally in an interview it was jarring. Left me feeling like there was still something ELSE lurking there that we weren’t really seeing. The only time I ever felt a little sorry for him was after Owen Hart’s death, when he was blamed for it (it was an accident.) The only time I ever felt he was speaking genuinely (maybe because he was legitimately horrified) is when he addressed Chris Benoit’s death the next day. After everyone found out what he did.
Fairly accurate background, other than the longstanding claim that wrestling crowds post 1984 increased dramatically. Although his business had especially strong periods (late 90's/early 00's, in particular) the pre-expansion crowds were generally on par with what the WWF was able to draw after going national.
@@markiangooley Think of wrestling as less of acting and more improv using a persona as an extension of yourself. Wrestlers say all the time the best wrestling characters are just that individual amplifying their existing idiosyncrasies for satirical effect.

Ok, I need to know specifically what sex toys were named after each wrestler. 😮 Because otherwise I can only speculate. What would Hulk Hogan be, I wonder? What was the Macho Man's toy? And what was Andre the Giant's toy. I don't know if I can sleep unless I find out specifics here... 😂
I used to love watching this WWE Smackdown stuff in my young days because it WAS acting, nobody (normally) got hurt and I enjoyed seeing big, athletic, strong men doing incredible gymnastics with precision and athleticism. I grew out of it of course but it was fun for a teenager.
Great timing. I just finished watching the series yesterday. My perception is that Vince McMahon is one of those powerbrokers who hides in plain sight. His character was a shameless pervert, so the impact of these allegations is greatly reduced.
I think naming the sex toys after wrestlers ABSOLUTELY makes a difference. It lends itself to simulating rape by objectively intimidating men she personally knows and works with.
I can't stand Vince. But a lot of the wrestlers DO have talent. Whether it be in the ring, or connecting with the audience on the mic. Even if you're not a fan, these wrestlers work hard to make the show entertaining, you can't fake that - even though it's scripted. But yeah ... Vince is disgusting. He was joking because pro wrestling is incredibly brain-dead and meaningless, whether or not they actually have “talent”
He was undeniably a great businessman and marketer, also a narcissist..these attributes often go hand in hand

Vince McMahon aggressively deploys "The Under-Taker"
Dr. Grande deserves the World Just Speculating Not Diagnosing Anyone Belt.
WWWF once had a black wrestler called SD ("Special Delivery") Jones. His signature wrestling move was the "Coconut Butt." My guess is the sex toys named after wrestlers could be true. "Misuse of sex toys" sounds like a penalty at the recent Olympics. :)
Rakishi with stinky butt hold
"The Lion King, but getting hit with folding chairs" 😂😂😂 that was great!!
Standard Netflix procedure: take an existing topic or event from the past that everyone knows about and make a full length documentary about it.
What is the point of being a billionaire if you can't even poop on somebodys head
My fovorite Mr. McMahon quote
" Sometimes I think I'm immoral, sometimes I think I'm ammoral, but I have gotten to to the point where I can' t tell the difference.
Could we, as a society, give some of this empathy to the women with two or sometimes more jobs taking care of their families instead of to women who literally and figuratively let rich men take a dump on them because they want to be with someone wealthy and powerful?
Good morning Dr. G!! ❤
HE PLAYED THAT "CHARACTER" VERY WELL
Best characters as always played if they come from a very real place from within the performer portraying the character.
if anything, the Netflix documentary made me aware that professional wrestling is basically a circus and a soap opera combined
Thank you, Dr. Grande, I appreciate your analyses!
Vince said yes to the Diddy parties.
Thank you again Dr. Grande 🙏
Fairly accurate background, other than the longstanding claim that wrestling crowds post 1984 increased dramatically. Although his business had especially strong periods (late 90's/early 00's, in particular) the pre-expansion crowds were generally on par with what the WWF was able to draw after going national.
So he basically is the character he played on TV. He wasn't acting.
I always thought he was an arrogant BS slimeball. Any woman getting into a consensual relationship with a person like him needs her head examined.
Makes it easier if he’s not good at acting. Misbehaving, of course, makes things more difficult.
@@markiangooley Think of wrestling as less of acting and more improv using a persona as an extension of yourself. Wrestlers say all the time the best wrestling characters are just that individual amplifying their existing idiosyncrasies for satirical effect.
@@shameronstar7220 I think it's more of an improv for some wrestlers and more of an full blown act for others. For McMahon, apparently, it was 100% real.
About that "can you smell what the rock is cooking"...
She's probably lying
@@davidglad we know where that toy went lol
@@KingfishStevens-di9ji this is to real, an incredibly unlikely, not to mention hilarious, to not be true. :)
Mankind and Socko. 😮
My boyfriend has been hoping you'd upload a video on this man for months now! I have to text him right now! Thanks, Dr. Grande, you're the best ❤
I used to love watching this WWE Smackdown stuff in my young days because it WAS acting, nobody (normally) got hurt and I enjoyed seeing big, athletic, strong men doing incredible gymnastics with precision and athleticism. I grew out of it of course but it was fun for a teenager.
The good 🏥💊 Grande has been on a roll with these videos 📸
Thank you Dr Grande! I think perhaps his greatest sin was starting the XFL. Dont think the DSM has a single category to explain it.
Wow! I don’t even like wrestling and you made this analysis interesting! Good for you Dr. Grande!✅
It's about time Dr. Grande did a video on Vince McMahon.
He’s like Funkhouser’s evil twin
Great timing. I just finished watching the series yesterday. My perception is that Vince McMahon is one of those powerbrokers who hides in plain sight. His character was a shameless pervert, so the impact of these allegations is greatly reduced.
Oh Dr. Grande, if your tone, facial expressions and words didn't tell me otherwise, I would swear you're a huge wrestling fan🤣
I love how he asks “can i please analyse the case of…”. Yes. Of course you can. That is why we are here
I think naming the sex toys after wrestlers ABSOLUTELY makes a difference. It lends itself to simulating rape by objectively intimidating men she personally knows and works with.
As an avid wrestling fan, I was waiting for the longest for you to do a video about Vince Mcmahon.
A lot of the storylines he wrote were disgusting. I'm glad he's gone.
Good morning!
Janelle was like 40, pretty sure thats a very old photo
