I wonder if they're doing rough water training? Maybe purposely keeping the bow low to give the FNG a good idea of the waves before they get out to the real pounding.
@ yup, surely the captain and others on that boat know how to keep the bow up, and that but was well within its limits so I give them a win. Also, in a rescue situation, you can’t just pick up a victim flying through haulovet which is why they go slow
#3 should get the win. Sometimes I go out of Haulover just for a quick ride and turn around for fun, especially when I have friends visit who never go into the ocean. I do this so they can seen what it is like without taking them out and beating them up all day.
I am pretty sure that was the boat Formula had at the Fort Lauderdale show so it is likely that boat was being used to take a prospective buyer out in rough water to see how it performs before the boat was staged in the show or after the show (probably after as it was super windy on Mon. and Tuesday this week when they were tearing down the show).
So can we just hold here at 1:01. I count three 300 Mercs on the stern. Yet in the thumb nail description indicates 2 engines for 2400 hp. I think that would be loss for the creator. The Formula was a win, that boat ate that up almost like it was on a demo run. Wait, notice the Formula flag on the mast, lack of reg numbers. That was just a run to show a prospect how well the boat handles big water. Hate to call it but the creator takes another loss on this one.
I think that conquering the waves AND wisely deciding to turn around in a day like that deserves a win. No sense in rewarding recklessness in bad weather.
!st boat is designed with a bow step that opens so the dive crew or rescue crew can get on and off with tanks or retrieving what ever. Very ingenious design.
That fire boat definitely gets the win. They go out rescue other people, and they are super dry inside the boat. The water rolls right off of it like a ducks feathers.
always fun videos. so happy to see a new one. i can't believe paddleboarders and paddlers that are in the middle of this traffic. if one should get run over, is it the boat's fault then? seems like it should be the paddler's fault, like someone riding a bicycle in 60mph traffic.
The first vessel - the fireboat - seems an interesting set of compromises. I wonder what capabilities it was designed to meet? The narrow bow means not enough enclosed volume for adequate buoyancy up front. Also, why are so many American small vessels designed with a sheer dropping towards the front - seems like designing to submerge instead of lift.
Most of us don’t know why either. It pretty much renders them useless as a pleasure boat on the ocean. They are much better suited for lakes and rivers.
With #2, sitting is the worst; as the boat comes down, if you’re sitting, you can compress your spine. The BEST way to deal with rough waters like this is to stand, hold on tight and watch the water and let your knees take the bumps. Having sea legs makes this a piece of cake.
Wrong on the first and last boat. First boat is made to take waves over we r bow so the boat can never be called a lose. Last boat capt decided it was too rough turned around when safe. So it's not a lose. Bow never got stuffed.
First responders should never get a loss for putting their equipment up against the elements, and their boat is meant for taking water over the bow like it was.
A Boat Captain smart enough to know to turn around & do the Haulover Inlet U~Turn NEVER Loses.... he's wise in my humble opinion. About that Fire Boat. Are they carrying some tanks full of some, fire retardants is the front causing the nose to stay so low? I'm curious b/c that low would keep a fireman from working off the front of the boat or make it more dangerous to even try? With 3 knowledgeable Captains, the boats could have won the game today - but mother nature isn't a game !!?
With all the goons picking on boats why don't they make a law to keep people without boats out of the one erea boats have to go to get out the damn inlet?🧑🏼🔧😏derp.
Creator is absolutely wrong the fire boat definitely beat haulover and the formula for sure did big deal if the driver turned around. I think the second one did ok as well 😂
I would think another great idea, if you're the one standing behind the captain, would be to put your damn phone away! I don't think she would have gone down had she had both hands free and on the railing. This whole "do it for the gram'' thing is BS.
HANDS DOWN….. THE WORST Commentary EVER. Buddy, you would be better off saying nothing, than this Mickey Mouse commentary to assist the video. Just stop.
you could mute the volume or you could go elsewhere for your videos or you could attempt some form of grown-up problem-solving that doesn't involve whining and demanding that others cater to your needs. i love the commentary and it looks like the majority of the comments do too.
Kim Ward…. Or is it Karen Ward? Def. A Harris supporter, clearly a democrat. Chime in with your 2 cents when Nobody is even talking to you. Bye Felicia.
Metal Shark is made for those waves. Self-righting boat....I think that's a WIN for boats!!
Agreed.
I wonder if they're doing rough water training? Maybe purposely keeping the bow low to give the FNG a good idea of the waves before they get out to the real pounding.
@@chaoticaaronstout Most likely. Captain Keith, Tight lines

Yes, it's built to go through them like that. Not an L at all.

2:26 Amazing how people will put themselves through a horrendous situation and NEVER give up their phone to save their lives with that extra hand.

That formula handled beyond amazing
all the paddle boards kinda a crazy place too board
That fire boat definitely gets the win. They go out rescue other people, and they are super dry inside the boat. The water rolls right off of it like a ducks feathers.
Maybe the formula forgot something, even coming back he did great.
I suspect it was a demo run, note lack of reg numbers and the Formula flag on the mast.

great to see haulover kick some butt
Wong today! 3 is a win for being a smart captain!

I agree. Metal Shark enjoys stuffing the bow and powering through. Win for the boats.
Those surfers or whatever they are doing are looking to get killed by a boat
sorry Bronc, but anybody who gives first responders a loss is a LOSER!
Haulover U-turn strikes again!
Is there anything worth digging for in the ground of boat 2?
That Formula was CCO doing a test video, they purposely turned around, wasn't because of the seas. That was a win
Some kind of captains going out to just turn around.
go water go better than nfl this week - vegas odds for water all on red
Wrong on the first and last boat. First boat is made to take waves over we r bow so the boat can never be called a lose. Last boat capt decided it was too rough turned around when safe. So it's not a lose. Bow never got stuffed.
Formula that turned around looked ot be on a demo run, note lack of reg numbers and the Formula flag on mast.
@@ronbrock6153 Yeah, they'd made their point, so no point in further beating themselves, the potential buyer (or journalist), and the boat.
This is why these boats should be equipped with a henway.
First responders should never get a loss for putting their equipment up against the elements, and their boat is meant for taking water over the bow like it was.
They could’ve done a lot better…especially for people who are supposed to know wtf they’re doing…
Where are the young women who idolize the creator in the comments section? It's just not right that they aren't oogling the creative genius of BG.
These are not waves, just children's play..
#3 maybe they were doing demoing the boat, give them the win!
The second boat lost something, kinda looked like a phone.
Hmm, actually saw two objects fly off.
Standing up with a phone in 1 hand is surely asking for trouble :(
They got air ride seats and 5 way seat belts
And to get certified on that vessel you have to do a horizontal 360
How the hll can you give the win to that first fire rescue boat. They are doing it exactly right with that boat.
My god....that bow is a lake issue version. Please. That needs yo be a large CAT.
The Contender captain is a doocher, 1st rule is take care of your passengers, that girl in the back pays the price.
There's no shear on metal shark, that's one reason why the bow digs in
How is the 1st 2,400 hp??? I only counted 900
That face planter is tough as nails but that bow down I do not dig
That Metal shark is built to do that. Not an L
Looks like that fire boat was designed for harbor not ocean service

Yeet
Put your phone down and hold on properly, with both hands.
Rund 1, a clear win to the boat! A little spray on the Windows is no problems what so ever!!
#2: the girl can’t hang on with her right hand because she’s holding her phone in it……
That swim suit doesn’t have pockets either…..
Darwin at Work x 9
That first boat could have been designed for heavier diesel engines, then had alot lighter outboard engines fitted meaning it , appears bow down?
Formula won. So what if he turned around. Maybe he was just putting the boat through it's paces with a head-sea then a following sea.
The Contender clip is an old one
Creator is absolutely wrong the fire boat definitely beat haulover and the formula for sure did big deal if the driver turned around. I think the second one did ok as well 😂
Of course. Don't stow your phone contender girl and hold on with both hands. Phone more important than a sprain or even a broken bone.
The best thing about these clips..well, second best thing…
The MUTE button!
Action yes,
Play by play?🙉🤭
Really bias on number one
Knee pads need to be worn for more than one reason on days like this!
I think the narrator has some fundamental misunderstandings about rescue boats.
From a retired captain:
Most vessel's can handle it but the people can't.

The fact that you gave a metal shark a loss is an instant thumbs down for this fool.
First :)
He is showing old clips in new videos not a good idea
They dont drive it properly
Over built with every option government boat.
