      😂😂😂😂 they have no permits to sell these things. They are adding factory to make it seem like they are doing something. They can’t even ship the homes. Permits are important before you even start productions. At least that is the rumor and they aren’t confirming it

      R&D for a home you can't install. Plenty of videos of the employees eating lunch but where are their homes in the wild?

    • @MamasHotpocket2
      @MamasHotpocket2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ericdahl2915 they are sitting because they are not regulated and against building code. These homes aren’t even approved through the government. Apparently they are sitting in the back of the warehouse waiting for shipping. 😭💀 it’s been 10 yrs and they were unable to sell 1 to the public and still no permits or approval for sale. This is sad asf. No to mention they are expensive as SHT. Why not just buy a house in my opinion.

    • @HeronPoint2021
      @HeronPoint2021 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MamasHotpocket2 son just built a "laneway" home but these are basically modulars. EACH District/province/state/canton and local municipal govt. MAY have requirement unique to their locality/weather/lands use policy. So you build to ORDER and have to fit the market.

    • @MamasHotpocket2
      @MamasHotpocket2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HeronPoint2021 dude they don’t have one permit for any state. I would understand if they had a few states to sell to after a 10 yrs but to not have 1 state or any approval from the federal government is crazy to me. Before you handle state you have to handle federal first to see if it is even up to their standards. Federal law overseas the country however states can make laws around those federal regulations. They aren’t even federally approved which means this is a waste of money and scam to dig into peoples pockets. These CEO’s shouldn’t be making millions when their company isn’t off the ground yet. They using investors money to open more factories is even more ridiculous. They are literally building factories for show to get investors to spend more money.

    I love Boxabl updates. They are my favorite. I’m still looking at their three bedroom, 2 bath model as my most likely prefab purchase. Your video of that model earlier this year sold me on it. It’s going to be awhile before they are available for purchase but it’ll be worth the wait.
    A third factory. Wow. They are growing so fast that when they finally get that certification they might be so stocked up on casitas they’ll just have to ship them out.🤞🏽

    For anyone who hasn't heard of Boxabl, time to get hearing aids. Seriously, new born babies have heard of Boxabl. Now, someone needs to tell the designers at Boxabl that the refrigerator does NOT go next to the oven.

    • @MacAdvisor
      @MacAdvisor ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@louisewelch5451 A refrigerator works to keep food either between 35° and 38°F or below 30° depending on the the freezer or fridge section. The oven works to get for typically up to around 350°F to as high as 500°. That is an extreme difference. Now look at your walls. They keep your house between 65°-80°F with an outside rand of below 0° and 120°F. That is a huge temperature range and requires a huge amount of insulation to accomplish at the range is about a tenth what the fridge needs to accomplish. Look how little distance, maybe six inches, to keep the several hundred degree temperature difference for influencing the other. It just doesn't happen. Oven warm up the items inside your fridge. Those items, melt or begin to grow bacteria. Once the oven is off, the fridge will bring the temperature back down, but after food has been ruined. Think about cooking a turkey for Thanksgiving in your oven for four or six hours, while your fridge is bought well above safe preservation temperature for that length of time. Simply the single worst place to locate those two appliances.

    I am rooting for Boxabl, but at this stage I'm getting the feeling that they better get on the ball before their 120K+ people that paid a deposit and are on the waiting list start to sour on the concept. If they're building 2 per day, at this rate if they worked 365 days a year, it would take them 164 years to fill their orders and they're still taking $200 deposits. In order to fulfill their current obligations within the next 5 years, they would need to build 66 units a day, 24/7/365. I don't see that happening with just the Casitas with 5 factories, much less 3 and specififically with any additional production lines and logistics for any other models. Like I said, I am rooting for them, nevertheless I'm sensing some significant issues with costs and lead times.

Ft. that I ship all over North America; and I know fully well the difficulties that must be dealt with over the road and delivery to build site logistics. The need for affordable, better built alternatives to the stale status quo is such that I welcome high profile competition such as Boxabl, and why I assidiously follow your channel. @@KerryTarnow

    I recently toured the factory and am on that list but was advised the price did increase slightly, I love the idea, I stay in hotels about 50 weeks or so out of the year anyway so it's suits me fine, it's turn key, in one day, after you hook utilities, you move in and start cooking, doing laundry and showering everything being included is a sweet deal and they are good appliances

  • @CatCaretakerID
    @CatCaretakerID 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    They aren't just waiting for certifications, they are perfecting-designing-obtaining (i.e.; having it built) the equipment to make the factory(s) automated - like a automobile factory. They are also testing out materials to use. They still haven't built their Boxzilla factory....so more to come. I'm thankful for the update Kerry. I'm on the waitlist, but I'm looking for a lot right now and when I find one, I'm moving ahead with the purchase of a new prefab - if BOXABL isn't ready I'll choose another company. Most likely one of those on the East Coast that you have reviewed, such as Metaligna (AKA Craft Modular) out of Ottawa Canada.

  • @EIGOmanOkamoto
    @EIGOmanOkamoto ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Keep following them. The concept is great. Having the ability to choose a larger home will be excellent. I think you also need to go back to Incredible Tiny Homes to cover their new Incred-i-cottage and the newer larger incred-i-box and add-a-box. Also you should cover their great model homes. All their pricing is extremely affordable and they are developing communities where a buyer could place their home. You could make at least a half dozen videos about them. Boxable is cool but ITH is already producing around 5 homes a day. They are also thinking to move into the modular on-foundation niche too. Very exciting.

    I'm so excited about this stuff, but I really don't like the layout of the family unit. I expected something a little bit more functional. The living room is too crowded with the couches and the TV is by the dining area????????? That's just weird. I could go on and on, no joke. My wife and I plan to get a prefab home soon, but so far I just haven't seen anything I really like. Probably, we're going to have to go to one of those companies that does some custom stuff. There were a few things about it that I did like, like the upstairs bathroom, but that's not enough for me to justify it. We want something that we could be happy in for the rest of our lives probably. That little window upstairs is a crime. big windows and lots of light are a must. Even on that small square unit that I like for one person, the big door windows had too much bezel or whatever you call it. Might as well just put bars in the windows to obstruct my view. I don't want to live in a prison cell. They need a more minimalistic approach. Nothing should be blocking my view. I want to live in nature, or think I'm living in nature, while keeping the pests/bugs out. They made the whole wall of window doors, but half the view is blocked by ugly black metal. It doesn't give that clutter-free peace of mind I expected from them.

    Note that nothing is said about them losing $30m last year, and that the government contract in Guantanamo Bay (156 homes) is all that they have sold thus far. Their sale to the copper mine in Arizona last year was shut down by the division of manufactured housing, and the homes at the site disassembled and returned. They had to sublease the warehouse next door to them to store the homes that have no buyers. They spent $6m last year advertising to raise money. The financials were just disclosed for 2022 and are online at the SEC website. This channel is most likely a paid promotion from Boxable. Is Kerry being paid by Boxabl for these posts?

    Besides the father and son, they probably hired engineers to do a lot of this automation systems/machine design. The company seems to follow the Tesla/Musk model of rapid innovation and streamlining of processes, and putting no limitations on the future.
    From the beginning, they had certain important innovations and the determination to carry them through, and it also helped them really to capitalize on the tiny house/ADU craze. After all, if they can get one small house to be cost effective, energy efficient and durable, ramping up to larger homes using modules and the same building equipment and process, should be easier for them.
    That explains a lot, about the permitting problem, so thanks for reminding me and others about that.

    Hey Kerry, I trust your opinion and respect your channel. But just in case you don’t know. There’s some very shady things going on with boxabl. Meet Kevin broke it down well. But to me one of the scariest and most heartbreaking things. Is if you even comment on any of their stuff and ask about your concerns in good faith even, they will delete your comments! I would really like to hear your thoughts on all of this. I didn’t invest a whole lot. But some people aren’t so lucky. With all respect, Influencers like you have a responsibility to show both sides

    If they have Park-RV certification now and that means has to be under 400 square feet what will they do when the size increases or you combine units then how are these regulated by states. It is so confusing every state has different regulations and certifications. Please make a video addressing all of this. All these houses are cool but I don’t see how most states will allow them . Especially if a company is out of the USA they are not going to be certified and allowed in different states that require inspection and registration in a state. People are not going to be happy buying a modular home and then finding out in there state it’s not allowed.

    I'd buy their theoretical 40ft model they've talked about, but it seems it'll be a decade before it happens. They should build and sell them as "sheds" in the meantime, or stick them permanently on a flatbed trailer and sell them as RVs. Also gotta love how the government says they're fine for service members for the DOD but not for the average consumer to have something affordable.

      There are reports one of Boxabl's accounting firms has a claim for non-payment and says their financials are the worst they have ever seen. I happen to be what the SEC calls a "fully qualified investor" which allows me to participate in angel and series "A" startup stock offerings. Not smarter than any other investor, but I can afford to lose the investment in the eyes of the SEC. I look at companies very closely before any investment, and Boxabl has so many red-flags I would NEVER put even a penny at risk with them.

    They'll have no problem getting modular certification. It's a pretty low bar that they already exceed. It's just a matter of getting some government drones to wrap their heads around what Boxabl is doing. We toured the factory last October. They've added two more factories since then. These folks aren't messing around. Unfortunately, they just move much more quickly and effectively than the bureaucracy does. It's a shame in terms of delaying access to this desperately needed housing solution, but that's the system we live in.

    • @KerryTarnow

      And yet Boxabl in 3 years of "production" has NO occupancy certification. Several years prior to taking retail investor money they existed as an R&D startup. Ask yourself why on earth Boxabl operated oblivious to occupancy certifications for years. Why did the Arizona dept of mines return a bunch of Boxabl units as others have reported ? Why at this late date are there no videos of occupied Boxabl units ? The only videos are of tradeshow demo units, which require no occupancy certs. There are reports by others on TH-cam of Boxabl employees that have quit citing management shenanigans and pressure to sell to new customers and bring in retail investors even though Boxabl at this point can't actually deliver units certified for occupancy anywhere. Do your own due diligence research.

    Great update. U know this is really an exceptional story here. I love the big American flag too. It says Built In AMERICA. Alive Innovative America.
    Suggestion: Might be fun to do a deep dive hour long story on the key elements/players of Boxable. It might be worth traveling there to do this and meet up with the key players and get an employee perspective too. Early influences. Mission statement. Future dreams. Decision process.
    Note: If you do decide to go to visit, then this might be something to talk to the owners about. ▶️ My favorite companies like Chobani and Bob’s Red Mill both offered PART OWNERSHIP TO ALL THEIR EMPLOYEES. I’ll bet that if Boxable did this then that would launch them into the success story they are probably capable of and hoping to achieve.

    This has to be a ponzi scheme. 3 factories and they are not shipping products. You don't buy a second factory until your first one is too small or can't get the product out fast enough and there is a loss in potential revenue. Yet they are on their third with products not shipping until Q4 2023?

    • @Willtheroadie

      All of Boxabl’s facilities are rented they don’t even own them and the second facility is just being used for storage. The third one they just rented a section of the building but haven’t specified that to the public. Why are the founder doubling their salaries from 400k to 800k plus 400k in bonuses when the company is losing money depleting 4-5 million per month? Why are they launching 4 new crowdfunding offerings when they haven’t proven to investors that they can make them money after milking 140 million from 50k people? Why did galinao and Paolo Tiramani dump 5 million shares each and go on a spending spree? They are treating investors money like a piggy bank!
