    You don’t need to spend money for fertilizer with dragon fruits. Just compost, manure and proper watering your DF will be healthy and will fruit abundantly.

      It has been so hot this summer that I got lazy to take care of my dragon fruit plants, but I used to spray them with miracle grow once or twice a week, put chicken manure and compost every month or so and my plants got so big and strong. They gave fruits every year.

  • @williamfletcher7288
    @williamfletcher7288 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

    The practice of not watering during the high heat of the day isn't really a myth, it's just mostly specific to watering lawns and large garden beds that aren't well mulched. Lawns should definitely NOT be watered during the heat of the day because too much of the water sits on the grass blades or soil surface and just evaporates off, wasting the water. For watering where the water is put straight onto the soil/mulch, water whenever. If you do water during the high heat of the day, just make sure you purge any hot water from the hose, especially if the hose is exposed to the sun. Water from a hose left in the sun can get scorching hot and kill plants in the blink of an eye.

    My dragons canopies are growing more and more branches, but they aren't joining the rest of the canopy. They're just going straight up and all directions. Do i need to train them to go down, or will they do that on their own?

    • @GraftingDragonFruit
      @GraftingDragonFruit  25 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      This happens when they have a strong core. You can train them by using fishing weights, a water bottle filled with water enough to bend them down and tie a string to it. Or use garden tape to slowly bend them down every few days.
