  • This battle is very surprising. E90 325d starts on wet surface, meanwhile 325i is in dry contitions. But the mighty diesel is still even very capable. What do you think? And would you choose petrol rather than diesel?

      The 325i is also lighter. So ... No chance for 325i to beat the 3.0 turbodiesel. There is not one thing at which it has the upper hand. Not to mention a rolling start race, where the turbodiesel would put even a bigger gap.

    Well, as a petrol engines fan i have to admit that the diesel has over 20hp less than petrol and even that won remarkable. But i think that you could make better start with 325i especially on a dry road. I like your content, so please go on making such a interesting comparisons!

      Thank You... Well, 325i is very very weak in low RPM. That's why the start isn't perfect. Sorry for that

    Is it a possibility that ambient air temperature could be the difference between these two cars. I've always been a gasoline guy but I know some diesel trucks over here are pretty fast.

    • @legioner9
      @legioner9 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. Maybe a bit in the power output of that petrol BMW. But, usually, turbocharged diesel is a bit faster than n/a engine with similar power output. So 325i still would have lost, even at same temperature test. Turbodiesel just is a better engine under load and has more performance, and the way it delivers it - compared to n/a petrol engine.
