One of the best title sequences of all time. The use of the Chinese painting style was inspired. And Randy Edelman's music is the perfect accompaniment.
Epilogue: The O'Connell's return to their normal lives, Rick began searching for a new hobby that doesn't involve guns. Sometimes he'll miss shooting, sometimes he won't. Evie began writing her third book of her "Mummy" franchise, she will call it "The Tomb of the Dragon Emperor." Alex returns to college to try and graduate, and Lin follows him to explore the world. And as for Jonathan, he moves to Peru, hoping there are no more mummies... but he was wrong!
damn ! he died without a fanfare, those who design the score of every movie are the real unsung heroes IMO. I love so many of them. The discrete Hans Zimmer and Newton Howard are among my favourites.those are pure just genius.I developed a lot of love for this art. I wish I could see the thought process of creating a score and the different genres and influences so I can have an idea how it works.
This title sequence is fierce. I love the old chinese style gouache .The typo animation technique looks exactly like that of the movie 300. I wonder who signed the score, i love it.
Hey, sorry, my bad. This score wasn't composed by Jerry Goldsmith at all. Since this is the title sequence for TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR (something the uploader MIGHT want to consider adding in the title), the music is actually by Randy Edelman. The original MUMMY film in 1999 had a good score by Jerry Goldsmith. (By the way, the score for THE MUMMY RETURNS, by Alan Silvestri, is really excellent. Worth giving a listen.)
The "discrete" Hans Zimmer? He's quite well known actually, compared to other film composers, especially for his Gladiator, PotC and Dark Knight OSTs. If you ask me, the real unsung heroes are people like Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, The Mummy Returns, Van Helsing) or John Debney (Cutthroat Island, The Passion of the Christ). Very few people know them. John Williams and Hans Zimmer are comparative "superstars". I'm not saying they didn't deserve it though :)
Put together in AE. This one has elements coming from a few different programs, mainly Cinema 4D. There's some Poser, Realflow, and hand-painted elements in the mix as well.
The Mummy:Tomb of the Dragon Emperor was such a bad film, with a stupid plot, unnecessary love story, unnecessary re-casting for Evy. However there were some good action sequences and this score is great. This theme shouldhave been the theme for The entire Mummy Trilogy :)

I like this music.

He said: Peru, here I come!
Hahaahahahahaha 😈
That’s what he thinks
Watch out Johnny a new mummy villain awaits you
I watch the movie a 1,000 times and I still like the movie and it is still Good.

0:45 Universal Pictures / Dimension Films / Alphaville Films / Sommers Company (The Mummy: Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor)
It's much better at 1.25 speed

No, it says right there in the credits that it was Randy Edelman. Jerry Goldsmith scored the first film.
And Alan Silvestri scored the second film. Good score, too!
Stevefullertv, you might, next time, go ahead and run the entire ending credits, just for those of us who are interested.
it wasn't the same without the Original actor who played Evy :(
I think Rob Cohen has a thing for dragons (Dragonheart, Dragon Bruce Lee Story, Mummy 3)
Eu amo demais essa triologia❤🎞️🎥

Could someone tell me what the song for the opening credits is for this film please?
It was Randy Edelman who did this score, not Jerry Goldsmith. It even says it during the video.
The man who composed this score was Jerry Goldsmith, a masterful composer of dozens of filmscores who, unfortunately, passed away in 2004.

What's the name of this OST?
Was this all done in After Effects?

Terrible movie but I prefer this over the tom cruise one
no one sahll speak about the Tom Cruise one that was a fucking disaster
Compared to the Main Themes Jerry Goldsmith and Alan Silvestri wrote for Mummy 1 & 2, this one sounds lame, lame, lame... and Cheesy to boot.
Bad movie. Bad actress.
i think mst3k should do this movie
