I like integrated bracelet watches, I think they deserve to be seen as a proper genre rather than a homage category. Also, it appeals to my inner 80's child which is probably also the reason I'm drawn to the Bulova Computron.
you, sir, are out of the club
Yeah he was right, these are all shite
I have a rainbow iridescent, "600m water resistant", 55mm wide & 23mm thick, double escape wheel, abalone dial Invicta monstrosity I got for about $80 on a cruise - it's positively obscene, the bracelet alone is 2mm away from being just as wide as my 35mm PRX, doesn't fit in the watch box, and it weighs about as much as every other watch in that watch box combined....but it's a hilarious bit of fun that I cant help but like.
That Hublot is the Mountain Dew of watches.
I was never an apple watch person despite using iPhone and iPads since forever. I love my mechanical watches but was “forced” to use my wife’s series 6 apple watch for fitness purposes and found out why people love them. Its really an amazing tech minus the daily charging though.
I love the Bamford x Snoopy collabs (and actually boought them!) . It's shameful, but I feel safe sharing it with you folks :D
I like none of those. My guilty love is an Invicta Pro Diver. It's just so comfortable and legible and it look so good. I don't care that I only paid $60 brand new. Cheers!
I love the John Mayer Hoodwinkee (yes i spelled that correctly lol) G-Shocks... I'm a huge fan of the 6900 series as a whole but the JM variations are just fun. They make me feel like I'm still playing the watch game, yet wearing something that is rugged and fun.
ur funny af andew. You seriously bring some top tier comedic lines in your presentations and I thank you for all the laughs provided with great watch content.
You are so eloquent. The "me likey very much" cought me totally off guard, coffee exits nose etcetera. Thanks 😂
Apparently the Tudor North Flag and P-01 are almost universally hated. I would buy a North Flag right now if the prices weren't so mad.
I have both and love them dearly! Go with what you love, even (and especially) if it's against the grain.
I really like my Invicta Pro Diver. There I said it. I feel a lot better now.
Follies were very popular in Victorian times. Usually it was men spending heaps of money on something totally pointless.
I’d love to get the Moser Icon and wear it ironically-too bad they don’t produce many.
7:20 NO!! The ultimate old man's watch is the Festina F20250/2
I love MB&F However everyone I've ever shown the horological machine to says I'm out of my mind, but I like that mid century space pirate vibe they do so well 😂 plus the boxes the watches come in are literally out of this world
Movado - quartz or not, it's thin and beautiful. I absolutely love the minimalist design of having no indices on the dial.
I absolutely love the Oris Pilot X Pro Kermit!
I still love my Movados. I said what I said.
I have to admit i kinda like the design of the bell&ross BR 05 series. I think they are to big for me and maybe a bit too expensive for what they are, but I kinda like em 🙈
The Rolex “King Midas” Cellini , no I am not a drug dealer nor do I live in Miami. It’s just sexy gold dust 🎉❤
Tudor hydronaut 2. Still love it
Probably a sign of getting old, but there isn't a watch I like that I'm ashamed of. Like what you want and let people's opinions pass over you like a fart in the wind.
Your content is SO GOOD!
The celebration is supposed to be called the "ball pit".
Sold my Fitbit and suunto and bought apple ultra. It’s good!
Your satire is spot on without being cheeky😎
The Breitling 46mm panda Navitimer, I cant stop thinking about it, even if it is 5 mm too big for my wrist 😭
Love this bubble dial Rolex!
i enjoy rip curl surf watches, just like the moon phase and tide options
I had one in early 2000s in Florida. Loved that watch!
As the owner of one, I really like the Invicta Diver 1953. Understated looks and a solid movement for about $95.
The Celebration is undefendable
It’s so lazy and lame from a brand like Rolex, of all brands. Ugh.
Very funny video,, thank you, 🤣👍
The new prx digital, i like it more than most, other than casios there are not enough luxury quartz, let alone digital watches, so it's nice to see the swiss going more into it and some colorways are really nice like the gray on gray
I also like the code 11:59, the case shape is unique and the dials are great, they are more than just a gateway to be in a royal oak wait list in my opinion
And also aliexpress watches, of course they are not all made equal some are straight up trash, and others offer undeniable value, like if they offer faux vintage for discontinued watches, same goes for invicta, shocker right but here me out, in their catalog of hundreds, they have like 10 models that are worth checking out, plus you have a lot of choices with the colors
I'm fully on board with the prx digital. it looks like I will get myself an 70s style beater watch now!
Clive has me listening to The Clash which is easy to do.
One was over the edge, one was over the cliff...
Hi Andrew my guilty watch pleasure is the PANERAI Luminor Due in 38mm..is this a watch you'd recommend? For a watch lover that is a member of the small wrist club.
I had a Big Bang Ice Bang and I was unfortunately parted from it. Trying to replace is is near-on impossible because Hublot is do damned inconsistent there is nothing on the market that has the exact same bezel, dial , and movement.
I love the Oris Propilot X "Kermit" - Edition. My 7-year-old daughter said: Daddy, finally you got yourself a watch that actually suits you 😅
I want a Rolex Celebration Dial, but I’m not Mark Wahlberg… so, yeah. 😢
The sapphire 500k sapphire hublot should be on jomas this time next week for 28k if your interested
Gotta be honest, that Jacob & Co really appeals to my sense of aesthetics and love for retro geeky space stuff. Probably also couldn't wear it, but man, if I had the dough...
I just bought an homage bubbles dial. Love the blue.
The statue of liberty with a coke instead of a torch makes me want to revisit my breakfast indeed 😂 ... even if I wasn't a watch nerd I'd watch your vids, thanks.
I am, indeed, "get off my lawn" years old. Now, if you'll excuse me, it's 8:15pm and I need to go to bed
I’m very intrigued by the Blancpain x Sawtch collab
My guilty pleasure is vintage swatch swatch, specially the chrono series from the 1990-1999
I have my OG Swatch from 1985. Love that watch!
As with rolex these days, they can never go wrong and you probably will have a hard time getting it from the AD
I absolutely love the celebration dial. That was the first Rolex I loved enough to get on a list for. I SHALL HAVE IT whether everyone hates it or not
The Bubbles dial (celebration) Rolex is the only Rolex I’d buy without so much as an instant of doubt, if I had the cash, because every time I see one it makes me smile.
Early on in its history, Kobold made a chronograph that had Sinn 356 vibes and it was tempting to get in on the ground floor of a new brand. I’m not embarrassed that I liked the watch, but the bizarro-world that Kobold has become would have had me embarrassed that I had associated myself with the brand and that would have sullied the enthusiasm I had for that watch and the company. Glad I took a pass.
I love my Movado. I know. It is quartz. It is not fancy. It is not a famous brand. But it was love at first sight and even today it gets picked over watches that are embarrassed by having him as a neighbor in the watches box.
My Movado was my first watch in this collecting journey…still a classic and sitting amongst 20 other time pieces…lol..wear yours in good health! 😊
@@mrlong6267 also my first watch. The one I bought with the first salary I ever earned when I started to work some 20 years ago. Enjoy yours for many years and wear it with pride :)
I was enjoying this comedic view on our hobby just up to the point where you mentioned the Apple Smart Watch. Then I had an urge to throw myself into a jet engine….
Is it bad that I've started looking at Grand Invicta watches and seriously thought "I really like/want this watch"?
I feel personally attacked about the knees popping and back pain.
How about the Casio CMD40F-7CB? It doesn't have a TV in it, but it does have a built-in TV remote control. Never fight over who controls the control with your significant other again.
This is embarrassing, but I miss watching Peter from the Ideal World channel. The watches were almost totally unlike watches, but I enjoyed the process. I did once buy an Earnshaw, at a huge discount, and sold it again, only making a small loss. Bring back Peter!
1:18 Andrew NO! 😮
The Code 11.59 is nice though, apart from the hands being a bit boring.
*The Hublot looks like a Timex after assimilation by The Borg.*
Are you feeling ok Andrew?.. but seriously - what I am hearing is you like fun watches and I couldn’t agree more. And pretty much I’d have all of them were cost not a factor! Luckily it is - so - like you - I can stick to G shocks and swatch for my fun kicks without breaking the bank!.. ps video inspired me to strap on my swatch neon to the max chrono!
If they put the Astronomia Tourbillion in a pocket watch casement, so you can protect it with a watch pocket, can take it out and set it down, it would make more sense.
I think they're fun.
I don't do that investment thing. But it's clear as day, that this obscure, hated ref, will fetch big bucks 10, 15 years from now. Just like every misunderstood car. Anything fun and quirky, and initially hated, always ends up being desirable.
Learn from the past, people!
Wait you have an 11.59? Didnt you recently share you watch collection?
Original Omega Proplof. God I love that ungainly asymmetrical hunk of metal.
Oh such fun.
10 watches he’s embarrassed to like. I thought this was gonna be a collection review again.
Zing!
California Dials, especially on fashion watches. It’s winking at you because it knows that you know that it knows the story behind the dial. And yet, buying one would end the world.
Brilliant comedy. The Terry Thomas of the escapement
I love the celebration and would definitely wear it
*#Humbled** and **#Blessed*
Working on forgiveness for the hideous Hublot 😢😮
When do we get to see you sporting red soled heels to properly assess how much you do not need an Apple watch ultra?
The Amy Schumer joke alone was worth a like
Should be called the measles watch.
I love all the deep sea watches from Rolex, Omega and Oris. Sorry, not sorry.
Rolex should do a Bart Simpson watch.
I honestly don’t know how Hublot do it, they actually deserve some sort of award… they even outdo themselves from one level to another, that Big Bang is instantly vomit inducing!! 🤢🤮 And they STILL refuse to align those bezel screws!! 😖
The more the watch community thinks I should be embarrassed to like a watch, the more proud I am to like, own, and wear it.
The “Bubbles” is the watch equivalent of a novelty Zippo lighter!
I think the reason people often like watches like these, even when they're not that good, is simply that they're different. Especially when you're a watch enthousiast, you can only take so much samey stuff.
I like the two Ap's and the Patek and find the others to be pretty hideous.
if not for being overpriced to high hell, my wrist would be 24/7 adorned with Hublot Big Bang and Richard Mille and I'm not even being ironic. I'm a mild mannered person who like to wear classy and subdued outfit, so a big, gaudy, blocky watch(that isn't actual $5 Chinese trash) is the only thing to assert any hope of personality that isn't "boring"
James Bond should have an Apple Watch Pro
The subbie, logically I know it’s a plain dive watch that isn’t worth the money asked by a cynical marketing giant, but deep down I love it and can’t convince myself not to.
Good video. Just highlights we all like the weird and wonderful. #nosnobbery
How many times will the title of this video change?
I can only see myself wearing the Bubbles at the pool. Not digging it!
Do it, you’ll be able to sell it for 5x the price in a few years because they will discontinue this no doubt.
Edit: referring to the bubble OP, wasn’t expecting other watches at the time of writing lol
THAT RM GIVES SERIAL KILLER VIBE
I have a small collection of 8 watches with un-commond brand like Breguet, Arnorld and Sons, Bovet... I can feel the disapproval amongst my friend group whenever I add a piece that are not from Rolex or the big 3. To them I am being stupid and loosing money in those watches and not being responsible with my money. To be honest, I love and respect Rolex and the big 3 but none of their pieces really speak to me unless they are ridiculously expensive (I have an expensive taste, I guess haha). I just ignore them I buy the watch that I love. I am happy to be the silly goose in the group. We like what we like, no need to be embarrass about that (unless it's an Hublot then shame on you)
Plus one for the hublot lol
Well if you’re going to get excommunicated you might as well do it in style.
I like the bogey Hublot because it's extremely ridiculous and makes no sense at all
I really love the Panerai Luminor Due. I know: a 42mm Panerai with 30m of water resistance is kinda ridiculous but honestly I don't care. I have a small wrist, but I really like Panerai. I cannot wear 44 mm or even bigger watches since I simply can't fit them. A 42 mm Panerai is the perfect solution and honestly I don't care if I can't take it while scuba diving: I wouldn't do even if it had 300 m WR
The legibility on the celebration isn't good. Oi
UN Minara series LOL
TAG Heuer Formula 1 quartz, white dial. Don’t hate me!
CODE 11.59 has been getting a lot better in recent iterations. They're not terrible. I like the better AliExpress watches, and I'm not embarrassed to admit it. The Swiss stole watchmaking from the British and French (the "Dutch forgeries" of the late 18th century), and so it's karmic now that the Swiss are arrogantly pricing themselves out of the market, or at least out of the reach of reasonable budgets, that they get a taste of their own medicine... albeit a couple of hundred years later.
110% agreed
The RM 88 looks like something that could have been made by Invicta. Why would anyone even consider paying a fortune for something that looks like a fair gift is something that escapes me. But one thing is certain, selling one really puts a "smiley" on the faces of people at RM!
Silly prices for silly people. Prefect reflection of the times. SBF owns them all.
Tom recommended the “clown balloons “ in the last Watchfinder episode. You two need to go back on your meds.
That Rolex is every clown's wet dream.
