cuz the people who claim to be fans are just here for the hype and leave, thats why UFC fighters are calling out the fans for being so shitty like not worrying about the fighter health and well being, making memes of every life struggle they have, and hoping back and forth as fans and shitting on people for a laugh at the detriment of the fighter. These people who put their life and health on the line should have respect from the audience but they dont, and the respect they get is 50/50 fake

too many casual fans, Tony was an animal threw out his entire career. always has been one of my favorite fighters, him and ghaetje's fight was heart breaking. like a changing of of guard, like the old version of the damage machine giving way to the new version of a violence generator. he's an animal but I think ghaethje and Tony need to fight again.

Ironically, Tony's attempt to come back from his knee injury in 5 months serves as a cautionary example of the dangers of being too resilient to pain as it affected his athleticism which was a key component of his fighting style. If you watch his performance before the injury and his two fights after you can see that his performance diminished.

Not only did he get stripped, but he also came back won in an impressive fashion and still got passed over for the title and interim. once again you've made me feel something, love, pain, sadness, hope, after all that's the aim right? this unusually set me emotions right off, tony ferguson is my absolute favourite fighter too. watching him lose breaks my heart, but watching him not give a fuck and carry on regardless of how bad it was makes me wanna lead an army in to battle. I am currently dealing with a long term injury that's slowly but surely getting better, its a sort of career ending injury if left unattended, so to me i have no choice but to carry on no matter the cost. i think that is why listening to you talk about martial arts and in particular tony ferguson, has led me to near tears, and also to write this comment right as i got home from work. i already watched your first tony video, and i'm grateful you made another one, first time so nice you had to do it twice. Thank you Mixed Martial Academic

Thanks so much for your awesome comment I love it. With regards to your injury, not sure if you mean career eneder it terms of sport, or literal career, but Im going to assume sport. just over 9 months ago I stress fractured both my tibias from running super high mileage and it was devestating to my life mate, I really feel your pain and the only thing I can say is, if physiotherapy is an option then commit to it fully, and stay postive through it all, I recently did an essay for my degree on sport psychology and injury - it really can not be stated enough that motivation and positivity are key indicators to a successful return to sport. As silly as it sounds, what that means in reality is, every single day work toward recovering your injury - Diet, exercises, and mindset. Really work on meditiation and mental exercises that can make you stronger and more positive. At the end of this my friend you will be more mentally resilient and ready to get back to it! I wish you the best and I feel your pain my man!

@@MixedMartialAcademic yes mate its a sport injury, ive been training MMA for nearly year now, ive always wanted to but never had the balls, now i do. ive fallen in love with it and have actually started to shape my life around it. Now all i want to do is fight, my goal is to become professional and make a living from it. the last 6-7 months ive been training with this injury trying to work around it as best i can, and the key really is to stay positive and keep going simply because there is no other option in my head, as i am no quitter. And actually the whole meditating and diet stuff you mentioned, i am trying to do those things as best i can with the discipline i posses, and so far it's been up and down, recently more so than not as i am finally kicking things in to gear with my progress, but compared to where i was less than a year ago, you wouldn't recognise me. Over weight, out of shape, drinking, smoking you name it. but the reason im doing that stuff is because of the book of 5 rings that i am now on my 2nd read of, and i got that book because of YOUR video, just thought you should know how much you can impact someones life by just making a video about something your passionate about. those stress fractures are no joke holy fuck, if it doesnt break you then it makes you, i am sorry to hear that none the less, im guessing the reason you are able to deliver such a speech about tonys injury and or mental resiliance itself is due to your own personal experience. And that i commend you fully. i will not disclose the injury because you never know who's watching ;) Keep up the videos man they really are a work of art and thankyou for such a lovely reply.

Tony's the type of guy to brush the horrible luck and politics that ended up watering down his accolades and career on paper. But the hardcore fight fans who where around for Tony's prime years will always have a massive appreciation and respect for this inspiring athlete. And we should pay the man back by keeping his legacy alive as one of the greatest warriors in history of fighting despite never getting to fulfill the traditional achievements of one.

Great video, man. Nice to see someone approach the conundrum of Tony Ferguson in a different way than others. I still love Tony, he's one of the few fighters that has that 'wow' factor that makes watching them almost transcendent, amazing, inspiring. I hate the way he's looked in the las few fights, seeing him lose his magic has been truly saddening. Still, he's truly unique, and that period he was that transcendent fighter was beautiful to experience. I'm glad I got to see it. And I'm glad I watched your video; you did a brilliant job of highlighting this aspect of the man.

Under appreciated is an understatement and made feel very bad for Tony but this has allowed me to realize that I don’t need to feel bad for him bc his legacy along with his destiny is written in stone forever! Its really sad that we saw right in front of us a man that literally gave up everything, even the possibility of walking normally for the rest of his life and went through a hell that most of us would never understand. He was tossed around and forgotten both by the MMA community and world. For me, he was the most human, he wore his heart on his sleeve, he persevered and he always came back fighting. He is truly a fighter in and outside the cage.

his mental strength is being able to lie to himself and will himself through the hate he has for where he is in life professionally. The first time I saw Tony. I ask my friend who is that? She said, Tony Ferguson. I said he is so strange. As I moved on with Time we all piled up and watched his fight with Donald. I began to see more and more of him. My personality is just like his. I began to favor him a lot and I love this kat. I understand him and I do love him. I have a brand new Baby Harliquin Dane his name is Baby Ferguson. My husband said where did that name come from and I told him. He doesn't watch fighting. I can see Tony helping so many Kids in his future. Tony Ferguson is Good stuff. Thanks for the video it is the language of the heart and Hes not weird to me anymore!

People dont give him credit because they dont understand him. His style is unique and genius. There is no other like him, even great fighter avoid him in his prime because he is too much of a puzzle to them because nobody understand him. I see him as genius not weird. One day we will see someone use his style just like him and become champion and then we will remember where that style came from. His fight not only for the win but his fight is always exciting, even great anderson silva sometimes do boring fight with his counter punch, but unlike tony he is different.

@@wnd9434 right on ! I understand Tony’s personality. He is a borderline Personality. He is loyal and wants others to be just as loyal .. They hurt him deeply and he was very loyal . Blood ,Sweat and Tears . The people in his camp and I mean financial , coaches ,The whole scene in ufc. They Robbed him and didn’t make any apology to him . He suffered mentally and physically . They striped him at the worst time . They treated him like a object . He was fricken injured of all things . He was defenseless. T. He couldn’t even defend him self . He didn’t deserve that kind of treatment . No one does but Tony’s personality will aggravate the Anger and his perception. all the things that go along with being screwed over . I still think if Tony got a coach and anther team together and got some new directions He could still fight a few more fights . He can’t coach him self any longer . Yelp I still believe Tony has more fight in him . I hope he saved his money so he can live comfortable and get his own gym and teach the kiddo that desperately need someone like Tony . I love Tony Ferguson ❤️
