And if the game ends up on Game Pass down the road, that'll also give them a fair chunk of change. The game will definitely end up profitable, a fact I suspect both Epic and Remedy are keenly aware of.

    - Yes, it’s semi-playback but the Old Gods of Asgard are selling it good. And they rock.
    - Matthew Porretta on stage singing. What a voice!
    - Ilkka Villi mastering the already iconic choreography. 15 years ago he just signed to be a face model and do motion capture in a videogame, and now he’s on the stage of the Game Awards re-enacting one of the most memorable moments in videogame history, and killing it with those moves!
    - The whole team gathering for the grand finale.

Well, for at least live singing, Matthew would Have to be there. And Ilkka not being part of the act would leave out a major part of the visual of the performance. This was my favourite moment of the night. I wasn’t interested in Alan Wake 2 at all and now it’s all I think about.

I've seen this about 10 times now. It gets better every time. What a masterpiece of a game.

This chapter and the fact they've actually performed it live at the game awards is the greatest occurrence in gaming I've ever witnessed and it's made me so happy!!!!!! ❤

I've been gaming since the days when pong was the newest thing, and while picking the greatest scene in gaming is a pretty tough call, I'd be hard pressed to come up with one that tops this. It was truly unexpected and technically brilliant. It's great that there are still developers out there who can come up with something genuinely new in a game, and this definitely fits that description. A little sad they didn't win best music though.

Aaand the best game soundtrack goes to... Final Fantasy! "5 minutes later they show THIS"
    Okay allright whatever
Anyway that was absolutely awesome. Glad to see every key figure of Alan Wake just rockin' on the stage
Love to Remedy, Ilkka Villi, Sam Lake and Poets of the Fall

@yellowbat79 I know, I like most of them, and they're much more replayable than FF16 ones. But the 16 ones are also playing during incredible set pieces during which the music elevates those set pieces. In alan wake 2 the only moment that happens is during musical chapter as far as I'm aware since most of the other notable tracks play at chapter end.

MMarkoSaaresto's singing is just remarkable here. It's like a car going from zero to 60 in zero seconds. Hard to do as it requires incredibly control and musicality
