I might give these a go. I couldn’t daily train in the base model.., it was good for 10k and under.., and speed work. This might be a bit more versatile..
I think that I do better with shoes that are less mushy and more flexible. How does this Atreyu compare to the Topo Cyclone 2 that you recently tested, or the Puma Deviate Nitro 2? I currently run quite a bit in the Mizuno Wave Rider 25 and that shoe has good controlled cushioning and a lot of good flex in the forefoot area despite the wave plate. Thank you for all of your reviews and interviews. You are the best!
Thanks! We will get to that in the full review but considerably more shoe than C2 but not as refined an upper. Haven’t run Deviate Nitro 2 but no plate here but gets close sort of due to outsole but clearly not the same, more about midsole action and outsole. WR25 is mighty fine but way more going on underfoot, less smooth and natural but give Wave and upper more stable and supportive if heavier and heavier riding.
@@RoadTrailRun Thank you for the reply. The wave rider 25 does not feel heavy to me because I’m not used to running in lighter shoes. It feels plenty stable. The New Balance More V3 and Hoka Bondi and On Running Cloud Monster feel more ponderous to me because of of the higher stack height and the low energy return of the midsole as you just kind of sink but you don’t spring back.
The Trainer has considerably more cushion and a real outsole. The Base Model was for sure more minimal and yes some could daily train in them ( do most all runs) but most (including me) would find it not enough shoe
I am a pr for a half marathon with the base and can’t wait to try the daily trainer
It’s a good looking shoe too, I love the simplicity
I feel this compares well with Saucony Freedom which works well in the gym and you can also run some.
Like to RoadTrailRun from 🇪🇸. Thanks for this information about the Atreyu. I don't knew this brand. A nice Sunday for everyone. 🌞🏃🌞
That white colorway is 🔥
I might give these a go.

I am finding more versatile. While not as light much more shoe underfoot in comparison

I had two pairs of the base trainer, and when it first came out they said it was for your daily training. I don't really understand where this fits.

Does the 30-24mm stack include the 5mm foot bed?
Yes
