This worked great with KICKER 43DSC3504 speakers. I had the older external enclosures, without the LEDs, and had to sand down the outside edge of the mounting adapter rings to get it to fit. After a few min of sanding, they fit and worked great! The extension ring was an exact fit. Thanks for sharing the video and templates! RV sounds so much better now!!
That's awesome, exactly what I needed. If anyone wants those 3d printed parts but doesn't have a 3d printer, there are a bunch of 3d printing services. I hear about shapeways a lot in my 3d printing groups.
Thank you for sharing your project sir. Your website does not seem to work anymore, does it? Could you please share STLs for the 3D models you designed again? Will need to tackle this project on our RV soon.
I would be interested in hiring you to make a set for me. One of my speakers are bad, but the outside case looks exactly like yours. Please let me know. Thanks
Was hoping for a normal install of an outside speaker and how to measure to get a correct speaker for my 2020 Salem Villa classic, all of this 3D printing and revamping doesn't cover the basics needed.
I decided to install the speakers in the existing enclosures. There are virtually no speaker upgraded speakers that will fit into the enclosures without modification. A "normal" install would not require a video as it should be pretty straight forward. If you want to replace the speakers without having to do a 3D print of parts, the only choice you have is to buy a larger enclosure (or flush mount the speakers, requiring drilling a hole into the sidewall). For example, these enclosures can fit most speakers up to 6.5". You would cut the speaker hole into the enclosure using the instructions that come with the speaker you purchase. amzn.to/2Q7icIu
I am just not setup for retail. I know that not everyone has the ability to 3D print. But not everyone has the ability to do woodworking, electronics, or some of the other projects I present. So, I like to provide something for everyone, realizing that not everyone will be able to do every project.
Fiberglass would be easier than metal. You can buy 1/8" thick sheets at Amazon, etc. Unfortunately, I am not setup to sell at retail; tax license, etc. From time to time, I do make extra parts available from project leftovers when I create the video, but they are limited to one or two copies. When I sell those, its not at retail as I am simply recovering costs. So I wont say that I will never have items for sale. Unfortunatly I dont have any leftover speaker rings.
Sorry, I am not setup to do retail sales. I have provided a cad file (STL file) on my website that you can download and use for free. There are many vendors on eBay and other websites that will make 3D prints for you from the STL file I provide.

I have not tried Shapeways. Let us know if they are reasonable.

Hi- I went to your website but it doesn’t seem to be up anymore. Can you share the 3d printer files directly with me or are they posted elsewhere?
Where can i find this STL files? Website does'nt seem to be online anymore
seems like the website is no longer valid. Anyone know where i can get these print part files? would be appreciated! thx.
I swapped mine to the 6.5 pods with polk marine 6.5
Hard to beat the Polk DB 650 series. I have installed them in my last 2 boats and this RV.
Awesome work man!
Thanks for the visit

You need to sell your 3d printed parts!

Shoot I’d buy some parts if you can make them for me.
It beats me having to make it out of metal. It can be done but it’ll take some time

It's a joke that they lost the factory speakers as 5 1/4" drivers.. The drivers 2 3/4"!!
I will buy these 3D parts from you
