The original grille attaches with 4 pegs that sit in the cab and support the grilles by going into 4 holes in the grille. There should also be a layer of transparent hessian type of fabric stapled to the front grille before the visible speaker fabric is attached to the front of the grill panel.

@@robertboyer2954 for the frames you can use any quality black paint from the big box stores. I think I used Rustoleum in a water based satin finish. It’s a good idea to put a clear coating over any surfaces that get painted. I spray with my HVLP, Varathane Clear Wayer Based Poly in a Matte finish. But you can also use the Spray Cans that are clear Matte. My favorite is Glidden All Surface In Matte. Available at Home Depot. Dries super quick and can be decorated in 10 min. Super even look and finish. It’s fool Proof.

Cool idea!..you should put a set of l100 frames on those so you can use the the quadrex foam inserts
