I'm having a blast, I just wish it had betrer matchmaking. Like maybe the option to wait longer than 40 seconds before inserting bots. At least you can friend request people before the game starts, though.

You should add the demo’s universal perk that give you 20% more damage versus knocked enemies. With the grenade being a guaranteed knockdown even on elites, you follow with overclock to melt even faster.
Chose gunner in the beginning I like it and definitely run it til I buff it out all the way up and then try the other classes but this helps a lot!!! Over all I think it’s a cool game that’s only gets better with future updates

Shows even more that you can no longer trust the "reviews" of a game. I love this game, but due to not having too much content available, it might be shortlived. "Content" is for me the amount of repeatable levels to play. They kinda get old very fast.
I picked up the tactical shotgun and found it's a pretty great side arm, but i couldn't get into the twilight. Ended up sticking with the starting m41a2 pulse rifle, I have such an easier time dealing with those long range enemies with it than the twilight for whatever reason.
I’m playing on console and I have a hard time hitting the aliens with DMR’s. They move way too fast fir my old reflexes. Pulse Rifle all the way for me. I will pull out the Burst Rifle against Synths because they stand still more.
Try it with the radar scope maybe. It helps you see the aliens before they come out from behind a wall. You can anticipate their jump and headshot them on landing.
I’ve changed my Gunner loadout so many times over the course of this game! The addition of presets was one of the best QOL decisions made by Cold Iron. I now have different builds depending on situation or mission. For instance, when playing solo with bots, I keep a general balance between control and self-serving perks that benefit me. However, when playing with others (especially with ones familiar with the game and gameplay), I use a more team focused approach that benefits my teammates. It’s nice to have a few different builds ready to go for each class!
I run gunner and my friend runs demolisher. Between the 2 of us we can stun elites 3 times in a single encounter between recharges. Even with a random bot for a 3rd we're holding it easily enough. 2 great classes
I can stun an elite twice with my demolisher if I time my abilities right so stunning one 3 times with a gunner to assist is very feasible. Stunning combined with an overclocked Smartgun aiming at weakpoints absolutely devastates the aliens.
I run demolished and my friend is a gunner and I absolutely melt elites with the flamethrower and yes flamethrowers are good or better than a smart gun other than it blocks the view of teammates and downs teammates if you or they are not paying attention to what is going on. Also I can stun twice since the blast wave and the concussive rockets and more if there are enough enemies near me.
I've been checking out these guides and found the gunner one in particular lacking in depth analysis of the perks section. I understand that you need to max out cdr and uptime on overclock but you haven't mentioned what other perks you've been using for grenades and why they are better than just stacking more stuff on overclock.
I was able to play horde till wave 32, I got bored by then and returned to the base. Gameplay was with 2 bots, my personal loadout was the gunner builder with overclock perk and CC mines, and I must admit the only horde map they have right now played a major role in defeating that elite xenos and swarms without much difficulty plus the health packs they keep dropping made me feel like at one point I was in a God mode playing. It was super fun. I hope to see something different in the coming days.
I used gunner from the start, and my buddy used the demolisher. This video was great to show me how to better set up my gunner. We need a good third person though to get through the higher difficulties.
I’ve used the dmr and I honestly agree with using that, but the one thing I don’t like about the dmr is that it is not good for when they are right up on you. That is what the shogun is for. But the dmr does pack a punch for long range. I use either the dmr or I use the kramer assualt rifle and have buffs that go to the fire rate of my auto rifle
He’s totally right about that sniper rifle. At first I wasn’t keen on it because I was so used to the Pulse Rifle. But then I tried it out and my God, it’s a world of difference. I’ve never melted a drone that quick the pulse rifle. Can’t wait to get this thing maxed out!
Might I present an alternative: The Medved Shotgun. Enough range to make it a viable mid-range weapon. Solid firing speed. Two shells, but both get reloaded at once and a reload speed of "Switching to your sidearm is faster than - oh. Well then. Nevermind, carry on, Shotgun Man."
Think the boosted flash hider makes more sense no? Double the weak point damage than precision brake and only requires a single kill to proc which will happen all the time.
You should focus more on the wave grenade it does a lot of damage and combined with a high damage shotgun and overclock it can solo a crusher or a warrior in like 3 secs best

Got my "Overclock" cooldown to about 73%, add that to the length of time I get to use it and it's just a game changer. I have mods gained from the "Recon" class being used on my "Gunner" class. With that much cooldown and a Shotgun, Elites just get melted, even on the highest difficulties.
Now that the Pathogen DLC is out I wonder if you’ll return to show us an end game Lancer build, breakdowns of some of the new weapons, perks and attachments.
If the Twilight's job is melting elites surely the 20% weak point damage on the tanker muzzle brake is better than 5% from the special effect on the extended flash hider. You have to hit the weak point anyway so why not just do more damage?

I love the M37A3 Shotgun, i've used since the start though sadly i've been thinking of making that change as the reload of each shell takes so long sometimes and if you have the jam card on you have to reload all 10 shells not just the 1

Brooo same here I just started playing yesterday and I’ve used the M37A3 so much. It just feels so satisfying to use and it still puts out quite a lot of DPS with over lock. Did you end up making the switch btw?
@@brayerkh yeah the reload speed of reloading all 9 shots is just too fast to pass up, it reloads in roughly 1.8s without overclock as the blue features (forgot the names) don’t show on your weapon stats but still work so it’s perfect at killing all the little guys your demo fails to take out

@@kamitokishi9661 M42A2 Scout. It's the single shot pulse rifle, but better accuracy, and does nearly the damage of the x46 sniper, and when you hit weak points or crit, it equals the x46 in dmg. Fast fire rate, no recoil to speak of, and sniper level of damage and accuracy without the hassle of a scope. If you're accurate, give that one a go, and you'll be very happy with it.
There’s also an automatic shotgun too that is pretty strong with the gunner All depends some people like the pump and others like the semi auto. I have been enjoying the pump a lot though
I keep hearing them talking about accidentally shooting teammates with the smart gun. I dont get it, cuz I'm pretty sure that's impossible... it literally stops shooting if a teammate steps in front of you
Can’t wait for the doc build but I have a serious question! My friends game crashed on a mission and when he booted the game back up all his stuff was reset he was back to mission 1 with nothing on his weapons…how can I fix this?
Do you get to customize your npc's grids too when playing solo? Do they level up your characters? Like if I want to main a medic can I have an alt gunner played by an npc that I can revert to next mission and they become the medic?
I was wondering I got alien fireteam normal edition and then got the deluxe upgrade later but it’s not giving me my rewards, I am on Xbox by the way. What do I have to do in order to get the deluxe rewards.

Pump shot gun is the best gun in the game hands down I carry teams with it.
I could never get there with that gun. The high damage is great, but I always liked the flexibility of the Tac21

Not gonna lie the pump is still effective on high difficulties you just need to be gunner to bring out its true potential.

They won't, game's been dead before the initial season pass was even completed.

I got the shotgun and the Twilight DMR from completing missions in the Giants in the Earth section but I think it's random.
We need a 203 grenade launcher with ample shells .
The one near the frag grenade, the one under the modifier, is that Shrapnel or Disorienting blast? They have the same icon.

It drops from Hidden Caches. Lots of head cosmetics, skins, and even unique universal perks are in the loot pool from Hidden Caches.
Drops that way. Had it drop at the end of an act 3 mission.

Negative. NPCs are purely synth allies that don't have a distinct class.
