But, using wire and chain as well as the various beads can give such different looks. I am excited to try this, first with one of your kits to get the feel and understanding the process. Thanks!!

Great teaching on the Kumihimo braiding disc , I am new to this and have always loved this braid and I can’t wait to start making some friendship bracelets.
Glad you found this helpful! We love kumihimo here so we have a lot of resources for it, just let us know if you ever have any questions. For a start, you can see all the tools and projects we demonstrated in the video here on our site: beadaholique.com/collections/kumihimo-beyond-the-basics
Just wanted to inform you and others watching the video that it is not only projects with leather that you have to pre-stretch before finishing. If I remember correctly from when I tried kumihimo the first time and watching how-to videos it was shown and mentioned that you should pre-stretch pretty much all finished pieces execpt those with beads. Sometime you could stretch the cord before starting the braid and then you don't have to stretch the finished piece. The 64 slot board was really interesting together with the double sized boards.
I inherited a beaded necklace from my grandmother that looks exactly like what you demonstrated! I never knew what it was called, so now I know. I think I want to learn this.
Thanks we get so many nice compliments about our quilt background! Hope this class was helpful, be sure to check out this page for more information about the projects and tools we featured in it: beadaholique.com/collections/kumihimo-beyond-the-basics

I love this it’s so pretty. I bought the small disk kit a few months ago last year only thing I don’t know what to do. So, thanks for the explanation and for showing the video.
I’m new to kumihimo. I needed to make a cord for a summer top that I made and I loved the look of kumihimo. I just made my first bracelet but don’t have any clasps yet
Welcome to kumihimo Louise! Hope your first bracelet turned out nicely! Hello ladies, from Mohave Valley, AZ. Sad I missed video earlier. So my question is can you embelish the braid after it's done? I've done kumihimo once before and picked it up again yesterday and didnt have beads with large enough hole to add right away. Thanks for your response!

Hi, sorry for any confusion about the kit contents! Just to re-cap: If the Beadaholique Exclusive kumihimo kit you ordered from us has the word "refill" in the tile, then that kit won't include the disk, bobbins, or glue. If it doesn't say refill then that's a full kit, and everything should be included. Let me know if I can help you out with anything else or help you find anything.

This is my first time watching I was looking for these pieces that you use making bracelets from a bead loom kits that goes on the end of the bracelets after your done I think it's called a slide ends my favorite color is a lighter green. teal light blue
Love your site. When l maken a round bracelet, one side falls into the middle, question what am l doing wrong Ingrid
Hmmm.. if it's just happening on one side, I am wondering if it's a pattern issue with the threads not overlapping correctly. I would think that a tension issue would affect the whole piece and not just one side. Are you doing beaded or non-beaded. If you are doing beaded, I would switch to non-beaded and see if you can make a good long swatch that doesn't collapse. It might help to isolate the problem.
I'm watching on my son's computer-I'm visiting him today.
I love kumimo
Can u use the disk to make motorcycle whip
When is your live show I would love to catch it Thanks
Awesome kit to give.
