From a Saffa… you may be our biggest rivals but we’re your greatest supporters when you play against anyone else. Respect between two phenomenal teams 👊🏻
Great Analysis after the first watch. Try - 5 points Conversion- 2 points Penalty - 3 points To restart the game- scrum when the ball is "fumbled" forward, lineout when the ball goes out of the field. Games to watch : Autmn Nations (tournament) England vs South Africa New Zealand vis France
South Africa is a good team and have a bad and good history, they are something special. good team to back right now. they also have spesial players that is unique, monsters in the front and absolute bruit force in the midfield and amazing speed on the sides
Yes agreed but who are the world cup winners 4 times and twice in a row. 3 of our players were nominated best player of the year and 1 from Scotland I think. Springboks!! Our pride!! Greetings from South Africa
Imagine caring so little about other countries that you didn't even check the country of the other nomination (which was Ireland btw - the team ranked #2)
Take a look at Chasing the Sun 1 & 2! These documentaries are packed with incredible content and are perfect for reaction videos that can draw big views. They also provide valuable insight into the culture and story behind the Springbok national rugby team.
Rugby is continuous play until a infringement or ball goes into touch. Timer can run past 40min until the current play is broken then ref can call time.
Not sure if somebody has answered your question already about when is full time on a match, (not seen an answer below), but although a match is two halves of 40 min, the half isn't over until the ball 'goes dead' ie it isn't in play. hence why SA kicked it into the stands after the 80 mins. I think it was a coupld of years ago, France in a match against Wales managed to keep the ball in play for a good 15 mins after the 80 mins time with the match only coming to an end when they scored a try to win the match.
The game ends at 80 minutes but unlike football (soccer) the game doesn’t stop when you pass the finishing time. The game finishes when an infringement occurs or the ball goes off the pitch, so it can be minutes after the 80 minutes. I don’t think this was the best game for you to see as a first. Many much more fluid matches are out there, others can suggest which.
A fee films to watch Invictus, it is a Hollywood film about the 95 final. Chasing the sun, 1 and 2 documentaries about the RWC 19 and 23. There is also a documentary on the six nations on prime.
Not exactly the most free flowing game to start with, ended up being a very arm wrestle match for both squads. I highly suggest the France vs South Africa or New Zealand vs Ireland Rugby World Cup quarter finals from last year, the full matches are on the official World Rugby youtube channel for both I believe. Probably 2 of the greatest games ever played or the France vs New Zealand game from this year is also incredible
It is 80 minutes but play must go on until ball goes dead or the team makes a "mistake " and it is a turn over the opponents may kick the ball over the side line to end the game
Hay bro, can you do a reaction to the Irish game Hurling? 3000 of sporting heritage. The fastest game on Grass. This game is played for the love of the game, your county. There is NO MONEY. The Hurl is axe shape made from Ash Wood. The ball or Sliotar is a hard solid, sohere slightly larger than a tennis ball. go raibh maith agat 👍 Ps I think you'll like this game.
Penalty kick: 3 points Touchdown: 5 points Conversion: 2 points Right now, the Springboks from South Africa is number 1 in the world. They have 4 world cups under their belt, with the All Blacks at 3, Australia with 2 and England with 1.. They Are The G.O.A.T.S right now.
The game can not end while the ball is still live even if full time has been reached 80th minute so they the ball out which make it dead then game ends. Springbok supporter🇿🇦🇿🇦
A rugby match is made up of 2 halves of 40 minutes and a hooter will sound off at the end of each half. Obviously, the end of the 2nd half is also the end of the match. However, the referee will only blow the whistle to end proceedings once the ball becomes dead. The ball is considered to still be alive if it is still in play or a penalty is awarded. If a penalty is awarded and the awarded team goes for a shot at goal, the ball is considered dead after the attempted conversion, whether it is converted or not. If the awarded team elects to kick for touch instead, and therefore, gets the throw in at said lineout, the ball is kept alive by the attacking team and they will be allowed to continue play after the throw in. The play will continue until the ball goes over the sideline, the deadball line or an infringement results in a scrum (and not a penalty). A try = 5 points A conversion = 2 points A penalty = 3 points A drop goal = 3 points ❤ from CPT, SA #Go Bokke!!!
4pts for try, 2pts for kick conversion, 3pts for penalty kick, when the ball is kicked out, yes, that is called line out, go to the defensive team. Game is played 40min half that 80min game but just like football(Soccer) there is add time, called injury time, at the 40min or 80min mark as long as the attacking team hold on to the ball with out it going out you can hold and play for or till you score or kick it out. My mighty ABs Infamous for exploiting that rule, whatch any Aus vs ABs or SA vs ABs where ABs are down need more they 3pts, a try will win you the game, You need to look up Jonah Lomu this man helped put International Rugby Union back on top of the World, All Black Legend and Rugby God to most Pacific islanders.
The “touchdown “ is called a Tri (because in old days is counted 3 points) and the kick after is a “conversion” (2) points. A “penalty” kick is 3 points then there is also an”drop kick “ also 3 points. At the end the game stops when the ball is dead (like when it’s out and moving has to restart) or the ball stops because referee calls a scrum etc. So full time is 80 minutes and siren will call, but game won’t stop till ball is dead
wtf that's not why it's called a TRY at all - it was originally worth 0 points and gave you a "try" (attempt) at kicking a goal (conversion) which was worth 1 point e.i you got the ball over the line, so you get a try at kicking a goal
Most of Americas most popular sports clock watching is part of the excitement, and stops the match no matter the state of play. Rugby the last play will continue despite the 80 minutes are up, only legal end of plays end the game. Note the game cannot finish on an illegal action. its not unusual for games to go several minutes beyond 80 minutes.
I'm happy you love rugby ask Rassie Erasmus to assist you with understanding the rules. Truth is, he'll help you, just because his the greatest rugby coach in the world. Noone has a better understanding of the rules than he.
It is 40 min a side. The stadium clock and tv clock are linked to referee's watch. There deep rivalry between the NZ All Blacks and the current World Champions, current Rugby champions and current Freedom Cup champions the South African Springboks. PS: the Springboks are the only 4 time World Champions.
If only the Americans can globally sell their NFL I'm pretty sure the rest of the world would take to it like a hot knife to butter. I'm pretty damn sure it's time for American NFL to go global. The Americans would be the springboks and all blacks all in one, and you know what thats a good thing. Getting your dominance challenged is a good thing cause it actually makes you better.
It’s called a try because in the very old days you didn’t score any points when you touch the ball down, it allowed you to “try” for the kick which gave you points, it’s now just a conversion.
The funny thing is, in NFL you don’t have to touch the ball down but in rugby you do… which is where Gridiron gets the term from anyway. Also, the line of scrimmage is just a scrum but spread out instead of bundled up. The ‘genetic’ links are there if you know the history of the games
Honestly one of the most boring games you could chosen from a highlights perspective unfortunately - not your fault of course! I recommend two recent games of the World Cup 2023 quarter finals last year, two of the best games you’ll ever see. France vs South Africa Ireland vs New Zealand
I feel so sorry for America. They think by shooting people with big guns is war. They dont know nothing. America got a rugby team, but they are nowhere, War is rugby between countries without bulits. Its a war that you need to win. The All Blacks (New Zeeland) vs South Africa (The Spring Boks) Is the greatest war in rugby, and both countries love it.

Which one did you go to? Ellis Park or Cape Town?
Cape Town
For more than a century these two teams have been going at it hammer and tongs at the top of world rugby ❤
South Africa is a good team and have a bad and good history, they are something special. good team to back right now. they also have spesial players that is unique, monsters in the front and absolute bruit force in the midfield and amazing speed on the sides

for me its between PSDT and Ox Nche

Rugby is continuous play until a infringement or ball goes into touch. Timer can run past 40min until the current play is broken then ref can call time.
A Touchdown is called a Try in Rugby. When they jump at a trow in, it's called a Lineout
@@eve7093 just a slight correction, it's called a lineout not a line up.
♥️ from CPT, SA
@@sv6g3sa64 Oeps 🤭 your totally right. Thanks for the correction
A trie is = 5
A conversion = 2
A penalty = 3
Match is 80mins but caries on until the ball goes dead.
Time continues until play stops.
A converted try is worth 7 points. 5 from the try 2 from the kick. And penalty kick is worth 3 from the kick
