Eagles 15 aside team may be lagging, yet the 7 aside is dangerous, much respect. Chur from NZ🇳🇿
The skill sets of these players is amazing. Everyone on the feild, no matter the position, has to catch, pass, run, tackle. I like it
They maybe a rookie team. But these are exactly the games they need to gain experience. Remember the All Blacks been playing for more that 100 years and are the most successful sports team in the world with a win rate if remember right in the 90% regen. Americans will get better.
USA is rugby team is useless they start playing rugby 1974 no improvement they can’t tackle worried of pads and diaper Portugal and Argentina have we’ll improve far than USA is embarrassing
That was all blacks B team always is when we play you guys the USA 7s rugby team is pretty good because they get lots of play
@@Sharon-777+ I’m sure that when you are an All Black, you are part of the A team, no B team, just A team members with less experience as an All Black, but not less experience as a rugby player.
skylagaaia1683 A & B team may be misleading. Consider it the ALL BLACKS rookies, with the veterans sitting out.
The point of it was the Eagles players got a crack at the All Blacks, they got hammered but that does not matter, a mug like me will never face great players. Huge respect to the men on the field. Italy were every ones whipping dog and now they are winning matches, Argentina was always a step behind but now they are a real force. The Eagles learned more in that game than in a month of coaching.
Well said absolute huge experience that can't be manufactured or emulated.
It matches like these that turn boys into men.
Doesn't matter: that man will FOREVER be the first American to score a try against the All Blacks. That really IS history. Nothing else in this game matters.
Well they did it once to the Springboks, 57-0 was a dark time in history. The All Blacks do just occasionally run riot of a defence opens up, they put 96 points onto Italy last year in the World Cup, Italy being a team that competes in the Six Nations which is the top Northern Hemisphere competition, albeit a very bad Italy performance.
But yeah the Eagles are a solidly tier 2 team, they are pros at least and get regular game time. Rugby often does these types of development tours to allow T2 nations to measure themselves against the top level as you can't develop as a team unless you know how far off you still are.
That was like David and Goliath. For the All Blacks was kinda like a training session. USA's team needs indeed to learn more and get more experience playing against other countries but not as strong as the All Blacks and more with "less powerful" teams. Watching this game we can see that the USA still has a long way to go to get good enough to be competitive in an international level.
The All Blacks took it easy on them, no brutality needed, no horrendous shots only “ here’s how you play Rugby with only the basics” gotta respect the restraint they brought to the match 👍
USA Eagles might be a Tier 2 Team, but they are not Rookies. Eagles have been playing rugby since 1975. MLR is giving the guys some much needed game time, but the more they face stronger teams, the better they will get.
Seamless teamwork - fifteen men, but one mind - a singular devastating unit.
The best game I've seen was South Africa vs France 2023 world cup that game was cutting edge
2003 world cup final, Australia vs England, so exiting
This was not the AB's number 1 team, but their No.3. team - remember 2x 40 minute halves, no breaks...no padding, sheer muscle, strength and great athletes. No one member is considered a star as to us they all are stars... they are the pride of the nation and much loved.
If you want a competitive game to watch I recommend the 1995 RWC final between South Africa and New Zealand. The 2009 film 'Invictus' (Morgan Freeman & Matt Damon) will help you understand the backstory but might spoil the excitement of watching the game for the first time.
From a Springbok supporter you shouldn't feel bad , All Black's are one of the best teams in the world , the USA team just need more play time and they will grow.
Don't worry give it a while and your team will get it...they seem to be getting there already
The point I think is getting the money/fans onside
Remember you are comparing a Tier 1 team vs Tier 3 team. It's like highschool graduates play against primary school kids. If America puts HALF it's energy in Rugby that they have for NFL, you guys would be a serious contender. America has fast athletes.
Autumn tour 2021 France - All Blacks N-Z in Paris
Rugby World Cup 1999 - All Blacks vs France - Semi Final
That look into the camera was classic!! 😂😂😂❤❤❤😊
Every American should watch this…so that they understand where their rugby stands in the World Rugby Scope.
Also watch the Pacific Nations Cup. The USA are improving on their rugby
Ireland vs New Zealand will be in the USA next year November, rumors are that they will play at Soldier field in Chicago. In 2016 Ireland also played New Zealand in a sold-out Soldier Field. should check out those highlights
USA can be brilliant at anything they put their minds to. If Rugby truly catches on in America, you can be sure they'll come out swinging and punching and making their mark 😊
Actually a number of USA players.
Play around the world.
And are not terrible players.
Considering that Rugby doesn’t really feature in most American sports fans vocabulary.
And actual players is very small in comparison to Rugby nations.
So don’t write it off as a slight.
But rather a valuable learning lesson for the players.
The USA Eagles would never know how far they need to improve without playing one of the most devastating teams in rugby history. The Eagles are the new kids on the block, even though rugby was in America before NFL.
There is a simplified, but just as exciting game of rugby called Rugby Sevens, (7 aside) and this is played internationally around the globe, and USA have been doing really well here even winning tournaments. but the 15 a side game is newly starting in America, (since about 1987) with some amazing young talents coming up through the grades. The Eagles unfortunately are made up of players who were never born into this game unlike the All Blacks players were, and as you can see, unlike NFL, this game is a very high cardio game with very few stops, which the Eagles struggled to keep up with, but in saying that, in a few years, if not earlier, I see the Eagles as having an internationally competitive team, as rugby is slowly starting to compete, and give NFL a run for its money…have faith young ‘Skywalker’ the Eagles will have the force!!👍🏽
Awesome reaction; Regards from New Zealand, home of the All Blacks…
You have to play better teams to improve and measure yourself. Otherwise you're just bouncing around in a bubble and going nowhere fast. Injured pride is a good motivator. Ask Italy: 2 decades playing in the 6 Nations Tournament, pitiful to start, they are now able to compete.
Love you response chur brother
I agree rather watch SA against All Blacks. You will see how the game is played. SA and All Blacks have had a feud since forever.
I’m a 62yr old staunch All Blacks supporter, and when it comes to the ABs vs SA games, I have so much respect for the Boks, that when they win, i’m just as happy because through the years that NZ and SA have played each other, a mutual respect has also grown between the players, but also between the spectators, and supporters.
The Boks have won 3 World Cups, and the All Blacks 2, I hope we can equalise at the next RWC…Best of luck👍🏼😂
All Blacks are the most successful international sporting team on the planet. Over the last 120 years they have won 76% of all games they've played and have a winning advantage over every team they have played.
Don't be too hard on team USA, the game is really getting popular in the US and the women's team is doing really well.
Games like that may look one sided, but it helps showcase the game in the US, and that's important for rugby.
the eagles 7s are a good team and are at 11 in the standings while the female eagle 7s are 4 in the world standings
The point is that this kind of game helps those who need to understand what is needed when you play this game internationally. And have to say the USA is coming along really well and in the not to distance future the USA will be a very competitive country and a big danger in world rugby.
America v Canada games are usually quite competitive and all blacks v ireland 2023 world cup was as hard as it gets.
At least USA have score on that game with All blacks CHECK OUT THE GAME WITH SPRINGBOKS VS USA.
South africa vs France 2023 quarter final or Ireland vs New Zealand 2023 quarter finals. Can't go wrong with either game.
Rugby fans have to stop recommending these blow out games to watch.
Here’s the thing, this NZ team is not the 1st or 2nd choice squad. There are a couple of the 1st team squad members. The US men’s team are a Tier II team.
Just wait a while. There will be Eagles at the top of of the list.
😂
I think it was more to show you that we exist as a country and not just a figment on a map. 🙂🙃
I fully get what you are saying, but I think it's more like a tiny country of 5mil can step up.
Also check Shane Van Ginsbergen vs Nascar in Chicago 😉
Or the Maori Battalion of WW2.
Or Lord of the Rings...
france vs south africa 2023 RWC that is a great game o react to
Painful lesson. Remember back in the early 70s, going to see a talk on the future of rugby by the then England captain Fran Cotton. He as expected talked about where the game was and where in the next decade it was heading. Being from amateur, to semi professional and as is now professional. He also put out a warning about the USA. Still remember this bit. He said give the Americans twenty-five to thrity-35 years to begin playing properly. Then they will be the ones to watch out for. It's getting there slowly but surely.
You make a valid point, this was a mismatch. USA are way more competitive in the shortened version of the game, sevens. In the big game, USA are still very much in the learning stage, but they've produced some World class stars. For proper scraps, Tier 1 teams are the ones to watch going up against each other. Don't despair though, in 1998, England lost to Australia 76-0. 5 years later, England won the World Cup. Oh, in breaking news Ilona Maher, a USA superstar in Women's rugby 7s, just signed for Bristol Bears 15s team, here in the UK.
In a way this is a good thing ,it helps a team too progress, in the six nations England Ireland Scotland Wales and France did th I s too Italy, but year after year t h ey. Pushed forward and even at one point had arguably the best number 8 in the world,Sergio parrisse, it may be difficult too watch when it's your team ,but it can be inspirational watching a team grow ,we used too meet in the pub for the s I x nations and we all supported Italy and first time they won a game the whole place erupted. 😅😂😂😂😂 and again I recommend 2015 south Africa v japan
Same way Argentina has become such a good team, getting to play regular games against the Wallabies, AB's and the Saffas has helped make them awesome. Japan will be up there too one day, especially if the join some kind of Pacific competition
All Blacks games against the US are probably the best games to watch to know some of the rules. The American commentary usually explains the rules along the way so American fans can understand what's going on.
That USA scrumhalf was decent at least in this game, Augspurger (spelling?). lol
USA Rugby Men's XV has been a shitshow for some 15 years. They have gone bankrupt twice despite the fact that they raided the catastrophic injury insurance fund that amature players must pay into. They failed to qualify for the last World Cup and in the one before became the first team to ever finish without earning a single point (different than scoring) in pool play.
The Men's 7s are quite good and both the Women's teams are always near the top.
I think you're right. Anyone that suggested you watch this was trolling you.
It wasn't a rookie US team. You can choose any Rugby team other than the All Blacks and the score will be similar.
The only time the USA win are against smaller Nation teams like Spain or Tonga.
Compared to guys who have been playing rugby since 6/7 years old, they are rookies.
@@jacqueslandman8044 Why not just say that the players are used to playing in 15-second bursts like in the NFL and not constantly play for 40 minutes.
I could point out that starting young makes no difference, just look at your National Soccer team.
@@educatednumpty71 Experience is a big factor.
the US side are a lot more experienced now mate and put up more of challenge today so...don't feel too bad about this game...
New Zealand 57-0 South Africa (Rugby 16/9/2017). Not quite 100 points but a hiding all the same.
Matches to check out are the recent Rugby World highlights. Especially from quarter finals upwards.
I gotta feel bad for the USA there, that wasn't a fair fight.
the sport I know nothing about is cricket. would love to follow that one
Sorry, as a Samoan, there is not enough contact in cricket, and you can’t hit anyone with the bat apparently…😂😂😂😂
you only learn and get better by playing the best.
good game for learning important lessons in rugby... world champs on the field is different than world champs on paper...
Here’s the issue with US Rugby, there are to many people coaching rugby here that have their own idea of how rugby should be played. In countries like Ireland, England, NZ, and South Africa kids learn rugby and how to play in the same way. Then they take that and bring what they have learned to the next level where the skills are developed more right up to senior level, Rugby. What I’m saying is when the cream comes to the top and makes the National Team they don’t have to learn a different way to play the game. This builds a pool of players that can consistently step and out of the national team with little or not difficulty. Here in the US that does not happen.
The point was to give exposure to the american public what the game of rugby . .
Dont put down the Eagles . .
It showed the skills that can be developed in the game . . .
It was an exhibition game . . The crowed came to see the ABs . . They knew they wouldnt win . . .
Totally agree with you I can't for the life of me see what either side got out of that.
They got an understanding of what is required to play the game at the highest level they need this kind of game time or they will not improve
@@martinlaffey328 I think the eagles would of been thrilled to play the all blacks a once in a lifetime moment for them it was a great opportunity
for the Eagles, they learnt more from that one game, than they would have learnt playing six months of rugby playing teams like Canada, or México, or internal games, and for the ABs they got to promote to the Americans, what the Eagles would soon become!!!
Ouch. Raises the profile and hopefully inspires the U.S. to strive harder.
It's hard to beat the top 5 teams in the world,, they are simply to good. All blacks, Springboks, Ireland, France and England,, at the moment.. but the all time greats are the Springboks and the all blacks.
Watch All Blacks vs Springboks Auckland 2017 57-0 dont worry lil buddy Springboks catching these hands too 🤣🤣 its like Operah everyone gettin an azz whoopin
till this day that massacre still haunts SA community
It goes year to year! team to team! people retiring, new bloods! rule changes! right now the new rule changes are nerfing SA! Don't agree with the changes, but I've seen some terrible life changing injuries, even in school rugby, so I understand where the RFU are coming from, but eventually it will become so sanitised, it wont even be Rugby any more! Might as well say you can't punch people in the head in boxing! who's gonna watch that? can't run under 10 sec in the 100m, can't lift over 220lb in weight lifting? I have had my nose broken 5 times, my leg twice, plus a severed patella, multiple lacerations ! and I enjoyed every moment of it! It's voluntary!!
You should watch a full game on youtube,, not as a reaction video, but simply to learn the game.
Should rather react to USA vs Scotland 2018 game, was the first time team USA beat a Tier 1 nation.
Tier 1 meaning the top 10 rugby countries in the world.
USA ranks usually in the tier 2 category. 2021 - 2023 was the worst years of USA rugby, was unable to qualify for the first time for the 2023 Rugby World Cup, 2024 on the other hand have shown progress, definitely not All Blacks or Springboks level, but have improved drastically, was ranked 19th at the worst this year, but ended the year at 15th.
USA played Romania, Scotland, Canada, Japan, Fiji, Samoa, Portugal, Tonga, Spain. these are the nations that are on the same level as USA. Scotland, Japan and Fiji maybe the 3 Tier 1 outliers, but not as uncompetitive as this USA v All Blacks game.
If people ask you to react to USA v Springboks, expect an uncompetitive match like this.
But I definitely recommend the USA vs Scotland 2018 game, and I would recommend USA's 2024 games, they were competitive. Not saying that USA won all the games, just saying that the scorelines were marginal
look for the game where the All Blacks beat the Springboks 50-0 (2017) too feel better about this game...
I’m a 62yr old staunch ABs supporter, but the reality check is the Boks are 3 times RWC holders…
The only team in the world who can give the New Zealand All Blacks a challenge are the South African Springboks. Watch the 2023 Twickenham match th-cam.com/video/bjKVlCyUznQ/w-d-xo.html
As a 62yr old staunch ABs supporter, I have to agree, and it doesn’t matter who wins because though it’s an exciting game, both teams have developed an amazing mutual respect for each other, as have the supporters of both team.
Rugby is the only game I know where at games end both teams congratulate each other, and applaud each other as they leave the field, and supporters of each team actually have seats amongst each other and at the end of the game, all will head off to the same bar or pub to have drinks together and talk about the game….brilliant…
Please react to Springboks vs All black ,it's highly competitive
That must of been painful to watch.
I don’t think either side would have gained anything from that game. If they wanted to increase the popularity of rugby in the USA then this game would have done exactly the opposite. Young children from the states who may have never seen rugby before would watch that and think what’s the point of playing rugby.
If you want to see a truly exciting game watch Ireland v Australia from last week. That was one of the best games I’ve seen in a while.
Ask a Springbok. Once you let go and the All Blacks get the upper hand expect no pity as they will give you NOTHING.
Oh come on! The Eagles are coming on fast! The All Blacks are the best , (sorry springboks) but give the Eagles a few years.....
The pity is, the US rugby team (Eagles) won two Olympic gold medals back in the early 1900s - the game was considered in competition with gridiron, and essentially got abandoned in favour of gridiron.
US is more than capable of putting a GOOD team on the field. It chooses not to, mainly because of poor support and interest... bottom line: who cares about competing on a world stage. The other bottom line is making money... LOTS of money.
That derision you display in regards to this game doesn't show any desire to wish for the USA to make the Eagles a great team again, but aimed at those who wished to showcase the state of international competition.
Union & League needs better promoting & showcasing in the U.S.
Love the hat welcome to rugby
Would the result not be the same if the USA National American Football team played New Zealand's National American Football team?????????
Agreed, this was not a great choice 😊
The All Blacks are a formidable team even against some of the top teams, but The US are newcomers to the sport. It was like putting a 5 year old in an MMA fight against Joe Rogan. Ridiculous.
I Guess the video playbacks will be helpful to the US team to see where they were going wrong.
I can understand why you are a bit annoyed. The US are improving every year. It's only by playing really good teams that they will develop. Cheers.
USA Eagles wanted to play the all blacks. They obviously thought they were skilled enough to play them. USA Eagels under estimated
Our All blacks . So you cant blame them for scoring the amount of points they got.
The USA Eagles knew they were no match for the ABs, but in order to get good the needed to know how bad they were. Every new team goes through the same rite of passage, before joining the big leagues…
@skylagaaia1683 well then why are those americans who've done reaxtions to this paticular game. Are so bummed that the u.s.a eagles lost....it seems to ne
Stupid....?
I also don't know why you would want to watch this it wasn't enjoyable at all the Eagles were totally out of their comfort zone not a fair match! I did feel sorry for them but hopefully they maybe learnt some new technics in the game
Your missing the point mate,it's just a show piece for Rugby, the USA team will have relished the opportunity to place one of the best international teams on the planet. Now take a breath and hopefully because it's becoming more popular over there, you watch how the USA Rugby improve dramatically. Normally I would be just slagging you off because you Americans moan too much, but I enjoy your reactions and just remember we in the UK started this game and football (soccer) and we haven't won the football world cup since 1966, but we still try and we still love the game.
Go watch all blacks and sa in,england 2023 twicanham
but this is just b team from new Zealand
The USA team have not just been put together, nor are they rookies, they have been playing for over FIFTY years. Sorry to be blunt but the US are only good at sports nobody else plays.
Gain in experience.
Usa beat Spain a few weeks ago
Its all about money
They should try a two match set. All Blacks play a pro American Football team at American Football for the first match. Then the second match they play Rugby. American football game first, if they do rugby first, there'll be too many injuries amongst the Americans to put up a good show for the second match. Playing without the helmet and armour that they're used to they'd go in hard....and get hurt bad by the maniacs that are The NZ All Blacks. Just think, if they still had Jonah Llomu. He could take on a whole American football team himself. The guy was an unstopable tank.
