There will be never another Larry Allen Not Just one of The All Time Great Dallas Cowboys but One of The NFL All Time Greats
Goat!!!
@@thelogicalcowboy 👍👍💪💪
Perfect!!! Heroes are remembered but Legends are never forgotten!!!!! RIP LARRY ALLEN 🙏
Well said!
His first wife said she was abused by him physically and verbally! we put these athletes on a pedestal. Look to Jesus don’t look athletes.
I feel privileged to have watched Larry Allen's whole career. There's only a handful of offensive lineman I would even put in the same class with Larry Allen but he for sure is at the top
I've been an NFL fan since 1960. Larry was the best I ever saw. Maybe the best football player ever, at any position. I never saw any other player who was the best at every aspect of their position (remember he was a pro bowl tackle too). Thanks, Larry, for all the great performances. Every true football fan feels this one.
Well said!
Best You Tube Dallas Cowboys Channel RIP Larry Legend Allen The Strongest Man 💪🙏
💪 💪
Larry Allen is unquestionably the greatest offensive lineman of all time
Completely agree!
Most physically dominant for sure, and absolutely in the conversation for greatest. I think Bruce Matthews just edges him but Larry was an undeniable hall of fame talent, one of the all time great O lineman, and the scariest pure athlete professional football ever saw. Larry Allen was not for play on the gridiron period. My sincere condolences out to the people who knew and loved him as a person, passing suddenly while enjoying vacation with his family is just awful and sad, as a dad myself it absolutely breaks my heart!
@@douglaspatrick868 He's the only offensive lineman to ever be named an all-pro at 3 different positions
@@ChrisWoodburn83Yes, and deservedly so. Bruce Matthews in his own right was a 14 time pro bowler at three different positions (more awards than Larry Allen), a 7 time first team all pro at three different positions (again more than Larry Allen), the only man in NFL history to start at least one full season at all five offensive line positions, never missed one single game due to injury in a 296 game 19 year career, and is literally the most individually decorated offensive lineman in the history of the National Football League. They are the two clearest standout all around OL talents in the near 40 years I've been watching live NFL games and unquestionably the starting guards on my all time team. It's pretty much a coin toss between the two as to who was better on a given day really, but there's no denying Larry was the stronger man, and he was absolutely terrifying on the football field. Not just intimidating or even scary, but straight up terrifying. Like I'm fairly certain that every single defensive player that ever saw him coming to put hands on them on a football field wondered if he was going to put their ass on a t-shirt kind of terrifying.😅 He was the freakiest scariest pure athlete I've seen on either line in the history of gridiron football, and an absolutely singular talent that I still miss watching play. Which is a hell of an endorsement coming from a lifelong diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan who hates the Dallas Cowboys like fucking poison. Sad he's gone, especially when you hear people talk about how huge his heart was, the compassion he had for people off the field, and how he was just a decent to his core human being.
I agree but you have to put Jonathan Ogden in the conversation..
His battles with Reggie White are legendary.
Erik Williams was better. Erik was the only one who dominated the Minister of Defense
One of my all time favorites, I don't think any offensive lineman ever made an impact on games like he did.
I agree!
My favorite clip on LA is what John Randle said, that Larry was so badass that he was the one guy Randle would NEVER try and trash talk. He said that Larry would be almost killing you when he's laughing and smiling, imagine what he would do to you if you really pissed him off!
LC that was a beautiful tribute video. Larry Allen was truly a one of a kind in strength personality and athletic ability. It was almost like he wasn't made of flesh and bones, but of kryptonite. He took his opponents strength and made them know they just mere mortals
Exhibit A and B (Takeo Spikes/Warren Sapp ECT.) I pray for his family that they find comfort and solace 🙏 and peace in Jesus name.
LC thank you again my Bro!!
Amen!
Appreciate you, bro! I agree. The guy was a freak of nature!
I second that. Excellent video!
It's so sad to know that Larry Allen passed away so soon! I'm a longtime Cowboys fan and have great memories of the years he played for us. His play on that great Dallas O-line was so legendary that he looked almost superhuman. He will be missed sorely. RIP LA
I had the pleasure of watching the Great Larry Allen play his entire career. The absolute GOAT. I`ll tell my grandkids about him some day. RIP LEGEND.🙏 You will never be forgotten. AND THANK YOU LOGICAL COWBOY FOR THIS TRIBUTE!!✊
Well said! Thanks for watching!
Dear Mister LOGICAL.. I don't know why but when I heard about Larry Allen, it didn't take long until you came to mind. I'm sure you took the news hard like I did and all Cowboys fans who lived through his playing career. Thank you for creating this platform. Most of the time we are bitching about the current team not winning the big game, or reveling in the glorious past. Yes it's fun to let off steam, and sports as fun is important for us. But every now and then we get things put back in perspective. Rest in Power Larry Allen, prayers for his family, and thank you for all the great memories.
Appreciate the support brother. Well said! Great post!! 🔥 🔥
Great collection of clips. Larry Allen is as dominant as any offensive lineman I've ever seen in the NFL. RIP.
Appreciate you bro!
Larry Allen is to the offensive line what Lawrence Taylor was to linebackers, Jerry Rice was to receivers, Tim Brady was to the quarterbacks. Simply the best of all time at his position
One of the all-Time Greats, and he was a Dallas Cowboys, and way too young to go, but left a lot of memories behind, and LA was Stronger than Superman, GOD we're gonna miss you Big Man. R.I.P. THE SARGE
Well said SARGE!
I always love your videos and commentary! I'm so glad you made this. I think we all needed this. We should all strive to have the character that this man possessed! We'll miss ya Larry!❤
I believe that Larry Allen was the closest we will ever see to what it would have been like if Andre the Giant had played football. L.A. may not have been anywhere near as big as Andre was if you can imagine that but he might have been about as strong. Not just that, but Larry Allen might have been one of the very few guys out there that could have body slammed Andre. We will never see another O lineman like him ever again.
Andre the Giant! Interesting comparison! Thanks for sharing.
I still think Larry Allen is one of the most underrated players in the history of the NFL. I’ve just heard so many interviews from so many players that went up against him, and their first hand encounters carries much more weight than a bunch of Cowboy hating reporters of the past 60 years who have never played the game and truly know very little or nothing about it.
Thank you Larry Allen.
Thank you for putting this together. Larry Allen was my favorite player of all time and it was nice hearing these stories and seeing these highlights.
Thanks for watching!
We lost a top five all-time greatest Dallas Cowboys ever. What a profound pleasure it was to watch him dominate the line. RIP Mr. Allen.
Larry Allen is my favorite Cowboys offensive lineman. Larry Allen is the Cowboys and NFL Greatest All Time LG. Rest in Power, Larry Allen.
RIP
They say the good die young. That was Larry Allen. He will be missed. It’s a shame that he’s only ranked 95 on the NFL’s all time 100.
That's a complete crime bro! How is it possible that the greatest lineman ever is ranked so high? Yeah right. It's because he's a Cowboy.
Thanks for the upload! RIP LA…
Appreciate you bro!
@@thelogicalcowboy I appreciate the videos, especially the ones of the Cowboys glory years and the players that helped make those years.
Many thanks, as I was on the lookout for something very special from you paying your respects to such a Cowboy Legend, and you did NOT disappoint.
I had just finished my fall semester of my sophomore year of college at Mississippi State University, as my mom & I were with Family and friends in the Superdome on that Monday Night Football match up against the Saint in December of 1994, as Dallas was a two-time defending Super Champion [feels like a century ago at this point]. We had seats up in the nose-bleed section of the end zone, which there were hardly any Dallas fans, as the ratio in our section was 1 to every 25 was a Dallas fan. The Cowboys [on that unique drive] were driving towards the opposite end zone which we were seated when Troy's pass was tipped in returned by the Saints linebacker. I can assure you this, even the Saints' fans in our section had a surprised look on their faces after Larry ran down Darian Conner, [while standing flatfooted & not in motion] of which Conner was already in sprinting motion before Larry took off after him. To watch LA track Darian down & make the tackle to prevent the pick six, everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE, even the Saints fans could NOT believe what they too had just witnessed, as we all marveled at Larry's unique athletic ability. I doubt anyone that size & weight could run any faster than what LA bestowed the world on that Monday evening. Thank God Dallas did not lose that game, as it was a truly rememberable evening for all Cowboy fans. RIP Larry Allen, as there will never be another gentle giant who is blessed with such world class track speed which you displayed to the world that evening.
What a wonderful post bro! Question do you ever think about writing a book? Because you are a great writer! I always enjoy your post!
LA was so impressive 👏 that was my favorite highlight of his many awesome moments 😢
@@thelogicalcowboy You Sir are too kind, as your message humbled me.
Any Servicemember who hold the title of "Mustang" does so only by commencement of one's military career via the enlisted ranks (AKA the workforce) and later transitions to the "Dark Side" and takes the oath to hold the rank of a Commissioned Officer, as this is the source of the title for my profile.
I passed the threshold of year number 35 of time in service this past January, and for the last decade & a half, 80% of my (military) writing is directed to Senior Leader audiences, as I'll leave you with these three (3) parting thoughts; 1) I shall never tire of sharing what I deem as valid input to your hard work in respects to the products you bestow on your TH-cam channel as my intent WILL ALWAYS be to add value to your product; 2) I learned from a great Leader [over a decade back while in Command] that in order to successfully master the art of (military) writing, one must learn how NOT to write to confuse one's audience, as that is not easy (for most); 3) I adjusted the line from the classic "National Treasure" (2004) movie, as this perspective can be applied to most things in life, "I didn't fail, l found out 2,000 ways how not to make a light bulb." [I didn't fail, as I learn over 2,000 ways of how not to write or confuse my reading audience].
Thank you again for such a great thought, as the world, more than ever, is in great need of more kindness. Cheers!
This is such a great video so many memories, lifelong Cowboys fan and pretty much saw Larry’s whole career. I was devastated when he went to San Francisco, but he will always be a cowboy.
RIP Big Guy...you will be missed.
Rip
This is a Great tribute video. NP LC I hope people in his family see's this vid.
That would be awesome!
Back when REAL MEN took pride in their work and team, no part time plays From the best offensive lineman ever
Man I could watch LA clips or listen to stories about him all day.
Me too!
Sonoma State University’s football team folded 3 years after Larry graduated so he will forever be remembered as the greatest Cossack athlete of all time. RIP big man.
Great collection of posts, LC. This one hurts, it helps to laugh.
Appreciate you, bro! Laughing heals the soul!
This is an amazing compilation
One of the greatest to ever play the game regardless of position. All you hear from the guys who played with or against him is all respect. Humble, hard worker lead by example set the tone for the O.L. There is a long list of plays that show you who Larry was but running down the L.B. from N.O. now that says everything about him as a person a TEAM mate and a player. Larry, Big E, Tuinei, Nate and Frederickson would be my all time O.L. That starting 5 is gonna avg you 5+ every carry and keep QB clean.
Good list!
"That's 100% Compton"
😂😂😂not sure what that means but, FACTS😂💯
Great collection of stories…
Thanks bro!
LA is why I will always &4ever be a Cowboys fan.
1976- until I die DC4Life!!!!
R.I.P TO THE LEGEND!! BEST OFFENSIVE TACKLE EVER. IM A DIE HARD COWBOYS FAN YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!
Again like LA this is the best YT channel out there loved Larry Allen
Appreciate you bro!
The train whistle story is my all time favorite story about Larry Allen. Shows just how dominant he was. IMO he is the greatest lineman ever and most athletic. R.I.P
This video is amazing.
God bless the family. Larry is in a good place right now. His family is hurting. The family is in my prayers.
Thank you so much for making this video 🙏
Thanks for watching!
70 reps?!?! I remember squatting 225 for 50 reps as a high school senior. Thought I was about to perish after 😂😂💯 Respect to the OG 💯
Larry and Reggie are trading tales and going against each other again now. Larry was very special. signed - Raiders fan.
Sad loss of a legend! Rest in Power Larry Allen! 🏉😇🙏🏿
I met him at Sports Nuts by Days Inn. Texas Stadium. Big nice guy. I will never forget it. I'm so glad I took a picture with him, signed my WW2 Cowboys Pot Helmet. My prized possession.
I'm a Packers fan. Larry Allen? All time best. BEAST!!!
He sure was!
LandLord had to lay down the law. Great memorable man & enjoy his laughter & his extensive great player🔎🧐💎💎💎. LC appeciate u bro
Appreciate you bro!
You knew Larry Allen was going to be something when he ran down Connor on MNF. You knew he was going to be a long term starter and the next year he went to guard and he was. People forget that he was a pro bowler as a guard and tackle. That's very hard to do. Larry Allen was able to do that and still be a pro bowler when he went to the 49ers. It's sad that he's gone, but at least we got a whole bunch of memories with him.
He was awesome 👏
If Bo Jackson was bigger , you get Larry Allen.
Bro! Great point!
Cool man. Been too busy. Thanks for letting me catch up.
Appreciate This Post! Think either people don’t know or forgot how ridiculous Larry was. #R.I.P.LA
I agree. Allen was a beast.
Appreciate you bro
Simply. The. Best
I remember Larry Allen and Derek kinard used to come up to California to Stockton California and they signed all of my rookie cards and pro cards that I have with them I still have them to this day
RIP LARRY. YOU ARE MISSED ALREADY. AND A FOREVER LEGEND.
Reggie White and LA are Mt Rushmore of linemen in the NFL. Zero debate.
I never saw anyone get the better of Larry Allen. Actually, I did see one player get the better of Allen, but only one.
Love Larry's NFL Top 100 video. John Randle, HOF DT, narrarated it. Randle is one of the biggest trash talkers of all time, maybe the biggest. In the video Randle started the video saying how he always talked trash to the opponent, but there was one guy who did not talk trash to: Larry Allen. He said "You were nice to Larry......whatever you, don't get him angry." LOL.
RIP Big Fella
Johnny “trash talk” was just trying to get into his opponents’ head. It wasn’t really trash talk.
RIP LA. You were fun to watch. You were not my favorite though. Pre car wreck the Big E was.
If there was ever a man who walked liked a LION, it was Larry Allen!!!
Love u Larry. From a STEELERS Fan.
I am 100% not a Cowboys fan, but if the NFL fielded and All-Time team from any era that team would start Larry Allen at guard. RIP to a legend.
Rest in Power Larry Allen
🙏
Give me an All-time line of Tyron Smith, Larry Allen, Travis Frederick, Zack Martin and Erik Williams; I will put that up against any other teams All-time OL any day of the week and twice on Sundays. If I had one game to win, Larry Allen would be my top offensive linemen over any one else to ever play the game. RIP Big Man.
Larry’s DA MAN! RIP
Greatest Guard ever, but damn. No one told me he died all I heard way bill Walton who died around the same time and the NBA finals. RIP to the Greatest Guard that will ever be on a field
Yeah, bro. I heard a day after. So I was kinda of late myself. Sad news. RIP
It is so hard to imagine pushing 4 wheels 70 plus reps with the energy to do more. Wow
Gonna be missed RIP Big Dawg
Sometimes you got to put your foot down even if you might lose a foot😅😂😂😂😂😂🍾
RIP to the Greatest
Great tribute for a graet man!!
Even beasts cannot avoid the terrible prolonged abuse of PEDs. RIP
Rest LA
We miss you Big Dawg
A bunch of people mentioning that Allen was some kind of GOAT. He was a freak of nature, but he wasn't even the best on his own line in the '90s. That was Erik Williams in the 4 years before his injury.
You do know Allen came the same year of Williams's accident? Allen was drafted in 94. Williams was legendary great in 92 and 93, but from 94 (after the injury) until he retired he was a shell of himself. At no time was Williams better than Allen from 94 on up.
6:22 absolutely legendary
DIEHARD Giants fan here but he is the Greatest OL I've ever seen
Not only benched 700, but he also squatted 900!
Now...just imagine how strong Reggie White was bc he tossed him like a ragdoll.
Reggie White knocked him out the way one time😂
RIP Larry Allen
No cap rip i seen homie break a table slamming the domino's 🦏
I’m gonna make some of you mad but this video just proves that Barry Sanders was the greatest pure running back ever! Can you imagine how many yards Barry would have had if he ran behind Larry and the rest of that line!?!?
Emmitt had 3 rushing titles, league MVP, and SB MVP before Allen ever arrived.
I loved Larry Allen even though I hate the Cowboys since the 60s!
I still don't like how Parcells knows nda forced Larry outta Dallas😡
Would love to see prine LA vs prime Aaron donald. When an unstopable force meets an immoveable object. Theyed probably tear the fabric of reality when they clashed
Rip LA❤
These stories have just justified the fact that Emmitt Smith’s stats maybe handicapped or should have an asterisk😂 RIP-LA
Nope. Smith had 3 rushing titles 3 years in a row 1991-1993, a sb mvp, a league MVP, a rookie of the year, and 2 sbs before Allen was even drafted.
@@thelogicalcowboytrue but. Come on bro, Emmitt had 1700yds in Larry’s first year!
Tyler Smith is a first-team All-Pro LG and the Cowboys seen that coming out of college but I still feel number 73 should be retired for the Great Larry Allen
Larry Allen is the greatest offensive lineman of all time. No, i don't care who you think was better. LA dominated HOF players like they were children. The only human being capable of handling him might be a young Joe Greene. Maybe.
Pause it at 8:59 😂😂😂😂
That neck is a monster!
Mike he wasnt darn 380 pds! Stop lyin lol
😂
War stories.
What did Larry die of?
The family never revealed it. Allegedly LA was walking with his wife on vacation and then felt the need to sit down. He set down on a bench took one deep breath and died. That's what the report says.
@@thelogicalcowboy as a patriot fan I think John Hannah and larry were 2 best guards I ever saw ...if u put hannah at fb now and larry at guard it would've been the running game from hell.
I wonder who the lineman was that was thrown in a trash can lol.
So LA only played with Keyshawn Johnson from 04 to 05. These are all of the linemen Dallas had in those two seasons.
Flozel Adams
Andre Gurode
Al Johnson
Mat Lehr
Ben Noll
Jacob Rogers
Torrington Tucker
Kurt Vollers
Tyson Walter
Etan Brooks
Mark Columbo
Stephen Peterman
Rob Petitti
Mark Rivera
Johnson said that the linemen were around 280. He definitely got that wrong. Seeing that no linemen on the team was below 300. But the smallest guy was Ben Noll who barely wore 300. He was 300 pounds on the dot. So if we're just going by the smallest body frame then Noll would be probably the guy.
Hope it wasn’t bc of the shot
He wasnt human?
Bro, really?
