Yo mike, it would be awesome if you make a video fishing lakes and ponds in south jersey, either in kayak or boat. Like vineland, millville and bridgeton. We have great ponds and lakes with biggins right here at home man. Some are tough because the fish can be finicky. That's why it would be awesome to see how YOU tackle our lakes here at home dude. Love you dude, never give up!
What an excellent video ! Exactly how I learned to rig it! That odd colored bait is key! Also you can do a slow retrieve, let it go to the bottom and almost drag it . You don’t have to crank it wide open. Don’t get excited when u feel a fish, keep a normal speed sometimes you get another fish to come and hit it!!!
Great vid Ike. I use the Yum flash mob jr. but I like the Shane’s mini which seems a little smaller than the jr. is. I also put a dab of gel super glue on the shank/bait keeper of the jig head before I slide the bait on. It keeps me from going through a bunch of baits unless they short strike and bite the tail off. Big fan. Come to Oklahoma and let’s catch some western smallies!

Do you think with all of that hardware on there that it makes much of a difference between braid and fluorocarbon? I am going to order one of these mini rigs because the larger ones are just so cumbersome and a pain in the but to work with. Thanks.

Pa I think ur allowed as many as u want.in gonna have to look again , I forget lol I never got anything on A-rig yet but this year I told myself I’m gonna do that for some smallies and other baits too .next time u come to Harrisburg let me no I wanna get ur autograph for a buddy who loves ya for his birthday this year be awesome
AZ Bass Head they make 4 wire rigs I believe. Instead of an X it is oriented like a cross. Put your hooks on the bottom and middle wire and change those baits up a bit. Use screw locks to thread bare baits onto the rest.

Great tips Mike. I have always liked the 30 degree line tie because of the wobble. Why do you like the 90 better?

I know this video is almost 2 years old but both the VMC Darter head and the Berkley Power Swimmers are no longer available in those colors.

Just be careful of the total weight of your rig. If you go with heavy jig heads you could exceed the maximum lure weight specified for your rod.
