Not sure if the AIr2S has this but the Mavic AIr2 you can turn the camera left or right in the app without turning the drone. I've used it a couple of times where I needed to maintain signal and not spook wildlife. Although its hard to do with fat fingers! Hopefully DJI will work on it. The tiny dot I just can't seem to slide. Although with the 30dbm and extra antenna on the Air2S signal shouldn't be an issue.
I had NO IDEA the clip before the tent (11:56) was a mask until you said it (16:59). You lined it up so good that I thought they were both taken from the same place. Impressive!

Thank you for this great review! I find that downward facing sensor an issue too, thanks for the tip on the sticker! FreeGafo sent me here, he’s the only other TH-camr that’s mentioned the downward sensor issue. Definitely a must know for flying through tight spaces - which I love to do!

That footage is insane! Top review mate. Some amazing info there. Shocked it did so well in the cold. My mavic air dropped out the sky at -5 haha. That rainforest location looks mind blowing! Well done on the tent shot too. I can’t do that with my msr access 1 sadly haha. Amazing vid mate.

For the price it really should have a variable aperture. DJI has it's benefits in SW and smooth flight, but the Autel Eco II is much more customizable, has 360 OA, and doesn't have Geofencing. I have both drones, but for someone who's looking for a single "beast" drone they should look at the Autel Nano, light, or Evo..
Fantastic breakdown, the best I have seen, and I've been looking! I am new to drones and will be using one for action shots during my ebike reviews. I do need some follow-me capability but can pick areas without many obstacles. The video quality of the DJI drones just kills the Skydio drones that many use for follow-me action shots. Do you have any input on the follow capability of the Air 2S, Mavic 2 Pro, or any of the other drones you have used. Thanks again!
@@ZimyDaKid well I don’t feel like constantly changing them, I keep my 16 and 32 on there 90% of the time. Also, motion blur doesn’t matter when you’re far from the subject. Exposure, however, is important. Aperture change does NOT remove the need of ND. Just makes it a LOT easier.
Just because I never worked with the air2 and because the air2s is clearly better than the air2 in terms of video quality because of the 1inch sensor so I feel like it makes more sense to compare it to the M2P which has kind of the same camera
@@ZimyDaKid Thanks for answering... i had two at home for trials. The difference is not as much as expected. The AIR2S is great, but not a single difference in sunny day. Even worse, my AIR2S is faulty, some horizontal black lines are showing sometimes when filming. The lines appears when the drone is turning . The 1 inch sensor seems more usefull in low light conditions. Worth the upgrade for 150Euros max. No more.

What case/ bag do you use to carry the air 2s drone to these remote shoots? And will it protect the drone if I were to say fall on my bag while skiing? Great vid and I love your drone work, the stuff you make is what I aspire to make in the future once my air 2s arrives.
Well I personally prefer the Air2S because as I said in the video, it's much lighter and smaller which is very helpful for the kind of adventures I usually shoot
I'm thinking about my first drone. And now it's between mini2 and air 2s. Which one will you recommend? The purpose it's mostly photos... is it quality OK on mini2? I'm using full frame canon camera and I'm wondering if the quality of mini2 will not be annoying for me... maybe 2s it's the best choice...

I rely way too much on the aperture and would hate having to add an extra ND filter! lol
the thing is that even with a mavic 2 pro with which you can change the aperture, you'll still need ND filters to shoot

What case/ bag do you use to carry the air 2s drone to these remote shoots? And will it protect the drone if I were to say fall on my bag while skiing? Great vid and I love your drone work, the stuff you make is what I aspire to make in the future once my air 2s arrives.

Well I personally prefer the Air2S because as I said in the video, it's much lighter and smaller which is very helpful for the kind of adventures I usually shoot

I'm thinking about my first drone. And now it's between mini2 and air 2s. Which one will you recommend? The purpose it's mostly photos... is it quality OK on mini2? I'm using full frame canon camera and I'm wondering if the quality of mini2 will not be annoying for me... maybe 2s it's the best choice...
I would definitely go for the air2s. Quality and flight capabilities will be much better !

I always land in my hand. I usually take off and land from my hand when the surface isn't good to land
