Great shots of the girl with the windswept hair, and the color photo of the ukulele busker.
I have been meaning to try some street photography.
We are so spoilt with wildlife in Vancouver parks, I primarily shoot that.

Urban photography can be just as exciting 😉

Thanks Brian, I do like your street photography videos. I share your passion for landscapes, but the city is on my doorstep, so it became my primary photo playground.

Like you quite rightly say, street photography can be done right on your doorstep & is accessible to just about everyone.
Great place to learn & practice your skills as a photographer, glad you enjoyed the video 😊👍

Very nice Brian! My favourites are the busker making a statement about oil and the chap sitting outdoors at a table with the light projected on the ground through some sort of slats. Although I have a strong preference for B&W for street, the sunglass peddler shot came out really well because of the colours.

Thanks Bri for this very enjoyable video !!! In addition to some great shots, it is always a pleasure to see the video sequences you make, and for which you always choose a perfect background music, which conveys the dynamism of the big city in motion !!! Apparently, Vancouver's alleyways are full of treasures to be found ...
    Thanks again, ciaooooooo ...

I enjoy the street photography, thank you! Also, good suggestion with the panning. I had an occasion last week where that might have worked. Next time!

I used to do panning shots a lot when I first started doing street, it’s enjoyable to do & something different at the same time 😊👍

I live in Detroit and Im hoping to include street photography into my portfolio....but this is very well timed!!! Fantastic job indeed! I also like the mix of b/w and color shots. I have a film getish at the moment medium format and I really love the play of light and shadows. I have done panning shots, but they were not very good. Those settings you have will help me adjust.
My fav shot is of the lady with her hair blowing behind her. Great job. Vancouver is a beautiful city- Im just a tad jelly!! Awesome job B!

      Cheers Alan much appreciated.
With those bright sunny days coming it makes way for great conditions for high contrast images, ideal for both colour & BW.
The girl with the hair blowing in the wind was my favourite shot too, was pleased with capturing that image😉👍

Really enjoyed that! Only problem is- out my way- standing in an alley, I'd get hit over the head before I could press the shutter! Great shots!

I shoot mostly landscape but I love a bit of street photography as well so please keep it up!
It is also nice to see Vancouver, a very neat and clean city that seems to be quiet and not crowded, compared to the cities I know anyway.
Thanks for sharing, always happy to see a new video from you!

I'm doing a photography course at the moment and its making me look at genres I would never have. So I'm on a roll, so this video is timely. Just wish I lived near a city, well maybe not lol. Great shots, you have an amazing eye for shapes that work.

That’s great to hear Lisa thank you
      😊
It’s always a good thing to have a go at many genres of photography, there all very similar in certain ways, street photography is very diverse & will learn you so much about photography in general.
Good luck with your course & have fun learning 👍

@Mike Homze Photography Yes I do a bit here, my town is about 1000 people. I take photos of dogs and people where I work, a cafe. And as I take my camera everywhere, I've taken pics of Harleys etc around town, I always ask the owners first. Bigger towns would just be something different again.

I think 1/160 is to fast. I would use 1/60 as a good shutter speed.

    • @BriBarnhamPhotography
      @BriBarnhamPhotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว

I’ve shot at 1/60 before, but that day 1/160th was a good shutter speed for light/speed of cars
