In the east, Infinix is like a massive brand, especially for phones here in Africa. Low prices for pretty good specs. Kinda weird to see ShortCircuit talking about them but happy for them too!

Infinix is a child company of Transsion Holdings from China, the brands Infinix, Tecno, and itel come from them and they all make phones that are extremely popular in Asian and African budget gadget markets. TH also owns the accessories company Oraimo iirc. I'm from Nigeria and my phone is actually a Tecno one. This is their first laptop as far as I know, and if I know anything about them, they wouldn't be making the most balls to the wall system on the market by any stretch of the imagination.
Palmstore is an app that comes preinstalled on every TH phone, so I'm sure they made it too btw
Edit: I'm sure they're planning to break into the western market next, if they approached you guys

The bixby button on Galaxy phones was really nice once rebound to a function of my choice for example. Except for the custom backscreen and the side ports it feels like a rebrand (Edit: or maybe same chassis manufacturer). Another difference is the screen is 16:9 instead of 3:2 on matebook that mean they have the webcam above the screen instead of IN the keyboard.

I'm actually glad that for once a US/Canada based TH-camr didn't just go ahead and assume they know everything about all markets and say "For this price, this is the best, just go buy it!". Because the PPP and thereby the prices can be extremely different in different countries. Obviously a lot of people from India are watching this video giving Infinix an opportunity to boost sales, this also gives them the opportunity to be introduced to Western consumers, so it is ethically the right thing for ShortCircuit to give an overview of the pros and cons of the product but be upfront about the fact you can't really say if this product is indeed as good a value of money for the actual target audience or not because that is not the market you primarily operate in.
As an Indian, this video gave me enough idea about how good or bad the product is in the view of a team that has hands-on experience with a lot of high-end products but also cautioned me enough about not blindly fit everything you say to the product because ultimately the competition to this product in India may be very different than what you see in US/Canada.

Tuxedo also has an InfinityBook Pro 14 Gen 7 w/ an i7-12700H w/ a 99Wh battery (the Schenker Vision 14 and Slimbook Executive 14 are basically the same laptop). It's possible to have decent battery life w/ Intel if you tweak with power limiting (eg, lowering power limits, adjusting EPP), but in general, recent Ryzen mobile chips tend to be a lot more power efficient.
