I have 4.5yrs old Karizma r and have clocked 56k kms. Its gud fr city use (Bangalore traffic 😜) and highly recommend for long distance touring. I had been for several 1500kms trips and hav never faced a single break down. Everything is stock apart from few like Philips extreme vision 55-60 W head lamp, two additional fog lamp, mobile charger, michiline sirac street tubeless tyres. I am getting 37-40kmpl in city n highway. Its a legendary machine what i can conclude, will never sell it
aman kocher hi, earlier i was using motul but now using repsol. I was also getting less milage around 28-30 kmpl .. then repair my cd unit, some piston head work n carburettor jetting job post which m getting 38-40kmpl from last 12k kms
a good pint is that there are a lot of availability of spare parts shock can be used from cbz s nd hunks foot pegs too i guess fairing to is available the new model is really an over kill , hero made a realy bad move there by the new version the old karizma just needed a bit wider tyres nd a rear disc , honda unicorn was discontinued but due to demand and the image it had in the indian market honda india bought it back ,hero should have done the same

Being a Karizma R Owner, i would say, changing stock handle bar to RD handle bar will make riding this bike more comfortable. I have ridden this bike with both handle bars, and RD handle bar is definitely a move towards more comfort for Karizma R owners.
Back in 2008 I bought Yamaha Gladiator which I am still using as my daily commute till day but always had a crush on Karizma and regret that I didn't bought Karizma because of budget issue.

Old is gold I' purchase 2 nd hand bike done 30000 on 1st bike and 2nd bike done 5000 . Barking and controlling on this bike is effortless . Want to purchase new bike karizma..but hero has bought a shit ... in place of 2007 old karizma r .. the new 1 .. shit man ...
exactly correct. I am driving my karizma R since 2012 having milage of >40 in city. also maintance is just oil change and a service needed on 3000 kms. till date driven 68000 kms not a single complain from my bike.
